Losing my mom was a very difficult experience of my life, and they made an incredibly painful time so much easier to bear. Every member (especially Rubyrose cause we spoke to her most of the time) of the staff was patient, caring, and genuinely concerned about making sure everything was handled perfectly. They guided me through every step, answered all of my questions, and made me feel supported from beginning to end. I highly recommend the Alpha Society for mortuary needs for your loved one. They were recommended by our hospice care team and they were wonderful. The team who came to take my father was very respectful and I really appreciated that after his passing. Their price was the most reasonable and the entire process was very smooth. We ended up having a hiccup when the police needed to arrange to have an autopsy done for my father (who was a victim of a violent crime), and Alpha Society handled everything for us with no issues whatsoever. I feel so fortunate to have met Erica, the owner. I will be forever grateful for the kindness, ease, and professionalism we were shown by her, and the rest of the employees at the Alpha Society. On the phone, in the office, as well as bedside, they made each step of the inherently upsetting process of my mom's passing + cremation easier. To illustrate the level of hand-holding Erica offered, I share this story, that is far less about an issue of money, and more about honoring something my dad had wanted to do for us: Before his death, my dad had purchased a relocation + cremation plan that was supposedly to financially cover the entirety of post-death services for my mom. I was told when I called the number on the card that because my mom no longer lived in the state in which the plan was signed (I'd moved her in with me when my dad passed a year prior), they wouldn't honor it. Upset and unsure if there was anything I could do, I turned to Erica, who read the policy, determined that there was indeed something I could do, called the plan hotline herself, and sent me detailed instructions about how to recoup the funds. I definitely made the right choice when I chose The Alpha Society to handle my husband's remains after he passed away. Erica and Sarah were both so caring and compassionate. The Alpha Society immediately stuck out as both the least expensive option and I was really wowed by how wonderful and caring Sarah was throughout the whole process. The passing of a loved one is an incredibly painful and difficult process, and the one thing you don't want to add on top of that is a super complex process related to their remains and a pushy funeral salesperson (*cough* National *cough*).
