The bakery hasn't changed at all in over 50 years, just as I remember it! There's still the incredible smell of baked goods as you walk through the door! I ordered the Chocolate Bobka and a Black and White cookie, which was a must for me! They still make the best Black and White cookies! I was not happy at all to hear they no longer make their Chocolate Eclairs! Back in the day, walking home from HS, I would always pass Walls and I would buy an Eclair to eat on the way home! They were filled to the brim with delicious custard and the dough that held the custard with the chocolate strip on top was over the top amazing! The Chocolate Bobka was a little dry but still very good! Together with a glass of milk it was a great treat that brought back lots of memories! I'm planning a repeat visit next month, the Apple Strudel and Rugalach I remember being delicious so that's what I'll be getting when I return. I hope the owner is there, I'd really like him to reconsider bringing back the eclairs!! If you're in the area, try to visit Walls! The place smelled divine and there were a ton of different options to choose from. From cakes to pies, breads, cookies and everything in between. I tried to place an order for Christmas to take with me to PA, but was told they don't take advance orders. You have to go in the same day and buy whatever is available. I almost made the trek from Queens Village on a snowy day. That's how good the cannolis are. The carrot cake was very good, with great body and filling, though the frosting was a bit too sweet.

Zomick's is in a small kosher supermarket. I find that the prices in general are a bit overpriced especially for a kosher supermarket. The cakes where delicious even know they where expensive. The parking can be a bit of a challenge. The customer service was fine. The woman behind counter was friendly and helpful.

I want to express my extreme disappointment at discovering that you are selling a markedly reduced size sample of the "challah-15oz" bread product by an estimated 30%-40% while the price is the same or more. The manipulation and lack of transparency concerning the SIZE is a huge turn-off. If you must produce this product at a reduced size, I would rather that you raise the price somewhat without reducing the size and or offer a choice of size. I will vote with my wallet unless and until Zomick's demonstrates some sensitivity in this area. Also, your feedback function on your website is not working using Firefox and/or Chrome browsers.
