An update to my previous review... Now they no longer include the fancy lobster/scallop/handmade fish paste in the dinner (at least, I didn't get that this time). But instead, they now have the hot food buffet during the dinner. The fruits, desserts, and seaweed salad are now moved to the buffet section too. So the food on the conveyor belts are just the hotpot toppings. I just want to say... the chicken wings and the sweet and sour pork are really good. I know I come here for hotpot. I should be loading up sliced meat and veggie - my healthy cheat meal. But as a chicken wings addict, I got distracted. Their fried chicken wings are similar to the San Tung's chicken wings but they are the non-spicy version. I got two pieces to try. Oh man, I know I was in trouble after taking the first bite. The wings were perfectly crispy and juicy inside. The sauce was pretty good. And then I tried their sweet and sour pork. The meat was juicy and tender. Even though they were under the heat lamp, I still got a bit of crunch from the coating and their sweet and sour sauce was just perfect. I know the hot food buffet supposedly are distractions so that we would eat less meat. I should have ignored them. But dang, they put out pretty decent Chinese food over there. I end up ate a dozen of their wings and a plate of sweet and sour pork ... I broke the Asian's rule of making my money worth at AYCE hotpot T^T But they were so tasty that I truly enjoyed them throughout the night. Service was a bit lacking tonight. I feel like they were a bit understaffed. I miss the aunties who often swing by at the tables to check on our soup level. But the owner stepped in and fulfilled our requests quickly when we asked for refills :) So don't hesitate to raise your hand and ask for refill if the night gets busy. This is not the fancy hipster hotpot place. But this place always has a sweet spot in my heart. Plus, where else you can catch an NBA game while having hotpot on a Friday night? :D read more

I was craving hot pot on a cold Friday night. After clocking out for work, I knew everywhere would be packed. I remembered hearing about Round N Round Pot and realized it was the perfect time to try it. I called ahead to check the wait, and the owner was incredibly nice and even saved a seat for me and my partner. Right away, it gave off an amazing first impression. When we arrived, I didn't expect it to be a conveyor belt hot pot at first, but it totally makes sense given the restaurant's name. FOOD: 7/10 SERVICE: 9/10 AMBIANCE: 8/10 FOOD: 7/10 The conveyor belt setup had ingredients ranging from fresh vegetables and seafood to meats constantly passing by, so you can grab what you want. The broth options were solid (we ordered tomato-based soup), and the meat portions are generous when you order from the server. Kinda our new (old) fave spot! I haven't been here since ~2021 and recently came back to back weeks. It was the original rotating hot pot spot before Seapot moved into Daly City and I have to say, I forgot why I stopped coming! They're generous with the meats (order with server); plenty of vegetables, starches, seafood, fruits, and dessert on the rotating conveyor belt; unlimited refills on soft drinks; self-serve soft serve and clean sauce bar. Pretty much checks off all of the boxes! They have five sections of seating with four of them by the conveyor belts. One section is off to the side and it's only round banquet-style seating. Call and put my name on waiting list for four on Friday night around 7. Wait about 15 min after we arrived. There are 3 conveyors with booth both sides. The dipping sauce stand is on the side. Waiters and waitresses are busy walking and checking around. Ambience is not so noisy. There is unpleasant smell of all the fat in the air when we are waiting because of ventilation is not super strong or not very good design. Surprisingly, once you start dipping in, that smell is subsided $32.99 adult dinner, 1.5 hours max. For dinner, you have one seafood plate including half a small lobster, one piece of frozen scallop, 2 fresh fish ball served in a special tube. Else you can order supreme beef thin slices, beef belly, pork belly, pork shoulder, lamb shoulder or chicken slices, one at a time per person. They do come around often to check water, soup, clear the dishes and ask if you want to order more beef. We tried chicken broth, Tom yum, Japanese miso, and cilantro and preserved duck egg soup bases. They are all basically good to start. The conveyor has seafoods: shrimps, clamps, mussels, baby octopus cuttlefish snails, snakehead fish slices..., many kinds of dumplings, fish balls, shrimp balls, imitation crabs balls, different kind of tofu and mushrooms and vegetables, beef tendons, beef blood, chicken giblets, chicken feet, ... different kind of glass noodles ramen and udon.... It's a nice relax experience to enjoy hot pot at your own pace and test your skill of making your own dish to your own . I really like this place. The hot pot is AYCE. Very good quality. The meats come as ordered from the server. The other items, which are plentiful are provided via a conveyor belt. They also have a condiments bar that is part of the hot pot meal. I chose the Thai based soup, which itself was delicious. The serviced was excellent and they made us feel welcomed! I believe there is a 2 hour time limit, which is standard. The floor was a little sticky due to mopping but otherwise, the place is cozy. Got the premium beef and lamb shoulder for the meats. But that's not all! What gives this restaurant its name is the conveyor belt full of different vegetables, noodles, dumplings, seafood, mushrooms, delicacies, and more! It's the end of the year and I'm going to end it with one of my new top hot pot places in the Bay Area! Located in Brisbane, Round N Round is a hidden gem. The price is super reasonable, $33 AYCE pp for dinner, cheaper if you come at lunch. They also have premade "boiling point" or "tasty pot" takeout if you can't stay in. Every person gets 1/2 lobster tail, shrimp paste, and a scallop. Slice meat options come with beef, pork, and lamb. My favorite thing about this place is the conveyor belt. I love seeing the wide range of ingredients, all of which you can easily grab without having to flag a waiter down. The best part is if they keep running out of something before they get to you, you can order it with the waiters and they will bring it out directly to your table. TL;DNR - service was great, got food poisoning Ambience: Nothing special. Lots of booth seating, but the seats aren't bolted down, so if the party on the other side moves around a lot, your seats will move too. Not super loud or anything. Normal noise levels. Service: They were very quick and helpful. If there's anything you're looking for in particular they will get it for you. They're very attentive, I will give them that. Food: Unfortunately, this is where the rating goes south - the food was bland. The sauces tasted watered down and they give you really tiny bowls, so it's hard to add all the big stuff like cilantro, green onion, garlic (if you're into those, which I am). We got the chicken and Thai soup, based on some of the reviewers. The soups were light and fragrant, however also more on the bland side. The food comes out of the conveyor belts, and even has things like dessert with fresh fruits. I got the pineapple, which was very obviously from a can, but tasted artificially sweetened. It didn't even taste like a real pineapple. Then everything went south when we both had horrible bubble gut all night. I thought i would be fine in the morning, but now I realize I had food poisoning from this place. I'm still recovering, but i haven't been able to eat for a few days after this place. When my wife and I walked into this restaurant, we were greeted by the friendly owner. He asked us what we wanted to drink and told us where the sauce station was. We chose the miso broth and the herbal broth as our soup base. We also had the lamb, pork, and chicken breast . The meats were thinly sliced and fresh except for the chicken breast, which was frozen. The sauce station is located towards the back of the restaurant. All the sauces were well marked. They had a pretty big variety of sauces and condiments. There were fresh spinach, sugar pea sprouts, bean sprouts, bok choy, taro, wintermelon, lettuce, lotus roots, and mushrooms circulating around the conveyor belt. There were also fish, clams, shrimps, mussels, fish balls, crayfish, squids, spam, Chinese sausages, wontons, and varieties of noodles. As for desserts, there were different flavors of jello, cakes, and fruits like strawberries, cantaloupes, and grapes. During our meal, the owner and the waitress came by several times to ask us if everything was ok. They both asked us if we wanted to order more meats. The owner also added more broth to our soup. You can cook in your own pot and at night and weekends they give you a half lobster tail and fresh made fish balls and scallops per adult. They have a decent sauce station and choice of lamb, beef or pork belly as the meat options. Not really fancy per se like wagyu or anything like that but decent quality meat to put in the broth. Broth was decent and they refilled the trays pretty regularly. The good thing about this place was there is usually not a wait and the servers come around and check on you fairly often to bring out more meat/refill broth. Interior could use a remodel but that would probably also raise the cost of the meal so it's fine for what it is. Would come back if feeling in the mood for hotpot. read more
