Selda Mediterranean Bar & Grill is a Mediterranean restaurant in Irving-Las Colinas (closer to Valley Ranch that serves authentic Mediterrnanean food. There are multiple Selda locations in DFW, and this review is for their new location in Irving. My Overall Rating - 4 Stars (Atmosphere, Service, Food, Return) Atmosphere - Valentine's Day led me to this spot, and the dim lighting and Valentine's Day decour set the mood. There is a long bar on the right, plenty of tables and booths, and many couples on date night. 1 Star. Service - Our server was very friendly and helpful with the menu. I asked what I should try, and he gave me several options. Given it was a busy night due to the holidays, service was a little slow, especially when we were ready to pay our bill, but this probably isn't the norm. 1/2 Star. Food - We started with the hummus and beet salad. The hummus was probably some of the best I've ever had (my opinion). It was served with a fresh, hot pita bread that was as fun to break apart as it was to eat. The beets were fresh and refreshing (don't wear white if you order it). For my main, I went with the Beyti Special (shout out to my server for recommending it). The seasoned ground beef was wrapped in flat bread, topped with pickled red onions, and served with a side of rice and bean salad. When I took a bite of the Beyti Special (sans the overly strong red onions) it delivered a perfect Mediterranean bite. It reminded me of an enchilada with Mediterranean flavors. 1 1/2 Stars. Will I Return? - Yes. Welcome, Selda, to the neighborood. There are many Selda locations in North Texas, so I super excited this location has opened close to home. Yes, I will be back. 1 Star.

Was craving Mediterranean food and found them on instagram. Saw that they just opened this new place closer to where I live so I decided to try them out. The space is warming decorated with crystal chandelier dripping from the ceiling. The seating is cushy velvet and up right. The bar looks to be fully stocked. The food was absolutely delicious!! We even ordered a few items off menu- service was great and ended with a smile. Very glad we tried this place. Oh! And the bill was rather reasonable considering how much we ate!! Definitely try

New gem in Las Colinas! The service was great and everyone was friendly and attentive. We ordered the cheese pide, shepherd salad, and hummus and everything was fresh and flavorful. The pide was warm and cheesy, the salad was crisp, and the hummus was smooth and well seasoned. I didn't get photos of the entrées but we had the lamb chops and chicken shish kebabs. Both were perfectly cooked and very tender. We also tried the baklava and it was fresh, flaky, and not too sweet. Definitely a place worth checking out.

At the same time, my alcohol tolerance is horrible and I just would not have been able to handle any wine or other drink with alcohol. Thus, I could not enjoy the specialties of this establishment. Instead, I got the chicken pesto sandwich. Although quite unassuming, the sandwich was incredibly delicious. The ciabatta bread offered just the right amount of toast and texture to hold everything. There was a sizeable chicken breast. Not dry but also not too flavorful by itself but that's okay. The pesto really delivered on the flavor with a savory, nutty, and slightly herbal flavor. In the future, I'd love to try a one of their many drinks - non-alcoholic and alcoholic included!

To name a few there's creme brulee, charcoal honey, ube, pandan...along with all the regular flavors. The pastries are good, they are average, which is still a good thing. Ham & cheese came out flaky. :) Presentation is beautiful. Sometimes I'll go there midday & there's not alot to choose from so it will prevent me from getting a snack. Charcuterie & wine is available but I haven't ordered any of those. A fun atmosphere, along the wall are built in seats with chairs on the opposite end of the table. Other seating includes table with benches (beware you can't move the benches to get in & out, if I'm wrong I apologize), then some a few tables with chairs by the windows, on the other side they do have benches facing each other with tables in between (great for groups!), & beautiful outdoor patio seating. They have a small upstairs with chairs & use wine barrels as tables. Clever! Customer service is okay, let me say that every person there has been extremely pleasant but out of the four times I've been there, only once I didn't have an issue. They seem to enough their jobs & working together, which is a green flag for any place, but sometimes they get distracted. One time I stood there & staff was chatting in the corner, a good amount of time passed before anyone noticed me. Another time, they just forgot my drink (it was the only thing in my order) & there were no other order left... the group was again chatting away with with each other, then during another visit they forgot my croissant. Each time they did apologize, but three out of four times aren't good odds. I probably won't frequent this location as much, but I will stop by once in awhile because their drinks are worth it.
