One of very few remaining "gold standards" for traditional authentic and outstanding New York cheesecake. Heavy, rich, decadent and delicious. You'd be hard pressed to find a better representative cheesecake in NYC. It can also come marbled or with a few topping choices but who wants to mess with perfection! Their other traditional cakes, cookies and specialty cakes (Cannoli cakes, tiramisu cakes etc) are equally fabulous.

4 tier wedding cake filled with strawberry creme and chocolate pudding!

Thanks Cascon for a wonderful wedding cake!! They are contracted with Terrace on the Park venue and provided us with a small variety of cake and filling options as well as cake design options. (since it is a contract with a venue, that is probably why we had limited cake options to choose from, which is fine. I believe we could have paid extra for more options). We had a 4 tier cake filled with strawberry creme and chocolate pudding! We picked a very simple cake design that incorporated our wedding colors, navy blue and burgundy red. They were very easy to work with and cake tasting was very quick. After we picked our cake, it was all taken care of from there. Cascon got in touch with Terrace and scheduled delivery on our wedding day. I didn't have to worry about a thing! On our wedding day, the cake was there! After our tasting, we also bought some mini cheesecakes and other pastries. They were pretty good! Definitely recommend Cascon!

Heavenly apple pie, made with fresh apples and a savory crust! Is a must have.

The tiramisu exceeded my expectations. Nice coffee flavor and perfectly sweet. The rainbow cookies are a little irregular and on the cakier side whereas I like mine a little denser. I put them in the fridge and liked them more chilled! This bakery seemed like a favored local hangout. It's relaxed and easy-going, ideal for grabbing a coffee while you're out and about. Food: Their baked goods are the real star here--freshly baked onsite with a professional touch. The flavors are unique, making it a fun stop for something different. While the selection is on the smaller side, each item seems thoughtfully crafted. A few more savory options would be a welcome addition, though! Service: The service is quick and efficient. There's usually just one person behind the counter, but they handle things smoothly and get your order ready in no time. No long waits, which is great for a quick bite. Suggestions: A couple of high chairs would be a nice touch for families with little ones! Also, a few more savory items on the menu would be fantastic to round out the offerings. Overall: Overall, Somedays is a solid go-to for a quick coffee and pastry. It's a pleasant, no-fuss spot with delicious treats, and I'm excited to see what they add next. Over the years, as many of those bakers retired, the number of quality bakeries slowly dwindled. One by one, many of the old favorites disappeared. So when Aphrodite's opened, I was eager--and a bit skeptical--to see if it would be worth the trip. Then I tried their mini cheese empanadas, and that settled it. These little sweet treats are unbelievably addictive. I've brought them to gatherings and shared them with friends and family, and without fail they disappear almost instantly. I honestly can't think of another baked item I've purchased that has been so universally loved. Since then, I've started exploring more of their pastries and baked goods, and each visit has been a pleasant surprise. One item seems better than the next. First off, the cake was moist and dense at the same time, which I really liked. It wasn't too overwhelmingly sweet - this is important, since I served it to older adults, who are not fond of super sugary, diabetes inducing cakes (hahah ). But they appreciated the cinnamon-y taste from the pumpkin spice cake. Furthermore, all the fruit on the cake was fresh. There were pomegranate seeds, blueberries, blackberries, and strawberries. All 1000% ripe, fresh, with the right amount of sweetness. The fruits did not seem to be pre-frozen and thawed either. Lastly, the rosemary and cinnamon sticks were a very nice touch to the cake. It made it look more earthy in my opinion. Most importantly, my grandma loved the cake! So thank you very much for putting a smile on my Lola's face for her birthday!
