We drove from Florida just for Monical's Pizza. Actually we came to see family but Monical's was a close second. Thus we met family at Monical's. We opted for: soft breadsticks, cheesy bread, salad bowl, and family sized Monical's Delight Pizza. Wow! The breadsticks were soft and paired perfectly with the marinara sauce. The cheesy bread is deep dish pizza crust loaded with cheese and their special spice blend. Their salads are always cold and fresh. I love their creamy Italian but they have several dressings to choose from. The Monical's Delight was a true delight. Their signature thin crust was topped with their special marinara sauce. The toppings of sausage, mushrooms, pepperoni, green peppers, and onions were perfectly proportioned and well cooked for a wonderful combined flavor. Our server, Shelby was amazing. She kept checking on us and even took group pictures for us. The restaurant has plenty of comfortable seating with a couple of tables outside. read more

This place is way too expensive for the quality of food you get. The breadsticks just plain suck. We were a little confused when we saw nacho cheese was an option for a sauce, based on most breadsticks I've had dipping them in nacho cheese sounds nasty. The breadsticks here only have soft pretzel salt on them. They litteraly taste like someone messed up making pretzels. The nacho cheese however made sense after tasting them. They still sucked. The pizza was covered in sage! This is pizza not stuffing. I do not like sage at all which ruined it completely for me. My husband also did not like the pizza and he has no issue with sage other than saying it was a weird choice. If we were locals we would never get pizza from here again. read more

You cannot go wrong with Monicals's. Excellent pizza, salad, and breadsticks. Staff at this location are ok. I expect wait staff to be attentive, friendly, and helpful. Often times this isn't the case at this location. Restaurant is clean and well decorated. Across the board Monicals restaurants are over priced. read more

Went inside with a friend, son, and grandson on 4/3/19. It was kind of late 8pm and my son didnt have much time because him and my grandson had to be up early the next morning so we just wanted to eat and go. So we left at 9pm. We sat and ate our salad and drank some soda while waiting on our pizza and breadsticks (an hour.) Our waitress had told us it was going to be a few more minutes (about 30 minutes after ordering) and there was a couple who came in after we did and another group of 3 that was already served and got their food that had came in a few minutes after we did and placed our order. Another waitress brought out the couples food about 20 mins later while we were still waiting on our dinner. So we got up to leave about 5 mins later and it had been an hour just waiting and when we did get up to leave, here came our waitress with the pizza and breadsticks and asked if we wanted to box it up instead. So we agreed and told the manager why we were leaving so he gave us our family pleaser with breadsticks free. They were not very busy at this time either. I would have understood if they had a lot of people there but there were only like maybe 6 tables full if that. I think at that point the waitress heard us talking and got upset that we told the manager about it. He asked the waitress if she boxed our salad too and she told him yes and she had not and when we got home we opened the box of pizza and she had thrown the pizza in the box. There were a few slices of pizza upside down, It wasnt even on the cardboard they use for the boxes. It was off to the sides and corner of the box. The pizza had looked like it had been dropped in the oven. It had so much black stuff on it. The cheese on a few slices was pushed up on them like they were trying to scrap it up to flip it back over and then about 10-15 slices had the cheese that wasnt even melted. All the food was cold completely. Wasnt even the slightest bit of warmth to it. He may have gave us the meal for free for the amount of time we had to wait, but we were very nice and respectful to the waitress for her to be that way to us. This was totally uncalled for. We were not even able to eat this meal when we got home, so being free was not even worth it either. We had to go get food from burger king so that my grandson wasnt starving when he went to bed. How can u treat a regular customer in that manner. I know the manager was not aware of the way the pizza was but the waitress definately was. My 5 year old grandson started crying cause he was hungry and even he wouldnt even eat it. It looked so bad. I had 1 breadstick and it was cold too. My son on the way home which was only 5 mins away even said to me that the box of pizza wasnt even hot. Now I know why because it wasnt even cooked completely. The whole night we only seen the waitress 3 times. The 3rd time is when she was bringing our food out when we were leaving because the other waitress heard us talking. But to be honest if she had of put that pizza on our table looking like that I would have thrown it on the floor. That's where it looked like it had came from. We go to monicals often and we have never ever been treated like that before let alone have food served to us in that condition. It was awful. I will stick with tilton illinois location from now on. I dont care how far I have to drive if I want pizza from monicals. That waitress was definately disrespectful and shouldnt even be in that field of service. read more

Monical's is a great casual dining place in Danville. They have awesome pizzas (the BBQ chicken pan-style or thin-style is my favorite)! However, their salads are not so great (the lettuce doesn't seem fresh). But it's a great place to go with a group of friends. It's not the best place to take a girl on a date! read more

Monical's Pizza is easily one of the best pizzas in the world. It sucks that over the years, their corporate greed has caused them to reduce the amount of ingredients (you have to order extra cheese if you want it to be the Monical's of old), but Monical's is so fantastic that it is still far better than most pizzas in America.
