Super juicy and crispy outside. The flavor is very authentic, just like the one I had in Taipei. I'm for sure coming back!

This is the BEST Taiwanese chicken I've ever had in my opinion. The light crispy skin on the outside is seasoned so well! My favorite items are the King or the monga nuggets with salt and pepper seasoning, and the fried mushrooms. Always order the fried mushrooms! :)

Okay, I think I finally found my favourite Taiwanese fried chicken in Vancouver! The fried chicken fillet was made to order so it had a very nice crispy and crunchy coating and it was super juicy! I was fascinated by how thick it was... each bite was so satisfying! I personally really liked the King and Cheese chicken fillets! FYI: Since everything is made to order it will take a bit more time (around 7-10 mins) PRO TIP: Happy Hour daily $6 nuggets Location: Aberdeen Square food court

so after bbt at spiritea, a, s and i decided to try monga fried chicken. yes - we walked back over to aberdeen square. i think we must have walked btwn the 2 malls 5+ times today. big tip - pls don't go here when you're super hungry because they make everything from scratch. there is a longer wait time but it is SO WORTH IT. i, ofc, did my research and it didn't rly take us long to order. we had the chee-z signature original and the taiwanese style popcorn chicken. i think it took about 20min for the food to be done - the longer wait was because of the cheese for the chee-z signature. the popcorn chicken didn't take AS long and i saw that they weigh the bag. this ensure that each bag share equal portions. now for the food itself, the chicken filet thing was SUPER JUICY AND SAUCY. we all loved the cheese and the ketchup on top of the chicken. we were also very surprised to see that the filet was bone-in as in it was real(?) chicken. the cheese was melty and the chicken is pre-cut so all you need to do is separate the pieces. tho i felt that there should be knives available because it was a bit hard to share the cheese. the popcorn chicken was juicy and fresh as well. each piece was coated with equal amount of salt and pepper - there wasn't a piece that was super salty or bland. essentially we devoured everything and all agree that we'd come back and try the other stuff on the menu!

$10 worth of chicken nuggets. Roughly $1.20 per piece

Tried this place a few times. The King Chicken is pretty good for what it is, but the wait times can be pretty painful. For anyone on a lunch break, expect a 35min+ wait for your food. For those that go during off times, expect a 15-20min wait with no lineup. They had a soft opening a while ago, and they should be accustomed by now. At their defence, the cook did hand make the nuggets with the batter for freshness. It ended up being a bit overcooked and dry in areas. There is also no sauce available like ketchup/siracha/etc. My biggest issue was the cost of chicken nuggets and what you get. It's about $10 and ends up being 8-9 pieces of varied pieces ranging from small to medium. Just imagine the Taiwanese style chicken nuggets you get at bubble tea places or the night market to get an idea of the nuggets. For the price you pay, you can cover both the entry fee at the night market + a more generous bag of chicken nuggets.

Hot chick, 2 dragon bbt ,chee-z signature

A gem in the wall Located in the 2nd food court in aberdeen centre. Hot chick was super juicy and spices for the heat wasn't to spicy but felt overwhelmed with paprika. I would recommend trying the original one and cheez chicken was nice too if you like cheese and tomato sauce. Bbt is meh but what you expect from a chicken joint overall its a good chicken stop. Plus not alot of people go there so good place if yall scared of crowed spots.

Not juicy chicken breast

October, 3, 2019 I finally have time to try their: taiker chicken (Japanese sauce & seaweed powder).... So disappointed... not as good as review said online.. big piece of chicken breast, with half chicken meat, half bone, look huge, not juicy as church's chicken, chicken was tasteless, a lot of seaweed powder on chicken, but cannot find any Japanese sauce at all. not worth $12 a piece. Don't need to line up for 20 to 30 minutes, as review said.. just wait for 10 minutes.. no line up @ 1 pm. I wont go there again.

I like it! It's been a long time since I've been to Richmond. I came across this chicken steak in this square. It tastes good!

The interior is big, clean and modern decor. Menu is big with delicious options and reasonable prices. Food also came out quickly! My only feedback would be is if they had some photos on their menu to be more clear as to what the dishes are and how they are prepared.

Decent Taiwanese spot in Richmond area. We usually go to Memory Corner for Taiwanese but decided to…read moretry something new. What's appealing here is that their Instagram advertises daily specials so you can get some dishes for a great discount (like 40% off). We tried the braised combo (pork ear, pork intestines, fish cake), Taiwanese egg wrap, braised pork sauce rice with deep fried pork chop, and yam taro mochi balls. The braised combo is pretty solid - I didn't really like the funkiness to the intestines (I generally enjoyed it in barbecue settings) but the fish cake was fantastic. I also liked the texture of the pork ears. The Taiwanese egg wrap was a bit tasteless, so I wouldn't recommend. Braised pork sauce rice is the lu ruo fan which is a large portion with seaweed, bean sprouts, and soup on the side. Pork chop was flavorful and juicy but not crispy batter, which is okay. Yam taro mochi balls were sweet and chewy. I don't like taro but I loved this dessert! Service is okay. They give a water jug for self pour but the water jug was of questionable cleanliness. The specials were not discounted so we called it out and we weren't told that we had to put the order with a server, not the QR code, so it was a strange interaction. They ended up honoring the discount. Also, they shut down ordering 1 min before 10:30pm - guess they didn't want more money as we wanted to order 1 more dish and they preemptively told the kitchen to close. Sure it's fine no big deal, it was a lot of food.

The dining space is small but the decoration inside makes you feel like you transported to a different country. Marshmallow Thick Toast 4/5 The toast was about an inch thick, well toasted outside with a pillowy soft center. There's some melted chocolate on the bottom that added to the smores vibe. The marshmallows on top weren't very thick, so it melted to an even layer with perfect browning. The toast was cut into 9 pieces so it can be shared but given the portion I think 1-2 people would be fitting for this dessert. We weren't too hungry, so we shared amongst 4. Jasmine Tea Jelly 4/5 I really liked how fragrant the jelly was and that the jelly was a softer jelly that reminds you of Aiyu jelly. The after taste was a bit bitter but I feel like that tells me it was brewed and made and not just bought to serve. It's served with a splash of half and half I believe. To-Go I wanted to try and compare all the tea flavored jellies they had, Jasmine, Oolong and Earl Grey Tea Jelly. Packaged with small packets of the half and half to add later. The best was OOLONG 5/5- it had a slight roasted tea flavor that was refreshing and comforting at the same time. What you would want from a milk tea. Second best was Jasmine - fragrant and less bitter than the one I had in restaurant, typical jasmine flavor that's lightly floral and not too heavy Earl Grey 3/5 - it was good if you like earl grey like me, but it has an intensely strong fragrance and flavor that might be off-putting if you're not used to the taste. It was by far the strongest floral taste and smell of the three. I'd definitely be back to get these to go, they carry well and you can cross borders with them :)

We stopped by at lunchtime at first, but they weren't open yet. Since we really wanted to try it, we called again in the evening to confirm their hours before heading back--and we're so glad we did. The service was excellent from start to finish. They were incredibly patient and took the time to answer all of our questions thoroughly, which made the experience even more enjoyable. The food did not disappoint. All the Taiwanese snacks we tried were delicious and full of authentic flavors. Our absolute favorite was the shaved ice--it was refreshing, perfectly textured, and just amazing! Highly recommend this spot if you're looking for genuine Taiwanese food and warm, attentive service. Definitely a 5-star experience!

At first glance, the prices are average for this type of food. However, once I saw the humongous portions, I believe this vendor should clearly be categorized as cheap eats. For example, for roughly $10, you get three large pork chops (fried or marinated, I slightly preferred the fried more), sautéed cauliflower in XO sauce, soy braised tofu skin (so good I paid for extra $5 portion), crunchy pickles, stewed fish tofu, marinated egg, and a whole separate box of white rice. This is easily $15-20 in NYC. Same price for the crispy, tender, and juicy Chicken Nuggets (aka Taiwanese Popcorn Chicken) with all the trimmings. The quality of every item in the box was top notch and all very delicious. What many customers ordered that interests me for the next visit was the Salt & Pepper Chicken (椒麻鸡), which was basically a huge piece of pounded chicken thigh, battered like the popcorn chicken, with a mala sauce on top. This is a gem for the people who live locally in the area. Such bang for the buck!
