Food: 3.75-4.0 | Service: 4.80 | Ambiance: 3.75-4.0 OASIS VIETNAMESE in Pacifica continues to deliver on their Vietnamese eats. I started picking up from them just before COVID and was grateful they continued to stay open during SIP. Their CHICKEN PHÓ (Phở gà) has been my favorite, as well as their COMBO BANH MI and FRESH SPRING ROLLS. Finally dining in, I found their eatery airy, sun-lit and spacious for its size. There is a shared parking lot but it may get crowded during lunch hour. The staff warm and welcoming, was helpful with questions on the menu. Ordered: PHO BÚN RIÊU - Crab paste and tomato vermicelli soup. Their soup is clear and clean, with tomatoes, the crab paste lending a scent of briny goodness. Pork meatballs & slices, green onions. Adding in all the greens & herbs offered made for a satisfying bowl of comfort. BANH KHOT - Savory mini pancakes topped with shrimp and scallion oil. Plated w/leafy greens and herbs on the side, along with/ a dipping sauce. This is a dine-in only menu item. Lucky me. This is a new fav for me! I'll definitely be back to dine in again and try their other PHOS, GARLIC NOODLES, and DRY VERMICELLI BOWLS. See you there!

I ate the protein not the salty soup or noodles!

Ok pho in Pacifica. The menu is varied enough but on the day of my visit everyone was in the mood for soup

We stopped here for lunch. Located in a tiny strip mall kitty corner for the swim school. We got seated right away. I ordered the grilled beef bun. That was fantastic and huge. Service was perfunctory. That's fine. They have a big menu. Food is good

3.5 stars, but since we can't give half stars, boosting to 4 stars for the variety in their menu options. I found Oasis Vietnamese Cuisine via yelp and was eyeing them for a good amount of time because not only are they just a few minutes drive from my house, they also serve bánh mì (Vietnamese sandwiches) as well as Vietnamese steamed rice rolls. I finally got to check them out for the first time on the evening of Sunday, October 18, 2020. This was during the time when businesses were slowly opening up after the shelter in place pursuant to Covid 19. As such, I came in for food take-out. After parking in their private lot, I arrived shortly before 7:30 PM. The dining room, a casual setting, was closed for eating in. They had tables set up nearby the cash register for placing and picking up orders. Below are the items that I ordered: DEEP FRIED IMPERIAL ROLLS - They use the egg roll wrapper that bubbles up and makes the imperial rolls chewy rather than crispy. For this reason, I was not a fan. VEGETABLE SPRING ROLLS - Generously stuffed with greens. The dipping sauce is much darker than what we are used to. We prefer the peanut butter forward version that we typically get at other places. STEAMED RICE ROLLS w/ FANCY PORK PATTY - Very good! This is a simple and light tasting dish with chewy textures from the steamed rice rolls. Love it!! FANCY PORK PATTY VIETNAMESE SANDWICH - Good, but they could be a little more generous with the pâté spread. FRIED TOFU DRY VERMICELLI BOWL + DEEP FRIED VEGETABLE EGG ROLLS - Ok, according to DJ. VIETNAMESE COFFEE - Strong/heavy coffee flavour. A little more condensed milk and/or water, please. Service was quick and friendly. Fast forward to Sunday night of August 24, 2025 when we decided to order dinner to-go from Oasis again. This time, we skipped the DEEP FRIED IMPERIAL ROLLS and VIETNAMESE SANDWICH. DJ ordered the FRIED TOFU DRY VERMICELLI BOWL + DEEP FRIED VEGETABLE EGG ROLLS and VIETNAMESE COFFEE again. Below are the new items in this night's order: FRIED TOFU SPRING ROLLS - Again, these spring rolls were generously stuffed. The sticky rice paper wrapping tore on a couple of the rolls, so they did not stay contained, unfortunately. STEAMED RICE ROLLS WRAPPED w/ GROUND PORK - Yummy! This also came with slices of the fancy pork patty which was great. The chewy steamed rice rolls had an extra layer of texture with the little bits of ground pork. Love this, too! GRASS JELLY W/ COCONUT MILK - If you like grass jelly and coconut milk like me, this dessert is definitely for you. I really enjoyed it. For three food items and two beverages, the total came out to be $57.22 which was pretty reasonable. Z picked up our food this time and commented that they weren't warm and fuzzy. Oasis isn't DJ's go-to Viet eatery around our area, but I will definitely want to hit them up more often for their steamed rice rolls, maybe a bánh mì, and dessert. I also must try their smoothies and soups!

I don't come here enough and I really need to change that. They have a steady stream of people coming for take out/doordash orders so we never have to wait for a table to dine in. So family friendly with a little station in the corner stocked with crayons, coloring books, and reading books. These kept my 2 little ones entertained while we waited for food and then afterwards so the adults could finish eating. Staff is also super friendly towards the kids and even bring out extra bowls, plastic utensils and scissors to cut the noodles. All without asking! If you're a parent, you know how it is. Food was solid. Not the best of the best, but I'm still giving this 5 stars because it was good for a decent price and we took home leftovers so portion size was good. I enjoyed my bun rieu. I've also had their banh cuon which is legit and I've not been able to find another spot that does this locally.

    12. Seafood Noodle Soup
    Nina M.

Ordered the following: Seafood noodle soup Beef stew noodle soup Thai iced tea Coconut water We enjoyed the drinks (coconut juice and Thai iced tea but wish they were bigger) and the seafood noodle soup was decent. I liked how there are different seafood and not juice shrimp and fish balls like other places. I actually saw imitation crab, fish balls, fish, shrimp, scallops. The beef stew was okay, the broth was nice but there was too much noodles and not enough beef. In hindsight, if we come back, I'll try the rice dishes or the sandwiches. These also looked decent. Parking is easy, there is plenty of parking spaces. Service is a bit slow but that is okay as long as you aren't in a hurry.

I was so damn hungry but not anymore after tasting this.
    Michelle T.

Asked for lemon grass beef got chicken. I understand I asked if i could sub the rice part of lemon grass beef with vermicelli. If she had said no I would've just gotten the damn rice plate with the beef. This chicken dry as hell. I also got the fried lumpia, tasted like it's been sitting out and refried. It's not crispy but somehow hard. Had no flavor, the fish sauce tasted sour. Price is ok but I would never be eating here. I'm sure their other dishes may be good but sure as hell not taking another chance.

Probably homemade chili oil. Smelled really good.
    Winnie C.

Came recently since my friend and I drove by and pho sounded good. Friend reported that their pho broth was very good and meat was tender. Portion looked small but was actually the perfect size. I opted for the crepe. Enjoyed the deep fried crispy crepe. The filling was not seasoned so it was a bit bland. Some of the ingredients also tasted like they have been sitting out for a while. Discovered the chili oil after I finished eating. It smelled really good. I'm going to have to try using that the next time I come by.

Great pho broth, plenty of meat, perfect ratio to noodles. The fried springs rolls were ok. Service is quick on a cold Saturday morning.

We drive by this location everyday.. Today, we felt like having Vietnamese. We ordered: catfish claypot ( recommended by the waitress) and Beef Noodle Soup(#2). My husband loved their meat balls and beef. The noodles could be softer but good. My catfish claypot ( special menu) was Wow. I loved the sauce. The fish was so tender but not so much the bones. I also ordered the HK Milk Tea (hot). It was delicious. Just as good as in HK but it was very hot but so good. The service was awesome. We would definitely come back, and try something else. Yes !! So good.

I'm surprised I haven't left a review considering I've been here a good amount of times over the last year. Hidden gem, didn't realize there was a Vietnamese restaurant close by. Located across the street from Mazzettis bakery and next to the swim school. Plenty of parking in the area just be careful not to park in the dedicated swim school spots. Prices are very reasonable and the portions are great. We love coming here whether it be for a bowl of pho or the rice plates, it's always good no matter what we choose. Kid approved as well. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. So far, we haven't tried anything we don't like. Definitely worth a try, you won't regret it!

I personally like to come here more for the hot pot option. FOOD: 9/10 An ample amount of options to choose from, including appetizers, drinks, meats, vegetables, seafood, noodles, and more. My go-to orders are always the tomato-based soup, brisket, Chinese donut, and homemade biang biang noodles, which, in my opinion, are a MUST! For dessert, no matter how full I am, I always gotta go for the fried buns with condensed milk. Their Thai Tea is also creamy and good! I love how they don't skimp on the milk. The sauce bar is great and has a lot of toppings and sauces to create your own hot pot dipping sauce concoction. My go-to is ponzu, sesame paste, hella garlic, chili oil, hella cilantro, and green onions. You already know. They serve a complimentary scoop of ice cream! They normally have 2-3 flavors to choose from. I always go for the green tea for the most part. SERVICE: 8/10 Staff is always quick, efficient, attentive, and nice! AMBIANCE: 9/10 Indoor and outdoor seating are available. I love how they have good-sized tables inside whether you're dining solo, with a small group, or with a big party. I also love that they still have their COVID shields. Why? I don't know. A little extra sanitary measure wouldn't hurt anyone, so why not? If you sit outside, they also have outdoor heaters, which is always a plus.

It was about 6pm on a Saturday and we luckily got seated, but larger parties started coming in within the hour. - PARKING - Lots of spots around the plaza area! - SERVICE/ENVIRONMENT - You can sit outside or inside, but since it was a little windy that night, we opted to sit inside. They put us in the middle between two parties but we didn't mind. The tables have screens that help with the airflow of the stoves. You mark down everything you want on the menu paper, and then give it to the staff. Once they get your order in, they'll wipe off the menu paper and you can continue to order that way. - FOOD - We all got the half BBQ, half hot pot option. It's definitely a unique experience that you can't find everywhere, so I'm glad we got to try it! I got the mild spicy of the signature soup, but I think if I were to ever come back I'd probably get something without spice as it got to be a bit much with the veggies! The meat quality is pretty decent here as well, and I liked the variety of sides you can get here. - OVERALL - A solid spot with a unique dining experience if you get the half and half option!

No water, just pure concentrated flavor. The restaurant gets its name from simmering, one of the essential Chinese cooking techniques, and you can taste that philosophy across the whole menu. The Dry Pot lived up to the hype, but the real surprise was the skewers. Beef, lamb, and chicken, intensely flavorful and rich. I can't stop thinking about them. The potstickers were also way better than expected. Usually a throwaway order at most places, but here they were juicy and packed with flavor. The beef pancakes were fantastic. Golden and crispy on the outside, juicy flavor bomb on thes inside. Both crunchy and a little chewy (in the good way). Came back a few weeks later with friends and ordered the whole grilled fish, which I'd been eyeing since my first visit. It looked magnificent, but it didn't really pop the way the other dishes did. If you love fish it's worth trying, but the dry pot, skewers, beef pancakes, and dumplings are the stars here. Things started okay as we ordered a few lamb skewers as an appetizer which were a little tough, but had a nice cumin and spicy flavor. However, the main course was the biggest disappointment. Both were very under-salted and had very little flavor. The chow mein was equally bland, and the noodles were also very mushy and overcooked. I have never found myself reaching for the soy sauce at restaurants, but I did this time, not that it helped much. Overall, the meal felt very unsatisfying. We walked around looking. Another party came in after us, a party of 7 and they were even louder than us. Anyways, everyone just started making themselves at home. Took a table, got our own menus, etc. Quality/Quantity - Today we got the following: Boneless Hainanese Half Chicken - When I ordered this, I did not know it was boneless. When it arrived, I said to myself another skinny chicken, and then realized it was boneless. So for a boneless half chicken, it had a very reasonable amount of meat. I am not sure if I have EVER had an entire half chicken deboned for me?!?! I really appreciated it. And the accompanying ginger was so good; we asked for more. A little too salty for my guests, but I like salt. Clams with Black Bean Sauce - Good flavors. Decent portions, considering that it is a seafood dish. One clam still had some sand in it, but the rest was good. Chicken Chow Fun - Not on the menu, but they gladly substituted the beef for chicken for us. The chicken was very tender. Decent portions. I actually thought it had generous portions, until we finished it all. And we are light eaters. But the food here must be that good, because both my guests finished it all with NO leftovers. Atmosphere - Small local restaurant, with cool decor and even better messages! See all my pictures. Private room available. Two unisex restrooms. Both of which have positive messages; again, see pictures. Open 7 days a week from 10:30am to 9pm; closed Tuesdays. The restaurant is located right off Highway 1 Southbound at Rockaway Beach, which is a great little area to walk around in. There are coastline views, a handful of local shops to pop into, and the Mori Point hiking trail if you want to get in a few thousand steps. Parking is available at all times throughout Rockaway Beach, making access to the restaurant easy even during peak hours. Uoyakutei itself has a good variety of classic Japanese dishes. You'll find sushi, ramen, skewers, specialty meats and fish, bento boxes, all manners of rice and vegetables, and beer/sake all on the menu. On my trip there, I tried the Gyu Skewers, Chicken Karage, and Chicken Teriyaki dinner plate. All of them were amazing! Particularly the Gyu skewers. I don't know what the chefs season the meat with, but it's tender, juicy, and so very tasty. At $4 per plate, with 2 skewers per plate, they're a very good deal and probably the best thing at restaurant. The restaurant has a decent amount of table seating, as well as a sushi bar for single diners who wish to pop in and out and get something quick. Service is also very good all around. While the hosts can sometimes get busy checking people in and getting them to their tables, the sushi chefs and servers are all very welcoming and warm. It's a great experience beyond the food, and the food's quality just makes it an even better local spot. Highly recommend if you're passing through Pacifica and need your fix of Asian food!

I am home sick, which is why I placed the order. I asked for a refund and they told me they could not authorize it. I did not order through a third party, just directly from the business and it says my order will be delivered in 5 minutes. I do prefer the exceptional service, menu, and food quality at Sushi Kashiwa, which will have my loyalty and business moving forward.

Checked out this hidden spot close to serramonte mall. I love how they have a small parking lot!…read more We went on a weekday and it's AYCE $32.99 dinner time. First time experiencing 90% of the food was already in skewers, so basically you just have to dip them in the soup base you choose. You were able to choose 2 soup base and we chose the House special and sauerkraut broth. I personally like the sauerkraut more. I love how they marinated the meat not too flavorful and they have a section where the meat is marinated with mild spice. I like spicy food myself so I like the flavor. If you cannot take spicy, they have a section on the menu where you can choose the non marinated meat. They have 4 different kinds to choose from: Ribeye Roll, supreme beef roll, New Zealand Lamb, black tripe. All their meat is pretty fresh for their price. There is a variety selection for vegetables too and drinks not included! Sauce is also self serve just like a lot of other hotpot places. I'm happy that they have fermented bean sauce, black vinegar and roasted sesame because those are always my Togo sauce to make for hotpot! Service was excellent and always check up on us on what we need! Inside isn't small or big but very neat and love the decorations on the wall. Overall, I would definitely go back soon!

Non-skewer meat quality is quite good. The skewers are fun but hard to pick up in the refrigerator,…read moreand the meat on the skewers is quite tough. The spicy broth we got was soooo oily my stomach hurt the next day, so watch out for that. Could use more vegetable options and have more food stocked, the fridges look pretty empty and sad though I'm guessing they're trying to avoid food waste. Price is a tad high for what it is, but the novelty of the skewers is what you're paying for. I would recommend coming for weekday lunch to get a better price. Also the fried mochi with brown sugar is dangerously good if you like chewy sweets.
