I will definitely be returning soon to try the other flavors! 5 stars for sure!!!

I recently visited The Lab and I have to say 10/10 experience!…read more I tried their homemade strawberry lemonade first. It was definitely on the sweeter side (I even added ice to balance it out), but it was still really good and refreshing. No complaints there at all. Now let's get into the desserts because that's what really matters! I grabbed six cupcakes for $15, which is an excellent price. Here's my honest breakdown: * VIP Bree Funfetti - Really good! * Strawberry Shortcake - It was okay. * Strawberry Crunch - Good! * Cookies & Cream - Also okay. * Blue Velvet - Not really my favorite. * Butter Cookie - 10/10! My absolute favorite. I also tried the Remix Brownie, which has cookies baked inside. I truly enjoyed it. It had a brownie layer on top and more of a cake-like texture at the bottom. It wasn't too dense, super moist, and just overall delicious. I did warm it up in the microwave but I warm up most of my desserts anyway and that made it even better. On top of the food being great, the service was awesome. We had a few laughs, and the vibe was really welcoming. Next time I'm definitely going back to try the banana pudding and the cookie butter pudding. Amazing prices, easy parking, great service, and delicious desserts. I will absolutely be back!

International Women's Day and Soulfood Sunday! What is a…read morebakery Monday-Saturday adds soulfood on Sundays. The menu rotates as I thought I would have catfish nuggets. The order was turkey wing, green beans and candied yams for me. I only wish it was two turkey wings. D-E-L-I-C-I-O-U-S. My son had honey BBQ chicken wings with a double order of mac & cheese. He said the Mac & cheese was creamy and the wings good. My daughter, the salmon aficianado had me taste the crab stuffed salmon, Mac & cheese (requested green beans but I got her yellow rice). She expected the salmon to be split open versus a line of crab atop the generous piece of salmon. Two stools to the side and a bench at the front windows to await preparation. Very pink inside. I opted to add four cupcakes (strawberry crunch/red velvet/blue velvet/chocolate-chocolate) and house strawberry lemonade to wash down my meal and it hit the spot.

I have to say before I went here I couldn't wrap my head around what the big deal was. But curiosity killed the cat and so I came for a visit. This is soo good. Perfectly executed tasty delicious cake with perfectly delicious frosting. They even have a gf version which I got for a friend. The woman who helped us was so sweet. She bent over backwards to accommodate our order. Maybe she was flattered. I suppose it's not every day you get people coming in from NC to try your cupcakes on the way to see their family. The place is immaculately clean and cheerful with their artsy sprinkles on the wall in glass as decor.

I tried to place an order for Christmas to take with me to PA, but was told they don't take advance orders. You have to go in the same day and buy whatever is available. I almost made the trek from Queens Village on a snowy day. That's how good the cannolis are. The carrot cake was very good, with great body and filling, though the frosting was a bit too sweet.

I was headed to Howard Beach and this was a top Yelp suggestion. There were all kinds of wonderful goodies that made for some great holiday boxes to drop off on my next few stops. What was really nice is that they were decorated in fall colors with fun little Thanksgiving touches. There was a wide variety of chocolate covered Oreos with turkeys, leaves, pilgrims and cornucopia. Graham crackers and Rice Krispies were also dipped and decorated. And, God, I wish I had saved a chocolate and sprinkle-covered Twinkie for myself!! Everything was tucked into unique pink boxes, which helps these treats stand out from the usual bakery fare. Next time I'm going for the chocolate pizzas, cupcakes, and beautifully decorated cakes. The young lady behind the counter was also the baker and she could not have been nicer. She was so helpful! From all of the items on display, it's clear she takes a lot of pride in her work. I can't wait to go back and stock up. Definitely check out this wonderful spot!!

There were only about three other customers there when I visited. The space is bright, welcoming, and has pretty blue walls with music playing in the background. The display case looked inviting although all the individually wrapped pastries made it a little harder to get a good look at everything. The employee helping us was fairly new and hadn't tried many of the items I asked about, but she was friendly, patient, and happy to answer our questions while we figured out what we wanted. I settled on the regular chocolate brownie (they also had a red velvet version). At $4, it was thick. The brownie was incredibly dense, rich, and intensely chocolatey. I don't know if there's such a thing as too chocolatey, but this came close. It was definitely on the sweeter side, absolutely delicious, and had me wishing I had a cold glass of milk to go with it. I'd definitely come back to try some of their other baked goods. They also mentioned they do custom orders but I'm usually a chocolate chip cookie kind of girl, so that'll probably be my next try. We'll see what else catches my eye next time.
