If I could give Monarch and Edgar 20 stars, I would. Their services were impeccable. I have no words to express the level of comfort we felt, and how well our loved one was treated in their hands. They were detailed in every single act and had compassion with every single move and decision we needed to make. They were there by our side, as if the deceased was their loved one. Throughout this most difficult time, we felt that the huge burden of how things were going to be done and/or if they were going to be done properly, was not only handled, but it was handled with the utmost care. My words cannot truly express how we felt. Unfortunately, we had to use their services twice in three months and both times, they were unbelievably kind, respectful, and caring. If you have to make a decision, or if you can make a decision, I strongly recommend you make the right one and go with Monarch. They also provided services during the 7/40 day prayer at the cemetery site. Due to the heat, we chose to go forward with the services, which included tents and chairs for our family and friends. Not only did they provide that, but they also provided extra umbrellas and water and handled all the little nuances such as the flowers on the picture for our loved one and the incense that is customary in our culture. Again, it was the way they handled everything that makes any money spent, worth it. And their prices are within the same costs as most other places you will call. For a few dollars that may be extra in cost, there is no question in my mind that we gained more than we paid. Thank you, Monarch. I never imagined writing a review for a funeral services agency. My grandfather's funeral took place today, and we worked with Monarch Funeral Services. Let me start by saying how we ended up working with Monarch. My grandfather unexpectedly passed away at home the day he was released from the hospital. It happened late at night and we contacted several agencies. Every agency, but Monarch, estimated about a 4 hour wait to have his body picked up from home. Losing a loved one is never easy, trying to make arrangements for them in that state of mind is the hardest part of the journey. I was a true believer of forest lawn services, in my mind there was no other company that could provide the same care and kindness as forest lawn... was I wrong. When my father passed away we went to forest lawn to make the arrangements but the days, times and problems they gave us was way too much for a grieving family to handle. We got in contact with Monarch, spoke with Edgar and within 30 minutes he got the arrangements started. He came to our house later that day and patiently sat and answered all our questions. We had a LOT of special touches that we wanted to add to the funeral and burial services he either arranged it for us or he directed us to the people who handled it. For whatever questions I had anytime I called him he would pick up and patiently answered all of them. The day of the viewing as he had told us before " all we had to do was show up" he and his employees were God send, when speaking with family they approach you with a quiet voice, when you need something from him all you have to do is look his way and he will walk towards you, I didn't hear him and his employees speak a word to each other.( I think they only speak with eye contact) The day of the burial was the hardest day of my my moms and sisters life we would be laying our father/husband to rest that alone is enough for a person to lose themselves, again Edgar was there to give us water, napkins.
