The presentation of the cake was absolutely beautiful and exceeded my expectations. Unfortunately, that's where the positives ended. The cake itself did not taste good at all. I ordered a vanilla cake with fresh strawberries and whipped cream filling, but the filling was extremely minimal--barely there. The cake was also very dry and not moist whatsoever. This cake was for a special occasion honoring my mother, and she actually described it as "disgusting," which was incredibly embarrassing given the event. I recently placed an order for my birthday cake. They were able to accommodate my request with only a week away. It was also not far from Hub's work place. He was able to pick up the cake after a short drive. It was also convenient to place the order via email or online without having to do it old-school via phone. My cake was inspired by the trending letter cakes. It seems to be all the rage now with tik tok and IG! I provided a photo of what I was looking and the decor details. They pretty much nailed the cake! It was a vanilla cake with guava and dulce de leche filling and white buttercream. The cake was decorated with macaroons, chocolate dipped strawberries, piped flowers (they don't do fresh flowers), and chocolate drip. As seen in comparison, the original had different color macaroons, fresh flowers, chocolate dipped strawberries, and caramel drip. However, the cake delivered had similar details. Hub had trouble lifting the cake as it was dense, tall, and heavier than expected, lol. The worker had to customize a box on the spot to fit the cake. If you are looking for a baker to match the same EXACT design, then they are not for you. They explicitly state on their order form and email that photos are only used for inspirational and design purpose. It will not match the exact color and detail. The cake was delicious!! Only the buttercream was a tad too sweet. The guava and dulce de leche was an amazing combination! I highly recommend it if you have a sweet tooth! My kids loved the macaroons and chocolate dipped strawberries as well. Pricing was also very reasonable compared to other bakeries. We were looking for a Dominican cake for our wedding in Long Island and this shop popped up on Google. I e-mailed them and they said they had a cake tasting kit! They had one ready for us the next day and all the cakes tasted soo good, but my husband and I ultimately went with the Dominican style cake with guava and dulce de leche! They are very professional and very timely in their communication, which was done all through e-mail. The day of the wedding, the cake was delivered and tasted amazing. I am removing one star, only because our wedding was a Sunday and they let us know very close to the date, that they don't typically deliver cakes on Sundays and that we might have to pick it up. I am sharing my horrendous experience with this bakery, per the horrible customer service that I received from the "boss" on duty this afternoon. I attempted to place in order in-person, as their website does not have all of the selections that they have in-store. I wanted to purchase their three-layer dulce de leche cake, but the cashier insisted that I place my order online in spite of the fact that I've placed three orders in person over the past three months without any incident. I expressed my concerns over the limited online selection and she summoned her boss. The "boss" on duty proceeded to yell at me because I'd wanted to place my order in person, even though I tried to explain that I've placed it in person before (post-COVID) and that I was going to pay for my order right then and there. At one point, she clapped her hands at me as if she were training a dog while yelling at me that there were communication issues on my end and that she didn't want to help me at all. She continued to yell at me even after I'd requested that she stop and I ended up leaving the bakery in absolute frustration. As a customer of theirs for 18 months who has never had any issues with them before, I was treated deplorably and will ensure that I will never frequent their establishment ever again. I ordered a cake for my daughter's birthday, Sesame Street themed. I was scared of the outcome because I had the idea of what I wanted in my head so I had to screenshot some different cake ideas for them and hope they made it happen. They made it happen and I couldn't be more happy. I also had a request to have the entire cake made of buttercream , minus the designs of course as I really hate fondant. They had no problem with my request and the guests loved the cake. There was barely any left and I had a 3 teired cake for 65 people. Top layer had vanilla cake with strawberry jelly. Middle was vanilla cake with cookies and cream. Bottom was vanilla cake with guava cream and guava jelly. My favorite was the guava. Would recommend to anyone. This place was well priced for the delicious cake. One thing that is highly recommended is leave the cake out for an hour or 2 before serving. Cake was moist and soft.
