This place might not look like much but MAN can they cook. It's classic home cooked meals! They are working to get everything back on the menu after the pandemic but everything we tried was excellent! I got the blueberry pancakes for breakfast, which were awesome! Then we went back for lunch the next day and their classic cheeseburger with moms fries were unreal! So good! When we visit again I'll be back! read more

I'm being generous, service at best was a D-!! Good customer service is not their goal/priority. A tiny 20 seat cafe & miserably HOT inside, with no ventilation. Pitiful service from the get-go from both the waitresses. They were rude, ignoring us, unprofessional attitudes, condescending when taking our order & when I tried asking questions. No eye contact or pleasant greeting, no smile. The old one had a dark, cold as ice personalities. Took 50+ mins to get our food, the serve's never came by once to let us know that our order was delayed, just left us sitting there wondering. I had to finally ask if our order was coming up:(. Also seemed as if they were rationing water, giving us tiny water glasses & never coming back to refill, in a stinking hot cafe, until I asked. They passed by us many times & never a word or water fill up, but took time out to chitchat with each other. Other patrons were equally irritated. The cafe was stinking HOT inside. . Good spot for breakfast with great service; parking a bit awkward but place is small so doable.

I stopped the other day for breakfast. I had bacon and eggs with hash browns and rye toast. It was cooked to perfection. My friend had hash brown O'Brien.with sausage . The waitress was fast and friendly. She did provide us with the specials for the day. It was very busy. Definitely a great stop!. read more

We were delighted to find mom's kitchen while camping in the North Bend area earlier this month. We had had enough of camp food and wanted a good breakfast in a warm place. What we found was beyond our expectations. The food was tasty and was generously portioned. Most people won't need more than one pancake because they are enormous and give a whole new definition to the "pan-cake". The sausage gravy reminded me of my own mom's cooking. We returned for breakfast two other times that week. The only disappointment was that they were not open on Sunday so we could continue our new daily habit. I have to tell you--this place is something else... Yelp reviews led me here and I could not believe what I saw... Straight out of the dictionary definition of Mom and Pop. Most of the peeps dining here are well known by Mom and Pop so much so that they bring their regular drinks to the table the minute they sit down. The man at the counter next to me did not even order--they just cooked up his meal and delivered it to him. I was worried that I would throw Mom behind the grill into a tizzy when I ordered an egg white omelet not on the menu--but she handled it without flinching. And when I asked Pop how much it would cost to add some fine Oregon Blueberries into my pancake, he said $2.00. I said hope they are good, and pop came back with....better be...they are from my brother's blueberry farm! And while I was eating one of the best breakfast meals ever--fresh farm ingredients all around, mom and pop started getting nervous because the fresh eggs were running out. I was thinking...someone better get some chickens laying over here quick! But in walked a delivery of fresh eggs. And the well known local guy sitting next to me I chatted up eating a boat load of hash browns commented to me--these are the best hash browns you will ever have--they shred their own potatoes every night--fresh--pounds and pounds--none of that frozen nonsense. I was so impressed that I needed to have a taste and I told mom about it, and she was so nice --she slipped me a small grip--perfect desert. Parking is on the sharp hill street on the side of the place. Don't come here with more than 4 people, best for 1 or 2 peeps--limited table seating. Don't come here if in a rush--you could be here an hour or more--relax. Good food takes time. Not fancy--very basic diner--you don't need to dress up. Mom, Pop, and Son are great hard working busy folks cooking some of the best you will have--be nice to them. It is hard being on your feet and around food and stoves all day. Phenomenal breakfast. The biscuits and gravy are hands down the BEST I have ever had. Just one freshly made biscuit with the warm creamy gravy was enough for me. We decided to take a seat at the counter by the door and had full view of what goes on in the kitchen. The chef used simple wholesome ingredients that mom would've used at home. The menu is quite basic, but the quality of the food! Every breakfast item we ate was delicious, slab of ham, fried eggs, hash browns, and a Denver omelette that my sister stated was the best omelette she ever had. And then the four of us share one massive, wonderful pancake. The cook has a secret method of making his pancakes, and it was, bar none, the most fabulous pancake ever.
