Passing by this little bakery the cute name caught my eye "Nothing Bundt cakes!! Also the convenience of a bakery in Valley Stream I had to stop in. They have a good selection of Bundt cakes, actually I've never bought one because my Mom used to make a chocolate one that was super delicious! So of course I ordered a chocolate chocolate chip individual "bundtlet" my granddaughter ordered the strawberry cheesecake swirl "bundtlet" both come with white drizzled icing ! These little cakes were super delicious and very moist the icing is sweet and goes well with the chocolate chip & strawberry cream cake! I must mention the service ! At 6:00 pm there were several people on line and only one guy behind the counter named Kyle he was so friendly and explained the different types of cakes they have sugar free Bundt's too. I visited Nothing Bundt Cakes and had mixed feelings about my experience. The staff was very friendly and welcoming, and the shop itself is really cute and inviting. I really wanted to like it, especially since I drove pretty far to get there because there isn't a location in Brooklyn. I was excited to try the Biscoff Bundt cake and the lemon cake, which was recommended to me by one of the staff members. Unfortunately, it just wasn't for me. I was driving by and I saw this dessert spot and I always liked going into these little shops that serve cakes and sweets because they're delicious. So I was happy to see that there was one in valley stream on Merrick blvd. It's a cute little shop. The cake that I decided to purchase was the cookies and cream chocolate chip cake. Nothing Bundt Cakes is another one of those places that specializes in only one item. I've been to other ones in NY that specialize in only rice pudding, cupcakes, and empanadas for example. In this place, their specialty is the Bundt cake - the large donut shaped cake with a vanilla flavor. The cakes here are offered as the typical large size (8" diameter or 10" diameter), in a big muffin size (Bundtlet), or mini bite sized cakes (Bundtinis). I am not a big enough fan of Bundt cakes to really rate this place any higher than 4 stars. However, they make their product well. You can buy a mixed assortment of Bundtinis to try several flavors. That's what I ate and it's my recommendation. The cakes are fresh and they have a nice assortment of 13 flavors to choose from. I was super excited to have them in my own little town since I tried them a few years back and found them not to be super sweet! My favorite is the red velvet and from a small one I share with my husband and sons, so it's a nice treat. The service has been really good and they have been busy since opening day. I love that they wrap them, add a ribbon and a little flag message at no fee. I hope they don't change that ever since it makes them as a great personalized gift. The cakes were moist, melt in your mouth goodness. We waited roughly 25 mins for our order but that's only because we order bundtinis by the dozen and we needed to wait for them to be baked fresh. My advice is to order the bundtinis in advance. I will say it was worth the wait so no complaints on my end. We ordered the carrot cake, red velvet, lemon and white chocolate raspberry. Ordered a little treat to cheer up a friend. Paid $13 for delivery PLUS gave a $5 tip. Asked that the bag of treats not be left on the ground if recipient not home. Asked that the bag it comes in (a gift bag with handles) be hung on the doorknob so food isnt on the ground accessible to animals or bugs. Totally ignored the request. Contacted NBCskes customer care and they said, in essence, oh well, call the store (closed by then). Why have a customer care dept that doesn't care at all? I wont order ever again. Came in to check out their new location in Valley Stream located inside a shopping center on Merrick Road. The bakery is small and nicely decorated. This is the best Bundt cake I ever tasted. I've had the lemon, a chocolate and red velvet Bundtlet. These are nice size individual Bundts. I could share, I guess, but no. Too good.
