Did not ask us which Chanel we would like to watch a left the volume muted. His service was okay but he seemed rather annoyed just by our mere presence. Also seemed as though he was rushing us out. To top all of this off it was my wife's birthday. so I left only a two dollar tip. if you are a person of color or a minority group or just a non white family I would not recommend this place. Food was also lacking in quality don't know if it was just our food but the veggies were old.

Owners are very hard working, very nice people and try to be accommodating to all, sometimes to the detriment of the diners. Understandable they do not wish to alienate patrons and hurt their business, however, many times parents do not control their children and they run rampant, which does not make for a good dining experience. Otherwise, the place is wonderful, wait staff, owners and food are terrific, smiling, pleasant and accommodating. Parents just need to be aware there are many others besides themselves that wish to enjoy a good meal and that restaurants are not playgrounds for children,.

I ordered extra salad dressing because it's so good you could drink it and extra wasabi. All of the rolls were 5 star. The salad was kind of limp but edible. The salad dressing was TERRIBLE, someone messed up bad!!! The recipe was all wrong. I've had their salad dressing before and loved it, I pray this was a one time mess up, because it was awful. The house soup was also not good, tasted kind of diluted. No flavor, used to have a little spice in the background. Now there is nothing in the background. Also, I got one tiny spot of wasabi and that was it. I would have paid for extra, but there was no extra wasabi. One little spot for three rolls??? The staff was friendly and efficient. The meal was well packaged with silverware, chopsticks, no fortune cookie though. I ordered and took it home, otherwise I may have said something to the staff about the dressing, soup, and extra wasabi. Overall, the meal was ok. But not great. It may have been the timing. It was 9pm on a Sunday and they close at 10:30? Not sure but please work on the salad dressing, house soup, and the wasabi nazi.....

I actually think some of the items here are pretty good, but comparatively speaking, I've certainly had much better. Firehouse is definitely different than what you normally find in Danville. It takes a step away from the Midwestern fare and takes me a bit closer to my personal comfort spot, Southern cooking. When I see fried catfish on the menu, my eyes make a beeline to it. This food can satisfy my cravings until I get home, but would never replace it fully. First time I visited, I got their fried catfish and shrimp combo with fries. Firehouse definitely gets an A+ on their seasoning, they season everything up heavily and more! The catfish was definitely overdone and wasn't flakey. The shrimp was pretty subpar in my opinion, really rubbery and not very fun to eat. It was just greasy and messy to eat. The french fries here are superb though. I came back and was in the mood for their gyro. They really loaded that sandwich up, I would say they made it too big for its own good. Don't get me wrong, I love extra food, but the extra food caused the sandwich to collapse on itself. I ended up eating the items individually, rather than all together. And I am aware that this is not a specialty Arabic/Greek restaurant, but the quality of the gyro meat was just fine, nothing too crazy. I really want to like this place more than I have so far. The employees here are super nice and the menu is just so appealing and is a nice change in pace to the diner style menus. Having that variety instantly makes it a place worthy of a revisit in my eyes!
