I am incredibly grateful that I found and chose Allay Cremation to care for my mother. When my mother was in hospice and nearing the end of her life, I was navigating completely unfamiliar territory. Wanting to be prepared, I called Allay in advance so I wouldn't feel rushed or overwhelmed when the time came. From my very first conversation with Allay, I knew I had found the right place. Everyone I spoke with was compassionate, patient, and genuinely kind. They never treated our family like just another case--they always acknowledged our loss, expressed their sincere sympathy, and answered every question with care. Simply knowing what to expect brought an incredible sense of comfort during such an uncertain and emotional time. After my mother passed away, Allay arrived at our home very quickly (within about two hours) and handled her with the utmost dignity, gentleness, and respect. That meant more to our family than words can express. Josh was exceptional throughout the entire process. He kept me informed every step of the way, from the death certificate paperwork to the timeline for my mother's cremation. He also coordinated the delivery of her ashes, allowing us to choose a day and time that gave our family the opportunity to emotionally prepare and be together when she returned home. That thoughtfulness made an incredibly difficult moment much more peaceful. Losing a loved one is one of life's hardest experiences, but Allay Cremation removed so much of the stress and uncertainty from the process. Their professionalism, compassion, and attention to every detail allowed our family to focus on what truly mattered--honoring my mother and supporting one another. If you are searching for cremation services, let me first say how sorry I am that you are facing this loss. I wholeheartedly recommend Allay Cremation. They cared for my mother with dignity and treated our family with kindness and compassion every step of the way. I will always be grateful for the care they provided during one of the most difficult times of our lives. read more

When my mom passed in June, the Allay team was there sooner than expected and treated my mom and family with the utmost respect. They efficiently transported her to their vehicle so the process was smooth and quick. I was very grateful to Allay for their kindness and patience on the office side as well. They accommodated my requests and followed up with updates while waiting on the paperwork from the County. Excellent service and a great price. I definitely would recommend this company for anyone looking to avoid the trauma from pushy sales people one can sometimes run across in end of life arrangements and generic "package deals" that include things that you don't need or want and/or leave out important details you do want. Their pricing is transparent and their service is custom and caring. Five stars. read more

Josh G. @ Allay Cremations was with me and my family every step of the way--handling my son's recent death and cremation. Allay's services were everything I'd hope for--professional, efficient, and also caring and concerned. Having to fly from Pennsylvania to Los Angeles to make final arrangements while grieving the loss of my son was no easy task. Allay made it seamless, with most of the arrangements made online or by phone call. My son's ashes arrived the day after I flew back to Philly. if you are in need of cremation services, consider the team at Ally to guide you through the emotionally difficult process of dealing with the death of a cherished loved one. The family cannot express enough gratitude and appreciation for the cremation services by Cal Direct, handles every step of the way by Josh Gonzalez. My husband's daughter died very suddenly & tragically last month. Josh's enormous help, compassion and attention to detail is what got us through this ordeal. He is on top of everything, an excellent communicator and true care and concern cannot be expressed adequately. He is quick to respond ALWAYS, answers all calls & texts quickly and accommodated some last minute requests in the best possible way. I've personally not arranged a cremation before, and he walked me through every step of the way, from interacting with the coroner, all the way to obtaining the death certificate. Josh, from the Martinez family, thank for your superb work and we wish many blessings upon you and your family. read more

Losing my dad unexpectedly threw my family and I into a journey of deep grief we weren't ready for. My family looked to me to make all the plans and arrangements for my dad. Completely inexperienced in all of this, I was so anxious and had no clue where to go or what to do next. Then I found Allay Direct Cremation and so much of my worries and questions went away. Lawrence who is the owner of Allay was the one I was in direct contact with during this difficult time. I just cannot say enough wonderful things about him and Allay Cremation. Lawrence was so sympathetic, patient, and understanding. He took the time to explain the entire cremation process and what I needed to do on my end (which was almost to absolutely nothing). The pricing is direct and more than reasonable. I didn't feel pressured or rushed. Any questions I had about the forms I had to fill out, Lawrence answered them super promptly. I simply was met with so much kindness that this whole experience didn't feel one bit transactional. I felt he really cared. Just writing this review makes me a bit teary eyed actually because my experience with Allay Cremation is was one of the most peaceful and easiest things I experienced during the loss of my dad. For that, I am so thankful. I will recommend them and only them over and over again. You won't realize this until you've had to use their services, but the attention is in the details. You will see that WOW, they really designed this whole process with so much thought and care for US. Thank you again Allay Cremations team and Lawrence for being the guiding light I needed. You made what I thought was going to be an overwhelming experience, so incredibly easy. I hope to not need your services again soon, but Allay Direct Cremation will be my go cremation service from here on out. read more

I cannot say enough about how professional and caring this business was to my family. Lawrence took care of everything and kept us updated constantly. We were actually scammed by another company and he took over and solved everything for us, leaving us at peace after such an awful experience with Legacy. Thank you so much for your kindness and the delivery of the urn and paperwork involved was seamless and timely. read more

Never quite the place you want to leave a review for, but Allay made the process of cremating my sister as painless as it could have been. Josh was very sensitive to the situation and provided frequent updates so we knew exactly where we were in the process. Cost was more than reasonable. When my sisters cremains were ready, they were delivered with much care. read more

I concur with all the previous 5 star reviews- Allay is the best! Josh is a phenom. (And just like another user, I was previously scammed by Legacy but Josh/Allay took over and everything was taken care of). If you have found yourself at Allay, you are in the right spot. Thanks read more

When you need this type of service it's usually at a time when you're not in your best state of well being- it's an emotional time and Lawrence at Allay from start to finish was empathetic, kind, extremely helpful and available when needed. Was treated respectfully and professionally. Accommodated needs. Ordered certificates for us as well. Kept in contact and was informative throughout entire process. Fair pricing. Very pleased and would recommend. read more

Josh from Allay Cremation was the guy who helped me during this terrible time. He was so empathetic and professional. He went above and beyond to make sure the incompetent doctor signed the death certificate sooner than later. My father was treated with dignity in their care and I was always notified of where my father's body was from the moment of pickup to when he was sent off to a private autopsy and upon his return, Josh always informed me. I had never had to do this before and Josh was always one step ahead explaining all of the process. Josh just delivered the ashes to my residence. I'm grateful for him and Allay Cremations. It's very affordable, but that doesn't mean it's any less professional or lacking in dignity for one's loved one. I recommend Allay for anyone needing this service. Also, it's so extremely convenient to be able to sign forms online instead of having to print things out and mail or fax forms like the other company I checked out prior to going with Allay. I was also able to pay online. Everything was purposely made easy so to not burden the families of the diseased with unnecessary things. Again, I appreciate this company and Josh for all that they helped me with. read more

I cannot say enough great things. They made one of the most difficult times in my life a lot easier. From the moment I had to make the unfortunate phone call I was treated with kindness and compassion. It was recommended by hospice to call in advance of my dad's passing to have it prearranged. I did take the advice. On the eve of his passing, I was able to arrange a pick up time that suited my family. They were on time and treated my father with dignity. Even laid an American flag over him as he was an American Veteran. I was kept in the loop of the entire process from start to finish. Josh our consultant answered any question I had. He was very knowledgeable and his quote is what we paid. No hidden costs or fees. I cannot recommend them enough! read more

While the passing of a loved one is always a difficult time, Allay Cremation helped make our arrangements for our dad very simple and straightforward and thus added zero stress to the whole experience. We began seeking direct cremation services about a month before Dad passed, since we were told by hospice that he could go at any time. I was encouraged by all the 5 star reviews for Allay, as well as the reasonable price and straightforward procedure. I was able to fill out all the information (without having to pay ahead of time) in those first difficult days, electronically sign the forms, and then have the comfort of knowing that everything was set up for when Dad's time came. We were able to view many choices of beautiful urns for Dad's ashes, and chose a nice wooden one that fit his personality and faith. When the day came, Allay and the hospice team were in touch, and the family could focus on time together and saying goodbye to Dad without having to make numerous phone calls. The gentlemen from Allay who came to pick Dad up were extremely respectful and allowed us those last moments to say goodbye, before draping a flag over Dad (he was a veteran) and taking him into their care. Over the next few days, Josh (and sometimes Lawrence) were in touch regularly. Nearly every day I received an email or a phone call from Josh clarifying information from me and/or letting me know where they were in the process of information for the death certificates, medical information, cremation schedule, etc. So we were never left wondering what was going on. Repeatedly, they expressed their condolences, and we as a family felt very cared for. When Dad's ashes were ready, they let us know ahead of time and offered multiple options for receiving them and the death certificates we had ordered. We so appreciated the professionalism, care, concern, communication, and respect our family received from Allay and their team, and I would recommend them to anyone seeking a direct cremation option for their loved one. read more

I am so glad that we went with Lawrence at Allay Direct Cremation. It's hard to describe everything he has done for us, but it was simply ABOVE and BEYOND what I think any other cremation business would have done. Lawrence is incredibly compassionate, understanding, and super competent at what he does. Our case ended up requiring a few more steps and a bit more attention due to some hospital release issues and unclear cause of death requiring a trip to the coroner's office, plus some religious procedures. Lawrence kept me updated pretty much every single day with emails or text messages, I knew what was happening the entire time. He would even update me when there was no update, just so I could have peace of mind. All his advise was spot on about the coroner's turnaround time, etc...he seems to know all the ins and outs of this business. I also loved how all of their forms were done via some kind of electronic signature service vs. having to print/scan/fax, that was a nice touch that made everything easier. I also liked how they were no surprise extra charges, even when I tried to possibly upgrade the urn to wood or metal, he honestly advised how it might not be the best idea when traveling through TSA or air and how the standard plastic urn might be more durable and less questionable. Talk about doing what's right for people, he did this at every step of the entire process. Without a single doubt, I am certain that we picked the right person for this difficult and delicate task. Truly an outstanding human being that deserves recognition. read more

Lawrence Suarez and the staff at Allay were extremely professional during a difficult time of my mother's passing. He made the process easy, he answered all the unanswered questions that I had. And didn't take advantage of the financial situation, unlike the other interment services that I called. Even during Covid, Lawrence stated that shipping was included whereas others separated their shipping cost. I would definitely recommend Allay to others who may need their services. and for management of Allay, your staff deserves high praises/raises for their excellent service and hard work! My father passed, and I was told that due to the pandemic most mortuaries had delays of many weeks. I was referred to Allay by a very reputable Pasadena mortuary, in hopes they could help sooner. I was so glad I called them. From the moment I spoke with Lawrence, it was just easy. He explained the process, he explained any delays due to covid, and he kept in touch with me along the way to let me know what was happening and when. You don't think of these things- like when transport will happen, and when cremation will happen, but it mattered. Lawrence is gifted at helping people, and he does so with the utmost of care, understanding and patience. Lawrence answered every single question I had and did so very quickly. Lawrence was (is) wonderful. My lifes love died two months ago. I was (as you reading this may be) enveloped in a pain so dark, so heavy and burdensome, a pain as such i did not know existed or was even possible in this world. My heart was shattered and i felt i did not have the strength to wipe away yet another tear let alone make "arrangements" for my lost loves soulless shelter. The shelter he so sweetly offered me, shared, gave to me for 19 years. The shelter that intwined its legs with mine at night & cradled me in the crook of his arm in the day. The shelter that carefully made me a home, carried me over its threshold. made me feel safe. made me whole. Cared for our pets. Kissed away my tears.were Losing him was never going to happen to me, yet here i was reaching out to numerous local crematoriums. His mother was up north but was with me in every way, in fact she was leading our way. I saw that her pain and loss was a great open a wound just as mine. She felt as broken as i, likely moreso as she also carried a mothers loss. An emptiness in her womb where a part of her physical self, her mind and body, had lived & was lost. Over two decades his mothers strength had been displayed to me & was something to admire. Yet again here i was needing her strength even as she was at her Weakest! And here she was helping me find my own h bum read more

By the time I got to this company I was loaded for battle and righteously indignant about funeral services in general. It wasn't so much the cost, but the lack of information that I was getting. I tried a half dozen services from the most to the least and just could not get a full straight answer out of any of them. I was getting half-truths, non-truths and deceptive treatment or no treatment at all. I am thankful this was only my best friend and shooting partner of many years. If it were a parent , I would have probably submitted to the exploitation I was running into and paid the freight they wanted o extract. I should probably apologize to Allay for coming on sop strong! Allay was half the price and double the service of anyone I had spoken to . I you need a pacemaker taken out, it's a hundred bucks rather than $250. If the body is over 300 pounds you pay an extra fee. Its all there on the website right in front of you almost unbeleivably transparent. When my old buddy passed from this vale of tears, they were at the place to secure the body within an hour. They kept me informed along the way and could not have been a more than a caring company. They didn't make anything happier, but they sure made it easier. It was a blessing and relief to have happened across them. I recommend them not only for the fair pricing and the excellent, attentive service, but for not trying to exploit in a trying time. read more
