This place has my all-time favorite blueberry pancakes. They're fluffy but not too doughy, and they butter them before bringing them out. Ohmygoodness...I love Moms. We went in during covid. Loved the puzzles they were doing...and for being from out of town and the only customers....we got treated wonderfully. They made our meals w special requests. Then they loaded our bags with silverware, napkins, jelly and salt and pepper! We drove to the waterfront to eat. These were the best hashbrowns I have had in so long. The omelet was stuffed w yummy things. What an incredible meal. Hope to come back and dine in. read more

She was on top of everything for the whole restaurant as she was the only waitress there at the time. We've been to this place a few times but today was by far the WORST experience ever. It was very crowded for a Sunday and they had one cook. I should have know something was not right when people who had put orders in and left prior to the order coming out. We were in there for well over an hour and didn't receive any food. This place is a cute lil cafe with friendly attentive staff. Locals come to this place that maybe has seating for around 25 people. I had the french toast, sausage and scrambled eggs. My husband had the same except for over easy eggs. We both enjoyed our meal. I gave it four starts because the French Toast was dense more than moist. Other than that it was all great. mom's kitchen, OR coast. I've been alive for 50+ years & have never been treated so poorly a food establishment. Service was extremely disappointing, lacking on so many levels. I'm being generous, service at best was a D-!! Good customer service is not their goal/priority. A tiny 20 seat cafe & miserably HOT inside, with no ventilation. Pitiful service from the get-go from both the waitresses. They were rude, ignoring us, unprofessional attitudes, condescending when taking our order & when I tried asking questions. No eye contact or pleasant greeting, no smile. The old one had a dark, cold as ice personalities. Took 50+ mins to get our food, the serve's never came by once to let us know that our order was delayed, just left us sitting there wondering. I had to finally ask if our order was coming up:(. Also seemed as if they were rationing water, giving us tiny water glasses & never coming back to refill, in a stinking hot cafe, until I asked. They passed by us many times & never a word or water fill up, but took time out to chitchat with each other. Other patrons were equally irritated. The cafe was stinking HOT inside. . The only thing that was even simi decent about the experience was the food, being generous here, was a B! Kudos to the cook he was working his hiny off. Surprised they're still in business. So good! Great, friendly service. All the food was delish and not long of a wait even though busy. Definitely diner food and seating. It's kind of a tight space and parking is primarily along side road with steep hill. We will go back for sure next time we're in Coos Bay. read more
