The vegetable of the day (which seems to always be the vegetable of the day whenever I visit) was mixed veggies. It probably was the stuff you buy frozen in the bag, that was just okay as well. The hash browns were fantastic though, I would highly recommend getting breakfast items, they seem to do those extremely well! My next visit I order the chopped steak and I was very impressed. This one had a lot of good flavor, wasn't too dry and, did I mention that the portions here are super big? That's the midwest diner for ya! On my most recent visit I got the country fried steak with mashed potatoes. This steak was also huge, maybe even larger than the size of my face. It came with this delicious white gravy that reminded me of the gravy put on biscuits and gravy here in the south. It was full of pepper, just the way I liked it. The potatoes on the other hand were a bit disappointing, it was almost like it was powdered mash. Not even the gravy could save it from the texture and flavor.
