Super delicious! First time there and was able to speak with the owner. She's extremely sweet! Everything I had was tasty. Chicken paid Thai and spring rolls! I also ordered a Thai tea! Best I've ever had! This is definitely my new Thai spot. read more

Definitely didn't have a good impression upon entering this spot. Front desk staff are lackadaisical and didn't provide basic services such as giving utensils/straws until requested. We had a party of 7 and the waitress asked if we wanted to eat outside..it was pouring rain. What kind of question is that. We had mixed reviews for food. Drunken noodles and pho were good, but pad thais were extremely sweet and tasted like a load of ketchup. All of us agreed it's a spot we wouldn't come again. read more

Maybe the best fried chicken box in Maryland. Always fresh, juicy, and with the most crispy skin! Must have

I've been looking forward to trying this spot ever since we moved to Baltimore! I've heard amazing things and it lived up to the hype. I ordered the tom kha soup with veggies and it was so delicious - super warming with the juiciest bits of veg. The broth has such a beautiful depth of flavor, I'm pretty sure I could eat this every day and never get tired of it! I also got a thai iced tea, and they had an option to use dairy or non-dairy milk which I appreciated. I opted for coconut milk in my tea and it was great! Much lighter and easier on my gut than dairy, with the same sweet flavor I expected! I ordered takeout and everything was packaged very securely, with utensils and a straw in the bag. The soup was in a plastic container and bagged in a plastic baggie before being put in the paper bag they used to put everything together. Parking is always pretty chaotic in this area, but I found a spot with no problem and didn't have to pay since I was just popping in and out. read more

We ordered pho from here via GrubHub one weekend to continue our search for good pho places in the Baltimore City area and were pleasantly surprised at the quality of the pho broth! It was clean without too much of that artificial sweetness that can come from using too much MSG. However, maybe it was just how the GrubHub app was organized, but it was a little confusing as to whether or not their pho bowls would come with the standard veggies (i.e., bean sprouts, thai basil, jalapeños) so we paid extra for the veggie bags just to be on the safe side. For $3/bag, we were a little surprised to find each bag only came with 1 stalk of thai basil... definitely not worth the $3 upcharge for items that should come standard with pho. It also took about 2 1/2 hours for our order to finally come, hence the two star deductions. Hopefully we'll have better luck if we ate there in person read more

Such amazing food, great atmosphere and service! Kahn Jerd Woo soup and the basil fried rice is the best I've ever had.

The chef is extremely nice and she made us a very very spicy noodle dish when we chose the "make me cry" option. She said she used 30 of her home-grown chilies! Spicy or not, the best thing about the noodles is that they had that smoky stir-fry flavor. Pho was great too. Amazing cooking and nice staff. read more

Service can be hit or miss but friendly. Need another server because they are busy. Food is really good. Street chicken is delicious, comes out hot, great texture, and really good flavor. Soups and other Tai dishes are good as well. Decent portions. Awesome neighborhood to walk around after your meal. Enjoy Hon! read more

I'm so grateful to have another delicious vegetarian-friendly spot on the ave! Staff was nice and service was fast. I got the tofu red curry and opted to forgo the rice. Super tasty and just the right amount of heat! I appreciate their menu diversity, just in case I DO feel like carb-loading on some pho on a day where I wake up with a sour tummy. read more

So wanted to try this place and man was I surprised. Ordered Grubhub and they forgot the rice for the vegetable pad. Though some would sing them for this for me it was a blessing. In our original order I forgot to order the Shrimp summer rolls. So called about rice and they offered to credit us or make the rice for us great customer service. So I asked to add the Shrimp rolls they were quick to deliver and then we ate our dinner. I want to start with the shrimp rolls. Most places they are simple and somewhat plain but not at Mona. They has a wonderful mint and cilantro inside with the shrimp. However the star of this was the sauce that went with it. Now the pho this was amazing not only was everything portion out perfectly to make at home they also included all the options if you wanted to add more heat or flavor. I went all in and the heat was awesome. The meat was tender and the noodles were the best pho noodles I have ever had. Now the. Vegetable Pad when I saw my wife order I thought it looked plain and bland. I was so wrong the sauce had a depth of flavor I cannot describe but I could easily go all vegetable for this dish tasted amazing. So bottom line if you want great food at a good price give it a try. Now I want to do date night at this place and it's a welcome addition to the Avenue eating scene. read more

Always the best pho in the area!! I normally get delivery from this place and their food are always well sealed too:)

The best noodle I have ever tasted, every dish is prepared to order..Make it very very hot or just spicy...I travel 33minutes to get MONA'S flavorful noodle dishes,,You won't be disappointed!!! read more

So happy this place opened up! Got the veggie pho and red curry. Both were amazing! Can't wait to dine in.

Ordered through GrubHub and it came on time. I got 2 orders of the chicken pho. I've tried pho from Pho Dat Thanh, Pho Saigon Hanoi, Pho D'Lite & this place did impress me. I was worried about how much toppings I would get so I order extra basil leaves, onions, & bean sprouts ($5). I was pleased with the amount, however I don't think it's worth the extra $$ for toppings that should already come with pho. It's just vegetables, so I'm not sure why some restaurants are so stingy with the toppings. Maybe you get more when you eat in, or you can just ask for more w/o being charged. $17+ is a bit much for extra toppings. Also, I was disappointed with the size of the hoisin sauce container. Usually it's bigger especially if you have 2 orders. Overall, the broth does have a different taste than I'm used to but I REALLY enjoyed it. Probably won't be my new spot, but I definitely want to dine in to try other menu items. read more

Very yummy! Ordered takeout tonight and the food was fantastic. I love all the pho options and the broth was super tasty. delicious spring rolls and amazing chicken satay. I can't wait to try their other noodle dishes! read more

Came here with a friend around 7pm on a Thursday and sat outside. It was a beautiful night , there was barely anyone seated, and we were both starving. While the service was above par, the food was not. My friend ordered #4 pho and I ordered Pad Thai Tofu (heat level #4). Her food came out first and there was a high broth to meat ratio. Very little meat. She thought they messed up her order, but when she asked they said it was the #4. Mine came out a few minutes later and while it looked amazing and tasted decent, it didn't have that Pad Thai flavor. It was tangy and not really spicy at all, and another person's comment on Yelp that it tasted like ketchup resonated. All in all, I'd probably try coming here once more to give them a second chance, but my first food experience here was disappointing. read more

I don't know how to explain how incredibly delicious their broth is for their pho dishes. It's one of the main reasons why I love eating here. It's perfect during a cold day and warms you up with every bite. I've been to many pho restaurants but something about how they make their broth here that I can't seem to find anywhere else. I haven't been disappointed by Mona's and I'm sure you won't either. And if you are then something's wrong with your taste buds. read more

Decent food. Friendly staff. I'd go back if I was in the area and in the mood for a quick bite.

Mona's Super Noodle is amazingly good. The red curry is the best. Will definitely be back often.

I went here on March 10th 2022. The food is ok, but the service was awful. I don't know why this lady had a problem with me. I ordered the Pad Thai with extra vegetables and mango sticky rice. She messed up my order and tried to lie about it and make it seem like her mistake was my fault. There were no vegetables to be found and I asked her politely about the extra vegetables I asked for and she said that they were right there, and they most definitely weren't, I was feeling very uncomfortable so my boyfriend had to stick up for me because he heard me ask for the vegetables and could clearly see there were none. So she brought out my extra vegetables by the time I was about finished with the noodles. She ignored us and didn't fill up our water glasses, and were waiting and waiting for the sticky rice and it never came so I asked if we could get the sticky rice to go and she literally just threw a to-go box at me and disappeared. It was shocking and disrespectful, the mango sticky rice never even came so we had to go find her and ended up asking for to just take off the sticky rice from the check so we can pay and get out of that place. What a very childish person to treat someone like that, like lady, just own up to your mistakes and be accountable, don't treat someone like that because you weren't paying attention to what you were doing. It was a simple order with a simple fix, no need to be so rude. We were too nice still paid her 15% tip that she did not deserve in the slightest. I left this place in tears. I hope the restaurant manager sees this and talks with her about her behavior. read more

Beyond disappointed with our food. From the pho, pad Thai, and sticky rice everything was dried out and super bland. The sticky rice had a terrible smell. Was hoping for better. read more

4 of us have been making the rounds of Hampden restaurants lately, and have been very pleased with all the places we've checked out thus far. Last night we were in the mood for pacific rim rice noodles. We had no problem getting seated inside (there is also ample outdoor seating if that's what you prefer), and the aroma from the kitchen increased our hunger pangs. Our friends decided to try the Pho, while my wife and I wanted to split the Pad See Ew and drunken noodles. You can order the noodles on a spice scale 1 being mild, 5 being ARE YOU OUT OD YOUR FRIGGING MIND hot. We went with a spice level of 2, because we wanted to taste the flavor texture Thai food is known for. The food came out of the kitchen hot, indicating everything is custom made. We all enjoyed our food, and ordered a mango sticky rice to share for dessert. This was also excellent. Soooooo, on to the rating: while the food was at least a 4.5, the restaurant's appearance was rustic Hampton, and the server was inattentive. We tried several times to have him clear our table and bring our check but each time he just walked away. Finally, I stood up and in a louder tone told him we were ready to leave and wanted our check, he said "Oh, your have to go up to the register, tell then what you had and pay up there". OK, but how would we have known that was their procedure???? We would return for the food, now knowing the procedure read more

Food was delicious and the service was top notch. Highly recommend. I believe they take reservations and would suggest doing so as they were very busy. read more

A friend and I wanted to try Pho and we heard of this spot. The service was very slow but as a supporter of small businesses that didn't bother me much. The problems arose when I noticed the servers helping everyone BUT us. It took about 15 minutes before someone came to our table. The food took more than an hour to come out. We were never asked for refills or if everything was okay. While we were eating, the server brought us our check. We hadn't requested it, not we're we close to finished. It seemed like the server just didn't want us there. The pho, however was pretty good and I liked how the calamari was fried. Maybe we just had a bad serving experience but I wouldn't go back. read more

Ordered Uber etas... they didn't toss my wings in the sauce and gave us this little tiny container of sauce to dip?...my dry wings in??? Nahhhhh that's not how you serve wings!!! Idc if someone says it's to keep the wings from getting soggy, that doesn't happen if you make wings right! read more

Casual restaurant with excellent, fresh Thai food. The eggplant and basil/peppers with chicken selected as the protein was excellent, with a flavorful brown sauce and perfectly done eggplant and chicken. The choice of 4/5 spiciness was actually mild, which was great for the dish. The coconut milk and mushroom soup with shrimp as the protein was tangy and excellent. This is food like you might luck in to in Thailand. The calamari was fried well,, but was not great. The sticky rice and mango desert was unusual and recommended. Can't wait to try the fried banana with ice cream. Eating inside the very spaced tables was nice, there are also outdoor tables. I didn't find take-out as good--the flavors and textures just aren't as good as right off the stove or with the ingredients freshly combined. BYOB and Thai iced tea for drinks. read more

Amazing food!! I haven't had a bad meal here ever! Always delicious and the staff are always very friendly and nice!

Both food and service were excellent. Would highly recommend to anyone looking to eat healthy and delicious Tai cuisine

Absolutely delicious food, I'm so happy to have a new go-to spot in Hampden. The #1 Pho was so much more flavorful than other restaurants I've tried, but still well balanced. We also got the Pad Thai, Drunken Noodles, and Crispy Tofu- all super yummy. The stand out was the chicken box - wow!!! super crispy skin, perfect rice and fantastic sauce! read more

Went by to check this spot out since people have been raving about the pho. We ordered the pho and were very disappointed. It is not authentic pho by any means. The broth lacked flavor and there was very little meat and it was all noddles. There are other great options in the city that serve authentic pho. We also ordered a handful of apps to try as well as the grilled chicken entree. Nothing blew us away everything was mediocre. read more

This place is the best! We just about ordered the whole menu while out with our family, and everything was incredible. We ordered numerous different entrees and many of the appetizers and they were all simply amazing. The service is excellent and all of the staff are so friendly and helpful - Mona even stopped by the table for a chat! Wonderful food, wonderful people. Also the Thai iced tea is a must. Also. . . an excellent location and the space has a great vibe! read more

Had a great indoor meal! The owner did greet us and thanked us for our patronage! Will go back soon.

I really wanted to like this place. The menu is exciting, but unfortunately twice now the flavors have fallen a bit flat. The red curry was very oily and appeared to have no coconut milk to balance the curry flavors. And tofu and vegetable dish had a runny and pretty flavorless sauce. I could get past these alone and keep trying except that both times I have ordered meals with vegetable and tofu dishes and explicitly stated I was vegan in the comments, I have found chunks of meat in my food. I understand that cross contamination likely happens behind the scenes at restaurants more than I'd like to know, but actual chunks of meat in my food twice really makes me concerned. I really hope I'm not getting a dish that was made with chicken and then picked out last minute! read more
