Interesting that Valley Stream has 2 Chilean places within walking distance of each other. Chilean food isn't so abundantly available in the USA, but it's really nice having 2 choices in Valley Stream. This place is tiny, but the moment you walk in, you are dazzled by the pastries and the friendly welcome. This had been on my Yelp list of places try for a long time, but given is far from home, I hadn't stop by until now. My nostalgia for Chilean food of my time there, finally prompted me to take the long drive. Everything looks amazing in the display case and if I could have it all, I WOULD!! But less is more sometimes. The Empanada de Pino (Chilean style beef empanada) were super tasty and the Chilenitos, fresh and delectably sweet. They have a few tables for eating in and their menu is basic to some of the most iconic nostalgic foods from Chile. The walls are decorated sparingly, but don't and center, they proudly display memoribilia of their loved one's military service. That alone gives them an extra star. This place is a must, if you want some good Chilean food and some friendly smiles.

The food here tastes good and feels comforting, the desserts are sweet and authentic, the staff is attentive, and the place itself has a lot of personality and history despite its compact scale. The prices are incredibly affordable. They only accept cash so keep that in mind. I highly recommend this place for a quick bite of popular Chilean dishes.

It sucks that this place doesn't have more reviews because it is absolutely amazing! I've been coming here for years, stopping in every so often and each time is better than the last. The staff is so nice and attentive! They don't make fun of me when I mispronounce every word so that's definitely appreciated hahaha All the food items I have tried here are so good! For the food I would go for the hot dog which comes with avocado and mayo which I have never had before on a hotdog but I'm so glad I have now discovered it! The cuisine is from Chile so the dishes are so new and interesting to me! They also make the hotdog on this amazing toasted bread so it's not your average bun which I love. My mom has had various sandwiches there and has told me they all are so fresh. For the dessert: You must try everything once, no joke you will not regret it. Many of the items are made with dulce de leche so if you love caramel you will love all the dessert! My favorite is the Pancake which is layered sponge cake with caramel that melts in your mouth. The Alfajor and all the other desserts are also to die for! This place has to be my favorite dessert on Long Island just because of how fresh and authentic everything tastes. Might I add the portions and prices are great!

I've been here a few times now, love the food! Big fan of the empanadas! Try the cheese and shrimp one if they have it that day. If you you are craving a supreme hot dog, I recommend the completo. Service is always friendly and the coffee is just how I like it. Looking forward to trying more of the food and the baked goods. Great little gem on Rockaway Ave!

I've been a resident of Valley Stream my entire life. I've probably eaten at every deli and cafe in town and countless ones from the surrounding area. Usually I get an egg sandwich that is overdone on day old bread. This has been an answer to a problem for me. I know it's a bakery and a great place for sandwiches but honestly, no one makes a better egg sandwich than this guy. Their bread is made fresh everyday and is some hybrid of a roll and a biscuit. It is my favorite bread. Their lunch specials and sandwiches in my opinion are also stand alone as my favorite in town. The place is SUPER clean and you can watch the chef work his magic in the kitchen from the counter. He has an extreme amount of focus and precision. This place is my new favorite. Try anything with confidence.

The best chilean hotdogs. I love the environment and the food is delicious. You need to try hotdogs with avocado at least once in your life.

Choose items like Cadbury chocolate brownies, Biscoff or Raffelo cupcakes, or even sundae cups! Seeing as though there were only 2 left, I ordered a Belgian Chocolate Malt cupcake for about tree fiddy (no joke) and was on my way. The cupcake was superb. The base is a nice, moist chocolate cake. But the frosting is where it truly shines. It was so rich and malty, it was like eating a soft Malteser. What's even better is that the size is not obscene, so you're felt feeling satisfied but not overwhelmed. Service was polite. And if you're not in the Elmont area, no worries as there are now a few locations on the island. Would gladly recommend them for your bakeshop needs!

However, I stopped going because I ordered cakes and they were just done very sloppily and weren't worth the money I was being charged. Last week, I decided I'd give them another chance because I want to support local businesses and it was the biggest mistake of my life. I don't ever want to review a business to harm them but I really think they need to take some feedback and implement that into their business. I ordered a gender reveal cake, something small and simple and specifically told them to make sure the writing on the cake was done neatly as I remember one of the previous cakes I had gotten the writing was not neat. The person taking my order asked me if I'd like whip outside or buttercream and I asked what they recommended because I'd only done buttercream before and they said if you're doing whip inside then it's fine to do whip outside. I said ok. Placed my order and went in to pick it up. As soon as I saw the cake I was horrified. The writing was so sloppy and so was the cake. It was as if I made the cake myself. I asked them to fix the writing on top at least. They said ok the baker will fix it. She brings it outside and said it's whip so I can't do much but buttercream would be better (it was worse than when she had taken it inside) I said ok you can do it in buttercream no problem. Brings it back outside and it's still sloppier than ever. I said this is not neat at all, and she said well it's what I can do it looks just like the picture. I said no it does not ( I will attach the picture for reference) and the baker goes "well what can I do this is how I write?" In that moment I just knew they were not willing to help at all. I had already paid in full for the cake so I took it and left. Come home to see that this is supposed to be a gender reveal cake and you can LITERALLY see the icing inside the cake from outside. It doesn't matter if you pay $40 for a cake or $100+ you should be getting what you requested. This was a simple cake that they completely ruined. When I texted her the picture I emphasized that I'd like the writing to be as neat as possible, and I was reassured it would be. Also, if you as the professional know whip won't work as well, why not call the customer and discuss with them prior to ruining the product you are providing. The excuses did not make sense. I will not be returning. And I hope they can take this feedback and improve their cake decorating process. The cake went to waste and we had to improvise last minute.
