LOVEEEE THIS PLACE! Always go to when at Serramonte Center. Huge portions for the price & service is quick & friendly.

Reminds me of the Mongolian bbq in SoCal brea mall. This is pretty close but for some reason they don't offer tomatoes as a vegetable ... otherwise it was pretty comparable and pretty good!!

This place is a hidden gem at Serramonte Food court. Out of all the options, I think you get the best bang for your buck here. You pay between $15-$18 to customize your own noodle or rice bowl on the Mongolian grill. There are about 5 different meat options to choose from with many different vegetables. I would recommend stuffing the bowl as much as you can because everything in it gets put on the grill regardless. Because of this, the portion size is generous, capable of feeding two people or having leftovers for one person over the course of 2 days. Once you get your food, there is a sauce station to the side. I think this is VITAL as most of the sauce you select for your bowl will end up being at the bottom of your container. Since all of the options are based on your choices, the flavor will be based on what you pick. I recommend adding the long red peppers to add spice and flavor to the dish. I noticed the difference in taste between the first time and the second time I got a similar combination without it. The line moves pretty quick and the staff are pretty cool about how much you can add to your bowl. If you're getting food from the food court, this place shines bright and doesn't hurt your wallet for what you're getting. I'll choose this place every time hands down.

You can add as much as you want and the employees even encouraged me to add more! Towards the end, you select which sauces you want to add and I basically got a scoop of every sauce. Despite that, I still felt like I couldn't taste much of the sauces once everything was cooked. There's also another small sauce bar with chili paste, soy sauce, and teriyaki sauce. They definitely helped with the flavor and I overall did enjoy the meat and all the toppings. Great to share with one other person too!

Great fun! Add your own meats and veggies AS MUCH AS YOU CAN Pick from small or large size bowl. However much you think you'll eat, of course large is better value and share your food with someone. If you're light eaters then two people can eat one together They will add noodles and add lot of sauce and cook it for you. Placed in a to go box in the end Set your expectations for food court fast food, you know? Rated for the value and fun of building it yourself Be prepared to wait because you have to stay in line order. Perhaps 15 mins to be done

BYOB - Build Your Own Bowl! @mongq_serramonte in located inside @serramontecenter where you can create your own Mongolian BBQ with fresh ingredients and meat options! Fun doesn't stop there as workers will help you mix the perfect sauce combo and cook it right in front of you! owner and workers are also very nice! The perfect place to eat after shopping around and walking up an appetite

Solid Mongolian bbq spot. The place was clean, price was reasonable, and i liked that they added the noodles separately at the end (they let you pile the bowl up without noodles) which is nice. Quick service, I'd come back.

Good service and good food with good price. Pack as much as you can and the sauces are pretty great too. Come with noodles! Always a plus.

Food itself tastes alright. But I ended up throwing away 2/3 of the portion due to excessive amount of blackened charred participles that are unhealthy if consumed. The fryer/griller should do their due diligence to monitor how much charred particles have accumulated on the grill and clean it as often as necessary but they definitely did not do that in my case. I felt that time was wasted, food was wasted, money was wasted and more importantly, it's just unhealthy to be eating this amount of blackened stuff. I probably should've thrown everything away.

    $16.99 for large

Okay it's not THAT good as some of the other reviewers are raving about but it's a good option for mall food court choices. To me, this tastes very close to Panda Express or teriyaki chow mein. You have 4 meat options and they're: beef brisket, beef chuck, pork belly, pork loin. They're all shaved very thin and slightly frozen. I would recommend getting the large bowl for $16.99 and the regular is pretty small. Considering that the meat is frozen in round rolls, they take up a lot of space when you try to fill up your bowl. You'll want to make sure you pile your bowl up strategically and definitely fill it up to the max -- trust me, once they throw it on the griddle, all the meat will flatten and seemingly disappear so unless you wanna eat mostly noodles, you'll take my advice. I also added just a little onions, cilantro and mushrooms for flavoring. They will add garlic and all the sauces you need. I can tell they used a lot of msg as seasoning because I was quite thirsty for the entire day afterwards. Service was pretty standard. Wait is fairly quick. Each bowl takes a couple of minutes max to cook. I had a lot of noodles leftover to take home. Give this a try if you're at the mall and need food but I wouldn't go there specifically for an awesome meal.

I love Mongolian bbq and was ecstatic when I saw this gem at the mall! The food was top notch and so flavorful! The ingredients are super fresh and they are generous with their portions. I got a regular but it was enough to feed for two! All the sauces are good and so I get everything cuz I can't decide. With an extra spoonful of garlic and chili since I like my noods with an extra kick! It was delicious and I'll definitely be back!

To be honest,I am a big fan of barbecue. This Mongolian grill is a place where my taste buds can explore the rich flavors of Mongolia. From fresh ingredients to expertly crafted sauces, ensuring every bite is packed with deliciousness. The service was excellent, too. I left the restaurant feeling completely satisfied and can't wait to go back.

The food here was fresh, clean, and absolutely delicious. The staff were very friendly and kind. Considering the price, both the food and service were excellent. I'll definitely visit again!!

The brownish burgundy gulyash came with an egg, and had a too-rich flavor in the form of sourness in the sauce, just like my previous Mongolian gulyash experience elsewhere. Not my thing. The Tsuivan is hearty, not noodles the way you'd think, but more like the starchy toothpicks you get when you grate a doughball. Well flavored with the fat of the meats it was cooked with. Very rustic. Very stick to your ribs. The buuz was good. And authentic, filled using chopped meat rather than regular ground meat. Bigger than a typical dumpling. Smaller than a bao. Another basic but hearty dish. Maybe you'll find the flavor bland, but you'll notice it. The huitsai is currently my favorite item from here so far. Having a subtle but hearty flavor profile like the other dishes, you can tell this is a Mongolian soup. The carrots, the fried potatoes, and the sliced beef are nice, but the hot soup with the meatballs made it for me. No buns came with the soup, but the noodles were a really nice and filling surprise. Huurshuur - imagine the Cantonese dim sum 咸水角 AKA fried mochi dumpling, but stuffed with the filling used for buuz. And flattened. The coleslaw is a no-go for me though. We Cantonese made that dish but I guess the community asked for it or maybe Mongols do have a similar dish. I didn't ask. Potatoes and carrots instead of onions and pepper. While there are a few highlights, several dishes don't quite justify the premium pricing. The Burmese beef and lamb curries are really good--the meat is consistently tender and the flavors are deep and well-developed. We also really enjoyed the rainbow salad and the paratha with curry sauce, though both felt overpriced for what they are. Other menu items have been disappointing: * Catfish Chowder: This was fairly average and bore a strange resemblance to pea soup. * Walnut Broccoli Chicken: Another mediocre dish that failed to leave an impression.
