My husband and I are extremely happy with the work completed by Monaco in La Quinta, CA. We had absolutely no problems from beginning to end! Tony, the owner, and Aaron spent several hours taking me around to other properties and to showrooms to help me make the best decision for our property. Everything promised in the contract, and more, were provided. The team started on Tuesday and were done by Friday. I never had to ask the crew to clean up at the end of each day. They were extremely courteous and professional, and they worked hard the entire day. I was especially impressed with Tony and Aaron checking on the progress daily. We never had to micromanage the project; in fact, we had no problems, no issues! The daily interaction with Tony, Aaron, and the crew provided an open line of communication where they were striving to provide us with a beautiful finished product that we would be happy with AND WE ARE. Their quality workmanship shows--the outside of our home looks beautiful with pavers and our property wasn't damaged. We are so happy with our experience that we will be hiring Monaco for our back patio and decking. Our project was not an easy job for Monaco to take over. We originally hired another company in town to provide overlay in our front and back areas. We had seven weeks of living in a nightmare, only to be left with our driveway, walkways, back decking and property severely damaged. With that said, my husband and I couldn't be happier on how Monaco came in to this project and turned a nightmare into a celebration. We are completely satisfied. Without any reservation, we highly recommend Monaco. read more

Our home had several thousand square feet of concrete coatings and decorative design work done by Monaco the first their work was passable but after three years the clear coat started to be peeled off. So, call them back for a review and they suggested that we should do restoration for all the surfaces. At that time felt that was reasonable, so I had them proceed with work, But after 1 year the clear coat started to peel which was still under warranty, I called 12 times in four months and got the run around. When I did get the owner Ray out, he blames the aerator, the water level pool was too high, and it was calcium build up. He only wanted to repair three locations that were bubbling up and not the clear coat. That work took five phone calls and six weeks to perform that work. read more

Our home in Rancho Mirage I had several thousand square feet of concrete coatings and decorative design work done by Monaco. After 3 years the coatings were cracking peeling spotting and bubbling. I contacted Monaco and thru a laborious process of appointments missed and rescheduled. They came out to look at the concrete work they did. Long story short they said none of this is covered under warranty. They offered to repair it for over $10,000. I've been asking them for a year now. What exactly does the warranty cover? I get zero response and no return phone call. I suggest you save your money and run from this company. There are more honest providers in the valley. read more

Monaco did a beautiful job grinding off an existing overlay on our driveway, and replacing it. They also did our walkway and patio in the back yard. The workmanship was outstanding, and we have received many compliments over the years. We also recommended the company to many living in our community. We were told that the warranty on the work was for five years, but if we had them reseal it, it would be under warranty for five more years. I have been trying for over a month to schedule the work. Someone did come out and stated that he would email us an estimate, which never happened. I wanted a few weeks, and called back. The person I spoke to said that a technician would call. No one has yet to get in touch with us. The reviews that I have read seem to imply that the company is no longer reliable, and the workmanship is shoddy. We will be hiring another company to seal the concrete. read more

Tony and the team at Monaco truly delivered as promised. I've had my pool for one year now. They enjoyed their job. That said, they did a great job. The owner of his site manager was there every day to assure the entire project was going as designed. Tony, the owner, said it would be completed in one month and it was. The pool has been perfect and looks just like the day it was completed. Lastly, if I had any concerns following completion he was right there to address my concerns. Great company! read more

Monaco Concepts resurfaced the driveway and pool area at our home; along with this project came a lifetime warranty on the resurfacing. Shortly after the first year, the applied surface began separating and "bubbling up" from the concrete beneath. Monaco came out to make the repairs and told us that we had to spend $4850 to re-seal the surface to validate the warranty going forward??? which we did (bad choice). A year later there were additional "bubbles", which Monaco repaired, within 4 months the same repairs began "bubbling" again; this is when Tony the owner got involved and refused to make the repairs; although we had a LIFETIME warranty in hand. Tony stated that the individual that issued the extended warranty (not sure why you would need to extend a lifetime warranty) wasn't authorized to do so; even though the project came with a LIFETIME warranty , and we foolishly spent the requested $4850 to validate it. Tony would become extremely rude and argumentative throughout our conversations and in the end refused to honor Monaco's warranty....Tony's Motto says "Let my work speak for itself"...Monaco (Tony) should be absolutely embarrassed by the horrible quality work that it does and its refusal to stand behind its work and honor its warranty....I would run as fast as I can from this absolutely horrible company. If I could give ZERO stars, I would. read more

I can't say enough about Tony and Monaco Concepts. I talked to so many pool companies before going with Tony and Monaco Concepts. From the initial consultation, Tony impressed me with his excellent communication, personable demeanor, dependability and promptness. Tony was able to make our dream pool come true and he left me with no doubts about the quality of his work. Plus his price was extremely competitive. Highly recommend. read more

We had, what we thought, was a good working relationship with this company. They completed approx. 3,000 sq. ft of work on our concrete and we were very satisfied until we started to have problems with the sealant peeling. It took over 9 months of attempts to contact the owner, Tony, via phone, text and e-mail, to address a problem with the peeling top coat. It wasn't until we posted Yelp review, that we finally had our problem addressed and remedied. We are now attempting to have the balance of the project completed, but phones aren't answered and texts not returned. We are not sure if Monaco is still in business. We are now attempting to contract with another company to try and repair our driveway, even though we still have years left of warranty remaining with Monaco. I guess a warranty is only as good as the company that stands behind it. read more

We recently had our patio and driveway/sidewalk resurfaced by Monaco Concepts. It turned out fantastic! From start to finish, this project was well managed. We were kept informed as to the entire process and timing. The gentlemen who did the work were always on time, very skilled, (artists, really) and extremely respectful of us. Aaron the general manager was always checking in with his team and us. The owner, Tony, even stopped by to ensure that we were happy. We could not be happier with the result. Numerous people in our community have stopped by to comment on it and ask for a business card. We highly recommend Monaco for your outdoor needs! read more

I had an appointment this morning with this Monaco company, here at my Rancho Mirage home. The appt was for 8:30 AM. I even cancelled an eye examine, which I had waited for previously for 30 days, (and now pushed that into May) just to meet with this company! No show at 8:30, so I called at 9:05AM, spoke to a lady, and it is now 10:45 AM and still, no call. I will not do business with a company like this. I can just imagine the work ethic! I do not like it when someone believes their time is more important than yours! Good luck! read more

I bought a home that had a stained, cracked and a just plain awful rear patio. I looked for ways to hide what was there or to repair or replace the concrete decking and realized that resurfacing the concrete was the most effective way to fix what was so ugly. I had read good and the bad reviews online for a number of companies and was worried that I'd end up experiencing what some of the negative comments described, so I kept stalling. Finally I had had enough, interviewed two companies and selected Monaco Concepts. They turned out to be simply fabulous! The General Manager, Aaron Weaver told me what it would cost, what they would do, how they would do it, how long it would take and what they could not do . . . and lo and behold, that is exactly what happened. The men working each segment of the process were hard working, courteous, respectful and each and every day cleaned up after themselves . . . what a concept! The office staff kept me updated and were always available if I had questions. When they were done, we put my patio furniture back in place, I turned to take it all in and found that I had what looked to be a brand new outdoor entertainment space that was simply spectacular . . . so much better than I ever expected. The only thing I regret is waiting so long to get this done. read more

My drive, sidewalk and patio are absolutely beautiful. They weren't the lowest price but their work is the best. These people are artists and if you want a truly elegant look to your home, call them. All the employees are polite, personable and knowledgeable. I still can't believe how much work goes into a quality job. They also clean the site every day and although the work is messy, its in perfect condition when they leave. read more

After working our schedule around Monaco Concrete for getting an estimate for decking work, they called two hours before and rescheduled for the next Monday at 2:00 pm. This was Friday. We cleared our schedule for Monday, came back early from being out of town to accommodate this appointment. At 12:15p.m. Monaco called and asked if they could reschedule yet again. I was not happy. If I did that for a job interview, cancel two hours before, not once but twice, I wouldn't have the job! So obviously Monaco to not get my job. read more

We absolutely loved working with Monaco! Amazing product... but what made it even better was the awesome customer service! They were so good at communicating. They got back to us promptly and GREAT follow-up. Very professional, yet also easy and fun to work with. We couldn't believe what a detailed process they go through to install their product. It's the best money we've spent on our home upgrades to date! Highly recommend them! I would not go with anyone else. Monaco is worth every penny - and then some! read more

We just bought a home in Palm Springs, and all of the pool decking needed to be replaced. We received quotes from 4 companies, but it was clear from the beginning that Monaco was the most professional and knowledgable of all of them. From beginning to end, the project went along without any problems. The only glitch wad when we made the wrong color choice, (our fault), but the company worked with us until the job was to our satisfaction. The manager, Aaron, was amazing and was responsible for a great final result. We would highly recommend Monaco to everone! read more

Called to have them relook at overlay work redone from 5 years ago as more and more cracks have been appearing. While I found Tony the owner to be a bit arrogant then I have now found someone even more arrogant and that is Aaron. It must run through the company. He tried to tell me that the coping wasn't completely re-poured and it was the overlay that was cracking due to the cement cracking. My receipts show that I was charged for the complete removal of the old coping and new cement poured. I also have pictures. Further, the explanation that the cracks in the overlay all around the deck due to the cement under it cracking is pretty lame. I lived in the home for 15 years before the overlay and had less cracks in my cement pool deck. My driveway has less cracks and it has been here longer than 22 years. Buyer beware. While they are undoubtedly the most expensive, this is the least of my concerns. Their arrogance and what I now see over the last year as a lack of quality work should be the consumers biggest concern. read more

I'm not one to write reviews, but this needs to be said. These guys are true pros. First thing they did was come out to our property to see what was involved. Then they drove us around to several projects they have done in the area so we could see the quality of their work and get an idea of what we wanted to do with our concrete. We were extremely impressed and hired them on the spot. They explained each step of the process and gave us an estimate of how long the job would take to complete. They stuck to the schedule despite record high temperatures. When the prep work was done, it was time to lay down the color. It requires a lot of experience to create a blend of colors that will match whatever is already there, in our case an adjacent stamped concrete patio, a stacked-stone fire pit and the pool tiles. There is no recipe, and there is no going back. They had to get it right, and they did. They nailed it! We could not be happier. From beginning to end, this was a class act. Each day, the crew let us know when they were leaving in case we had any questions. At the end of the job, they cleaned up all the stray debris that finds its way into the flower beds and the pool, whereas most vendors just leave that stuff lying around when their job is done. I cannot recommend Monaco Concepts highly enough. I'd give them 20 stars if that were an option. read more

Monaco Concepts designed my backyard and installed beautiful stone work in my entrance and on the front of my house. Everything is beautiful and they went the extra mile to make sure we were happy with the results. We were not in town while the work was being done. In 2009 after being diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer my late husband contracted with Monaco Concepts to overlay all concrete surfaces around our home. They did a beautiful job which we received many compliments on. Fast forward 6 six years and for the second time the driveway has cracked up in numerous areas. I and my representative have sent multiple emails, text messages, and voice mails with no response. When they finally did respond they told us they would come out and evaluate the problem and give us a price for the repair since it is out of warranty, Needless to say they have yet to come out 3 weeks after that call. i feel it is necessary to warn anyone who is considering using Monaco Concepts that any problems you may have after they have been paid will be hard to get repaired with or without warranty. Consumer beware. I can no longer refer them to my neighbors and realtors I work with. read more
