I had heard this was a "must try" when I visited Washington. Stopped in for their famous cheese biscuits and it did not disappoint. Also tried a sausage wrap as well. Service was friendly, fast and fresh! The biscuit melted in my mouth and was delicious. So glad I was able to try this staple!

A great little local local restaurant only has four seats combination mini mart bodega and restaurant. Food was excellent.

I stumbled along this place just passing through. I happen to be scrolling through Yelp looking for breakfast somewhere. I was road tripping but unfortunately they were not a lot of great reviews for places along these country roads. As they drove by this place caught my attention and I wanted to see just outta curiosity what reviews were written. To my surprise this place is a big deal for their biscuits. I made a U turn, parked and went inside. Yes this is an old repurchased gas station/grocery store/stopping point for locals to buy lottery tickets and beer. I told the lady behind the counter people are talking about how good the biscuits are and she said try one you will see. I had missed the breakfast rush by a couple of hours and they still had a few biscuits on hand. She added a slice of ham to this buttery, cheesy biscuit. The photos just don't do this buiscuit justice! This was a good biscuit, she offered me a second but I really didn't have room, it was filling. Biscuits are a big deal and I really enjoyed it. If I have the chance to pass through in the future I will definitely stop off. Unfortunately for me it's not very easy to get too because it's off the major highways connecting Virginia and North Carolina.

Went to Mom's this morning to grab some breakfast. This place is nothing to write home about. It is an old gas station converted into a small store/cafe'. Mostly set up for take away but they do have a few tables for indoor seating. The breakfast is comparable to other places in town but what sets it apart is the cheesy biscuits. It was one of the best I've had. I would recommend giving this place a try just for the biscuits.

Sometimes when you read about or hear about an iconic "hole-in-the-wall" eating establishment, you just know that it's only a matter of time before you show up there - so it was with Mom's. We were in the area last week for a forgettable night in Greenville, and decide to try for a foodie save by sliding down to "little" Washington for a trifecta of non-fine dining - Mom's, Bills, & King's - all the artery clogging food groups within a 3 miles radius! Mom's is a very small, very dated grill in a weary looking convenience store, and it is renown for its biscuits - especially its Cheese Biscuits, an Eastern NC regional favorite - though the concept has drifted west as far as Chapel Hill (Time Out, Sunrise), and probably farther! The ordering flow here is more than a little chaotic, no orderly line, no rhyme or reason, all orders are given verbally, and transmitted verbally to a largely unseen kitchen group, and called out verbally when ready- so remember what you ordered!. You pay at the front counter, where a little more confusion is inevitable. You take your score outside, there is no seating. We ordered a plain biscuit, a Cheese Biscuit, and a Bacon, Egg, & Cheese Biscuit, and the order was delivered intact. I had been aware that some found the Cheese Biscuit more than a little heavy on the cheese, and this was a bit of an understatement - the cheese crushed the biscuit, a bite or two was plenty - acquired taste I'd guess! The Bacon, Egg, & Cheese Biscuit was huge, greasy, and delicious - but even here I'd ask them to go lite on the cheese - and you're eating in your car more than likely, so cover your front. The plain biscuit was excellent, simply adorned with packaged jelly and a form of butter. Enjoyed the experience, but a repeat does seem likely!

Stop get a biisguiiit and compare to anywhere. Photos are of bacon 2 egg and cheese. It is takeaway and I had to walk the dog before I could eat it I think the cheese is very mild cheddar. Yes it was good. Yes I will return n eat one warm.. located up from Frank's.

Everyone in Washington knows that Mom's Grill has the BEST cheese biscuits. Every other restaurant just tries and fails.

Didn't know that a bacon, egg, and cheese biscuit could be that much better than what you typically find.

River Walk Coffee

River Walk Coffee is a cute little shop on bridge street, with painted windows and art displayed in…read morethe building, what could go wrong! While it's cute, I think it may be to make up for what it lacks in coffee and service. I stopped here because my go to shop is closed on Sunday, and this morning I was desperate for caffiene. I ordered the coastal caramel breeze, which would be good if it were not just flavored milk. I ended up getting three shots of espresso added because it just lacked any taste of coffee. I say this not in a rude way but just to let others know if you actually want coffee taste, it's gonna come at a price. I had been there before with a friend who told me he had ordered us extra shots because of this same reason. Service, well, it's kind of obvious they surely don't believe in "customer is always right". I worked in good service before and I 100% get being stressed, however, my shift would have gotten written up or fired if we handled a full lobby this way. I walk in and no one greets me, which I see they're kind of busy so it doesn't bother me. But as other customers walk in it's the same pattern. I go to order and try to ask how the barista is, I'm cut off with asking for my order. Again they're busy so I try to give them the benefit of doubt. I order, I pay, whatever. While waiting I see another lady also waiting on something, with a coffee drank part of the way, iced down the rest, but she seems a little irritated. She politely went up and asked if they had made her sandwich she ordered half an hour ago, and if not she just was ready to go. Before she finished that sentence she was cut off and asked "well did you get a bagel or biscuit??" Tone was a little too off in my opinion. The customer sweet as ever says "oh I'm not sure I specified." Which leads me to believe she didn't know. Well barista stops acknowledging her, walks to the back and asks about it, with again that same rude tone, to be met with "it just came out, like I just bagged it" anyway customer gets it and then is told "it's on a biscuit by the way". I will say, I find it kind of odd to not make sure the customer was okay with said item. I receive my drink, tell them have a good day and leave. The drink despite having three shots is still pretty milky. Closing statement, this was a desperate stop since it's the only coffee shop open on Sunday, but next time I think it would save me time and money just to stop at the gas station and get a drink there. I would hope for change but I only ever see the owner argue with reviews rather than try and listen and grow from them.

I had just left an adult family pajama party and I got a little lit. I ordered my usual, Texas bacon cheesesteak melt with hashbrowns and orange juice. Then I proceeded to use the restroom. I planned to do so first but was occupied. I decided to sit at the bar as I came solo. When I returned from the restroom, my OJ was ready in a plastic cup. I noticed most of the staff i holiday attire. The exception was my server who was in typically Waffle House attire. My Server assumed I was ordering to go. I noticed the cook putting my order in a to go tray and I asked a different server if I could eat here and she said yes. By the time it was all said and done, my food was already packaged up. I sat inside and ate. My food was ready within 5 minutes. Joshua was the cook. Around 2:50pm, I ordered a waffle lol. By this time, it was just me in there. I bought some Touch Tunes credits and was vibing. ---- I went back the next day (Christmas) around 12:20pm as they were really the only place open. It was really busy. Luckily, there were two seats at the bar for my son and I. Our waitress was Lakeland (maybe spelled incorrectly) Around 12:25pm, I went ahead and ordered my son food. He got a kids waffle with peanut butter and chocolate chips plus bacon. At 12:27pm, I ordered my food. I got the all star with hashbrowns, blueberry waffle, and bacon. My son received his food at 12:30pm. The bacon looked perfectly crispy while his waffle was over cooked. I received my food at 12:38pm. Not gonna lie, I was initially concerned about my waffle because it looked like mold lol. BUT, it tasted fine lol. The Bacon was crispy and delicious. The toast was great as well. Another good experience!
