I've been to Monaco restaurant. The food is good, however, when I looked online one item I was especially interested to order was the Osso Buco, however it was not on the menu. So, I called today (6/3/2026) at around 5:45pm, and I spoke with a gentleman (thought his name started with the letter L) and asked if the restaurant served Osso Buco, he told me no, but did say their sister restaurant Lamberti's has lamb osso buco. I told him that the online menu still shows Osso Buco and perhaps they should remove it from their online menu if not selling it. He was short with me and said, 'well, I can't do it right this minute'. I wasn't asking him to remove it right this minute...he sounded upset of me just asking the question. Wonder how the rest of the service is at this place if a person answering is so short, and acts like they can't be bothered. I went to this place over a month ago, and it's still on their website, but not on the menu inside the restaurant. Wonder how the owners would feel should they get such feedback - as to why the menu isn't updated. read more

My dear friend picked this beautiful little spot in Irving for his birthday brunch and I'm super happy he did. Apparently this is a sister restaurant to Lamberti's and owned by an amazing Italian family. Which means, this place is authentic!! We were greeted right away by the manager and the bartender. Sat at the bar to await more of our party, and noticed that they have a Happy Hour from 11-6 pm EVERYDAY. Say whutttt?! You know I'm down to have a cocktail at 11in the morning, it's brunch after all. The old fashioned was very tasty, I'm a bourbon gal so maybe a higher proof bourbon would bring it up a notch, but can't beat it regardless!! One of the nicest managers I've ever had the pleasure of meeting, Heather, heard it was my friend's birthday and got us a round of the Cocchi (I probably butchered that) and I never would have tried that by myself but so glad I got to. Rosè I believe it was and it was fantastic, bitter and sweet, robust and went well with the steak tartare. Oh yea, lemme get to the food part. Our table participated in a burratta app, steak tartare app, shakshuka, steak and eggs with bone marrow butter, Italian steak sub, butcher pizza, and the spicy Calabrian pizza, then ended it with beignets and some sweet caramel sauce. Even baby got his own little bowl of butter pasta! It was hard to have any sort of conversation because we were all stuffing our faces and everything was spectacular!! There are so many things I want to go back and try, now that I know what I'm getting into. And look y'all, I'm as frugal as they come and the prices matched the food perfectly. We met friends out for a light meal. I ordered the burger and fries. The burger I ordered medium rare; however, it came out extra well done. It was extremely salty and the fries were cold. My wife ordered some type of soup that was supposed to have sausage in it, but there wasn't any sausage in the bowl. She did enjoy the broth, it was tasty. The pizza was just ok, nothing memorable about it. The monte Cristo was average. Nevertheless, I'll give it another try. The food we ordered was a bit pedestrian. The service and the ambiance were great but the food was terrible. Like really really bad. I don't enjoy writing a review like this but it has to be said. We ordered the Fritto Misto which usually has calamari in it but you have to pay extra here which was surprising. It was also realllly salty! I could only eat 1 or 2 before it was too much. For dinner my friend ordered the margherita pizza. It was the only dish that was ok. Plus that's hard to mess up anyways. I ordered the mushroom risotto and it was just bland. I've never had peas in my risotto and I had added shrimp which was completely flavorless. It was like they cut the shrimp dropped it on the grill and served. No salt, no flavor no nothing. My other friend had the petite frites which was also not good. It was too meaty. We both said it felt like we took a raw bite out of a cow. We hoped dessert would be redeeming and got the beignets. These were also meh. The icing wasn't even good and tasted like it had oil in it. Overall a terrible food experience. It's the perfect example of the food looks good but tastes horrible. We were greeted warmly and seated immediately in a large booth. That was nice. It was a nice comfortable space and the decor made you feel welcome. We looked over the menu and while we weren't planning on Italian night, that's where we ended up. We started with the meatball appetizer. If you go here, I cannot recommend this enough! The meatballs were beef and veal and so flavorful! They were also light as far as density goes. Which is how it needs to be! Nobody likes a heavy, dense meatball. The Pomodoro sauce these bathed in was one of the best we have ever had. And we went to Italy last year! I want jars of this sauce. I would have it five or six days a week. It is just that great! My wife then stole what I was going to order, the bolognese with the wide noodles. My goodness that was awesome. Of course I had to try it. I ordered The Butcher pizza. An ample sized pie with prosciutto, lardo (sausage) and bacon. Simply a great pie. Service was spot on, and the staff genuinely seemed to make sure this is a place to have a great meal. We each enjoyed a cocktail and then were interested in sharing one of their double burgers! One of the best, juiciest burgers in town. Special on the menu sounded wonderful, lobster fettuccine. However, the burger won our vote this time. Service was great, food was great. A very pleasant lunch. They were able to fit our large party in last minute for Mother's Day! The manager and staff were extremely accommodating. The menu has everything you could want. The white wine mussels were divine. We were offered inside seating or the patio. We opted for inside but the ambiance was great in both. We had a great server, Emily who was knowledgeable friendly and courteous. Beverages were really good (frozen Paloma), and ok (Aperol Spritz was a bit too heavy on the Aperol). Started off with a little steak tartare then moved on to the petit frites then moved on to a little dessert with a dish of chocolate and cheese. Everything here was beyond words. This is a hidden gem... total surprise for our unplanned evening out. Wine list is reasonably priced and very interesting. We started with the chick pea fries and they did not disappoint. Crispy, delicious! We shared the Beet Carpaccio Salad.... It was a terrific blend of earthiness, sweet and acid. My main entree was the shrimp and polenta... my husband's was the Creamy Calabrian pasta. In both dishes the shrimp was beautifully butterflied. The flavors were complex, intriguing and satisfying. For dessert we shared the espresso crème brûlée. It was cooked very nicely with the crunchy caramelized top which has unfortunately been missed recently at other restaurants, coupled with a tasty custard and an espresso finish. Monaco is the BEST meal we've had in a while (and we just came back a week ago from eating at some nice restaurants on the Las Vegas strip) - maybe top 5 this year. And they just opened a week ago, right by the canals in Las Colinas. The service was impeccable - from our server Casandra who was attentive and friendly throughout our meal, to the GM Frank who recommended a killer Napa Cab rather than up-selling us on an Italian wine we were also looking at, to one of the co-owners Johnny who came by to tell us the story behind each of our courses and asked for feedback on what they could do to make the restaurant even better (answer: not much, as Monaco is already outstanding). All of the appetizers and salads look great on paper but we ordered 2 that were unique and delicious. Johnny mentioned to us that the Coastal Fish Dip and the Crispy Chicken Livers were both 'signature dishes'. The dip includes a nice blended fish under crème fraiche and a dab of caviar, and it comes w crackers that pack a nice spicy kick. Eaten together, each bite is a fantastic medley of contrasting flavors and textures. A steal at $10. The chicken livers were also a favorite. Look at the photo I posted and yes, the serving size is really that generous. The livers are so addictive - crunchy and savory w a wonderful gastrique to add some acidity to every bite. At $9, this app is also a steal. We loved the steak frites - the bavette is perfectly cooked and when eaten w the bone marrow butter is absolutely decadent. Some of the butter will drip through and infuse the fries and omg we honestly needed more butter just to dip stuff in! And the Moroccan beef cheek is like a super-upscale barbacoa (and I mean that as a compliment). Monaco is fine dining in a very nice but casual space. The mains run between $22-34 (the steak and beef cheeks were $28/29) and let me tell you - it's worth it! Comparable dishes in Dallas or elsewhere will run up to $10 more and would not measure up to this place. Oh and the Chocolate and Cheese dessert was a great sweet and savory combination that worked much better than we thought it would. Monaco totally exceeded our expectations. We will definitely be back and you should make a reservation to eat here ASAP!!! read more

Soo I picked this place for a family dinner as the interior looked very nice as well as for the surrounding area of the restaurant. Starting with the positives - I LOVED the ambiance inside the restaurant. I do think it's better for a more intimate group though, it felt crowded with my party of 8 inside. The staff was also incredibly kind to us. That being said, I thought the food was just ok. My boyfriend and I split a a pasta dish and to be honest I was expecting more based off pictures we saw online based on the price. The flavor was really unique and the pasta is freshly made I think but I didn't really think it made up for the portions. I also had a bite of a burger from their happy hour; I didn't think it was anything memorable. I think maybe one of the better deals at this place would be splitting 2-3 pizzas depending on your group. I was a fan of the Calabrian pizza. That being said, there's only 4 pizza options so if you're specifically craving it, I'd go elsewhere. read more

My goodness, Monaco really exceeded our expectations. We went for a late afternoon lunch to celebrate my mother's birthday. The ambiance is nice and classy without being pretentious or intimidating. Exceptional music choices. I feel like a bit of an ass for not remembering our waiter's name, but he was pretty much perfect, super patient and helpful with my elderly parents. We enjoyed everything we ate, from the arancini appetizer and wedge salad to the strip steak, homemade pasta, and fancy grilled cheese. The couple of cocktails I had were delicious, and they have a pretty good happy hour. They comped one of our desserts for my mom's birthday, which is always appreciated, and the cheesecake was so good that my mom got an extra one to take home. The food tasted good while I would rate the service at par. I take partial blame for not checking my bill which had an extra item charged.
