Neither the food nor the service was good. The Lamb Shish was a few skewers of several small cubes of lamb meat on each. My hunger was far from satisfied. The best thing on the plate was the Turkish bread. At the beginning, not one but two waiters, one followed immediately by the other, asked if I was ready to order. So glad we noted "Selda Restaurant " as we exited Mi Cocina right next to it... we took their menu and checked it out the first time... It's a Turkish restaurant with a really nice ambiance and a front patio. Twice now we've dined at Selda Restaurant and it has been terrific!! In love with their fresh Branzino fish dinner and the Chicken Shish-kabab! Salads are uber-fresh ! We tried the 'Yaghout' ( spelling??) Turkish red wine and it's a must try! Came here to celebrate my friends birthday. It was nicely decorated and a nice atmosphere. The service was great as they provided suggestions and answered questions about the menu. They offered complementary bread and labneh to start. We ordered the stuffed dates and the cheese rolls which were delicious. For the main course i had the iskender kebab which tasted very close to when i tried it in Turkey while my friend had the chicken kebabs. They gave us complementary baklava for dessert. There are multiple Selda locations in DFW, and this review is for their new location in Irving. My Overall Rating - 4 Stars (Atmosphere, Service, Food, Return) Atmosphere - Valentine's Day led me to this spot, and the dim lighting and Valentine's Day decour set the mood. There is a long bar on the right, plenty of tables and booths, and many couples on date night. 1 Star. Service - Our server was very friendly and helpful with the menu. I asked what I should try, and he gave me several options. Given it was a busy night due to the holidays, service was a little slow, especially when we were ready to pay our bill, but this probably isn't the norm. 1/2 Star. Food - We started with the hummus and beet salad. The hummus was probably some of the best I've ever had (my opinion). It was served with a fresh, hot pita bread that was as fun to break apart as it was to eat. The beets were fresh and refreshing (don't wear white if you order it). For my main, I went with the Beyti Special (shout out to my server for recommending it). The seasoned ground beef was wrapped in flat bread, topped with pickled red onions, and served with a side of rice and bean salad. When I took a bite of the Beyti Special (sans the overly strong red onions) it delivered a perfect Mediterranean bite. It reminded me of an enchilada with Mediterranean flavors. 1 1/2 Stars. Picked up a to-go order. Order was ready on time. Chicken shish looked and tasted good. The hummus looked and tasted fresh, but the bread that came with it was dry, over-baked, and inedible. The chef should have thrown that bread away and baked some fresh bread. read more

Food - Great Happy Hour Drinks - Great Service - Great Atmosphere - Great Charging 4% more than the prices on your menu for every item - Not Great Fix that one major flaw and we'll be back. If that's a credit card fee 1) it should be listed as a line item on the receipt, 2) it should be clearly stated on both the online menu and printed menus that prices are cash prices rather than the payment method used most often (credit card), and 3) a 4% fee, that then becomes even more after you tax and tip the 4%, is the highest credit card fee I've ever encountered. Was craving Mediterranean food and found them on instagram. Saw that they just opened this new place closer to where I live so I decided to try them out. The space is warming decorated with crystal chandelier dripping from the ceiling. The seating is cushy velvet and up right. The bar looks to be fully stocked. The food was absolutely delicious!! The pide was warm and cheesy, the salad was crisp, and the hummus was smooth and well seasoned. I didn't get photos of the entrées but we had the lamb chops and chicken shish kebabs. We went there for lunch today and loved everything about it! The service was impeccable, the food was outstanding and it is a super cute place! My daughter had the lamb chops and said they were some of the best she's ever had. I had the chicken shish and husband had the beef one. Both were excellent! The beet salad was sooo good and we had hummus and eggplant salad too. All excellent! The owner sent over some Baklahva and it was great. Food and service was good, the only issue was that of the 20% service charge that was added to my bill for a party of 4 on a Sunday. This was not mentioned in the menu or conveyed by the personnel beforehand and my server explanation was there was no tip collection on Sunday hence the service charge. Very good food. Good value. They have dishes one can choose from with whatever food allergy or diet you are on. Exceptional service, we were not rushed. Ok we felt we over stayed but they did not kick us out. You should see their restroom. They thought of everything possible you might need ladies. You might think you are at the Four Season's hotel or Aman (ok a little exaggeration but for a restaurant never seen something like this well thought of). Ambiance good. No overwhelming noise nor perfumery. Yes we will be back and will check other location near us.
