I don't wish this dreadful day on no one, but when you have the best and right team, it will make things a little bit easier for you and your loved ones. My family was very upset about the quick passing of my father. In these times a persons mind can be all over the place because there is so much that goes into planning a funeral. My brother and I happened to find Glendale Hye Funeral, and we were so blessed that we did. Once we walked in, we were greeted by Krikor, who assisted us. He was very caring, helpful, and professional while making us very comfortable. These people are well known to my family, and I would highly recommend them because of the level of care we received. The other staff did an excellent job as well, very helpful & Courteous. We had a good experience with your service. I and my family felt you did an excellent job making my father look as normal as possible. Glendale Hye Funeral offers services from start to finish, and you can concentrate on being with loved ones. We also ordered the headstone from them, and it was ready within 3 months. Not 9 to 11 months that forest law gives you. Krikor your the best in what you do from the bottom of my heart thank you sir.

They have my dad's body, only since Tuesday, I am currently hospitalized. They told us that if they didn't hear from us they would "drop his body off at my house at 1pm" That is EXTREMELY illegal and wrong on every level, also told me they would be charging me $50 per day for storage until I pay them, IM IN THE HOSPITAL RIGHT NOW! they don't care about families or their loved ones, only profit. In the process of finding a lawyer now. Save yourself the stress and heartache, go elsewhere.

After the pickup we were told that a representative would reach out to us the following day so we could start making arrangements. They didn't call till 3 days later even after leaving them multiple messages! Imagine not knowing what's happening to your loved one or where they are located after they died. Our assigned rep only called AFTER I switched to Anubis Cremations and had arrangements for the body to be brought to their facilities. Wesleigh was so easy to work with. She picked up my call right away and took care of everything. She communicated every step of the way. I told her that my uncle who is a priest will be arriving in 2 weeks and we would like for the cremation and memorial service to happen while he was here. She mentioned that it's a very tight schedule but she would try to make it happen. And she 100% delivered!!! Within an hour of my initial call she had my auntie's body arranged for pickup, she sent paperwork to us and the doctor so she could start the process of filing the death certificate. The church where we wanted the memorial service wouldn't let us reserve a time till they had a cremation date. We were able to get the cremation date within a few days. We opted for a private open viewing at the crematory in Van Nuys. The crematory only does night time viewing which worked well for us since our family is busy working during the day. Wesleigh's coworker Jonathan took great care of us at the viewing. The place had a room for up to 15 people where family members could sit with the casket prior to the cremation. They dressed our auntie in her formal barong and jewelry. We were allowed to provide flowers, letters, and mementoes in the cardboard casket. Jonathan gave us sharpies so we could write notes on the casket. There were aslo tissues and an easel for our use. Although the viewing was technically 15 minutes, we were not rushed and were given about 20-25 minutes to do a prayer service and say our goodbyes. And then Jonathan and another employee wheeled her into the crematory. We watched them place her casket in the "oven" and once the door closed we left. They even allowed us to live stream the entire time we were there to our auntie's relatives back in the Philippines. The following day Wesleigh delivered the ashes to the church and she provided the letters and instructions we needed to bring the ashes back to the Philippines. We were also very happy with the urn we ordered from Anubis. It was engraved and had a photo of our auntie. It was perfect. I can't thank Wesleigh and Jonathan enough for providing an outstanding service that was stress-free, efficient, compassionate, and super professional during this difficult time of grief. I whole-heartedly recommend Annubis.

I want to thank Forest Lawn for their kindness and empathy as we said our final words to my grandfather before he was to be cremated. They gave us an adequate amount of time and offered condolences. The next day, for his celebration of life, we were able to host and hold a day of respect, prayers, and love thanks to this venue. The interior was beautiful and the flower package my mom and her siblings got for their dad was gorgeous to look at. Special shoutout to Diana and Sonia for their communication and information as they helped ease concerns in the whole planning process. The staff during set-up time was also very friendly and assisted in anything we needed. I want to thank Forest Lawn deeply from the bottom of my heart for my family.

We also had a graveside service and all was set up for us when we got there. The staff is very nice. The place itself is just lovely and it is well maintained and they don't just let the grass die, like Inglewood Cemetery does. They have a chapel for services and viewings if you want. We did not do that. They also sell everything you might need for any type of funeral. The have lovely mausoleum space and it is kept spotless. Despite the fact that Dignity is owned by a massive, profit-oriented, multi-billion dollar corporation - the largest provider of funeral services in the U.S. - both these gracious and exemplary employees were empathetic and easy to work with during this devastatingly grief-stricken time. The distinguished Mr. Martin, who arranged the funeral, was a source of grace, class, and comfort for my sister and I, and he carried out our beloved Mother's service last week with knowledge, experience, and refinement. The viewing at the quaint and beautiful Chapel with colorful stained-glass windows was artistically-inspired with her large portrait and a grand display of flowers, and our dear Mother was immaculately dressed and groomed, and looked as if she were asleep. We had arranged for a dove release at the service, and he encouraged my sister and I to each hold then release a dove before releasing the entire flock. The benevolent and soft-spoken Ms. Margaret took the time to show us around the park for possible resting places for Mom, and her gentle disposition and kindness made this process a little less taxing. Our Father was interred here over a decade ago, which brought attention and interest from our relatives and friends to this memorial park; our uncle and aunt were then interred here as well. We're most grateful to Mr. Martin and Ms. Margaret for their compassion and professionalism during the most heartbreaking and tragic time of our lives.

I wasn't part of any of the planning whatsoever and just an attendee, so I am only speaking from my experience then. I was able to make it to my grandfather's cremation. Staff was polite and sympathetic enough. We had to use the restroom and facilities were clean. At the crematorium our grandfather was in a paper casket on the other side of the "window". We had a Buddhist ceremony before his cremation with some local temple monks facilitating it. They brought their own offerings and set up for the ceremony. There is a couch and some rugs in that lobby area, but not enough for our large family. Wish I knew this ahead of time, since a lot of us had to kneel and pray on the hard tile floor. As for my uncle's cremation, I missed that completely! I don't know if it was weird lost in translation thing that happened with the family members that planned it, but I had to initially take work off on a Thursday and then when the time came, was told that this facility couldn't get some kind of health department's signature so they couldn't do it. I'm assuming not for the entire facility itself since that would delay WAY too much but for maybe my uncle in general? And then it was last minute pushed to Monday and I had to miss it completely. Sucks, but again, I don't know if it was my family that had a hand in this or the business itself. I live near giga cemeteries and funeral homes like Rose Hills and I'm not from this area, so I can't gauge what better options there may be.
