We had Concrete by Design come and seal our stamped concrete patio. There work came with a 3 year written warranty. The product failed after a year. We have been trying to contact them by phone and email for 6 months and they will not answer calls or respond to emails. I would never recommend them or consider using them again. read more

Did not ask or confirm property boundaries. Serious problems with neighbors over this. Joe knew we were inexperienced and failed to offer proper guidelines to ensure project was viable. Contract guaranteed floor against making tire marks. However our floor has 16 tire marks all over. We contacted Joe in Dec. and he came out Jan 2nd to look at our complaint. He sent a person out to repair the marks Feb 4th. But the tire marks looked the same. Since then I have called Joe 3 times with no return call. read more

I held back a star simply because they made it so damn hard. Failure to return calls and not following through with promises on time. Signed a contract contract to have the work done. Unfortunately landscape redo was delayed so we had to postpone. Once on the schedule again, the crew arrived. That was the first and last time they were on my timeline. After the project was over, was advised the crew were subcontractors. There was a problem with the tilt of the path. Was advise, the repair would cost additional funds. Requested clarification on guarantee advertised on the website. Never followed up. Once we paid, Joe, the owner, said he would take care of us. If you dare to use them, write in the contract that company employees would be used, and exactly what the guarantee is. This was our first concrete project. We are happy with the pathways, though we did not get quality work. Dirt stained the pathway soon after it was laid. read more

Although it's not possible to tell whether this company would have done good job, I think I should have received better service during the quotation process. After meeting with Joe to review the project I waited 2 weeks for the quote. On enquiring about the lack of a response I was told that the company is unable to provide a quotation because of staffing issues. Not good customer service or communication I am afraid. read more

If I could give them 10 stars I would. Great guys to work with. I had them replace my sidewalk and the walk way up to my proch. It looks great. Jorge kept in touch while I was getting bids. I was having some other work done and he was very understanding when I had to put them off for a week while the other work was done. I paid them half after the frist day and paid the rest when they finished. The whole job was done in three days. There was no way it could have been done any faster. They tore out the old concrete one day, poured the next and put the lines in on the third morning and were out of here by 10:30 AM. I just can not say enough good about the team. Hired Tom to update the concrete around my pool and back deck. It was badly stained from water and efflorescence. I decided to go with paint and sealing. I've read several reviews where others have had peeling issues with their concrete paint jobs so hoping my experience is different. Tom's crew power washed and then sealed. Two coats of paint and then a final seal. Looks brand new and 100% better. The cost for this was $3150 - that's quite a big check but so far, I'm happy with the result. read more

Very responsive during estimation process and did a good job of cleaning up (it is a messy process). It's been a couple years and the refinished patio still looks good. My Only advice is ensure the slope and drainage is not altered. When it rains, which is not frequent in Palm Springs, I now have puddling where before all water would drain off. Didn't complain when I cut the job down by deciding to put pavers in one area, instead of restoring the concrete. Fit my small job in around his other jobs. His workers, Alfonso and Leo, were excellently trained, arrived on time, answered all my questions, and did an efficient and expert job, cleaned up afterward. I am more pleased with the results than I even thought I would be! looks great. It was not only a small job, it was very complicated, an elevated fire pit concrete island completely surrounded by mature landscaping and existing pavers and I can't even tell they were here, the fire pit and my landscaping look unscathed as they did a great job masking off with plastic and tape.
