Momo is one of our favorite restaurants. Armando is the best waiter, very attentive and personable, he takes time to get to know your name and a little about you. We were seated near a window so it was brighter, which we enjoyed. A little loud as we were near the Tepanyaki tables. The food was fabulous. Tuna tacos were bursting with flavor and filling. A touch of spice, tuna, cilantro, aoli inside a crunchy shell. The yakisoba also had a delicious sauce and tasty noodles with chicken and beef slices that were cooked perfectly. The fried chicken we did not care for at all. It was dry and cooked to crispy with no flavor. The spicy chicken was sweet and a little spicy with good flavor. Broccoli beef with fried rice was another delicious dish, tender meat, fresh vegetables tossed in a light sauce. The Ikura (caviar) Nigiri was surprisingly good. Eggs slightly larger, not too salty. Complimented by rice and seaweed dipped in a little citrus soy sauce, the flavors just melded and became a nice smooth bite in my mouth. Green curry with vegetables- I requested no eggplant, as I know it normally is filled with that. The chef himself came out to serve it to me. Dessert was also terrible. Honestly for an all inclusive this is expected but fast food and chain restaurants taste so much better. Wow! Momo is phenomenal! The ambience here is fun and exciting. The tempenyaki service is so fun! And the table service is wonderful too. Armando is absolutely amazing and will take the best care of you!! He is the best waiter ever!! His other waiter Armelio who was assisting him was great too. Great ambiance and great service in an all inclusive resort. It is a must go spot! Sashimi was the best out of all the options. They have dim sum, Thai food (pad Thai, green curry), sushi. We just ordered the salmon and blue fin tuna and my it was delicious. We ordered second round then we ordered third round. Very fresh seafood in my opinion. No reservations needed. Basically it's Panda Express. We pretty much ordered the whole menu and like the other places at this resort, they give you tiny small "tapas" portions. Food was good, but nothing spectacular. The Ikura was good, the Thai green curry was ok, but really spicy, and the schezuan pork was decent. Pad Thai was ok, but tasted nothing like pad thai. Sushi was decent, but obviously can't compare to legit Japanese sushi places. I'd stay away from the buns and potstickers, they weren't that good. Drinks were really watered down. Dessert was really tasty. Service again, like all of the other restaurants we have been to, was exceptional. All of the servers and waiters were friendly and were working really hard. Guess it's a good place to try if you're hungry and craving some Asian food. If you're staying at the resort, obviously try it out. read more

Good First of all, getting reservations is hard, so call ahead and cross your fingers. This seems to be everyone's favorite spot in sunrise. They have two sides, one ala carte sushi and teppanyaki. We did the teppanyaki. The chef did a good job. What you would expect from any tepan style show. My date and I happen to order wagyu steak which is not served on the tepan grill. They serve with its own plate with hot stone. Quality was not great as I had some chewy gristle in my cut of steak. Drink service was slow. Rice and veggies were good. I think I would recommend it, maybe we had a bad experience with service and cut of steak, but the food was mostly good. Not amazing like everyone I spoke to. What a fun little spot for Asian food inside of Moon Palace - we were all inclusive so I have to say I am so happy the portion sizes of everything are smaller so you can try more and stay satisfied. You need a reservation at Momo for the Hibachi portion of this restaurant. They start taking reservations at 4:45pm so you need to go stand in line. You can't call unless you're a diamond member. We went early at 4:30pm and there was already a line. We had 10 in our party so we took up most of the table. It's typical hibachi and our chef was very entertaining. The food was good but I enjoyed the dessert the most! It was french toast with apples and ice cream (I liked it better than my meal!) I'd recommend this as it is one of the better restaurants at Moon Palace Sunrise. Just make sure you plan to go early to get your reservations. read more

A-OK, yea that described my experience at this restaurant. No reservations needed. It's right in front of the Club in Sunrise. Very very gorgeous decor. Dim lighting. Came here twice, one day after another. The first experience was grand. We went in around 10:30 pm. Restaurant was empty so that explains the impeccable service and no wait time on the food. When we came this night we received two free plates of appetizers. They had about 5 different things. Also with accompanied with the trio of sauces. The second experience was horrid. Service was terrible and food took forever. I've tried the miso soup tempura udon, and chicken and beef hibachi entree with a side of rice. The miso soup the first day was super salty. The second day it was much better but no tofu. The tempura udon was really good, those noodles are thick but they hold so much flavor. The sauce was delicious oh em gee, that would be good with some steamed dumplings. It was sweet yet savory. The tempura shrimp on top of the udon was alright, over cooked and was not deveined so it grossed me out. For dessert I enjoyed the lychee ice cream that comes with the coffee jelly. Yum it was so fresh and refreshing. It is served in a martini glass with some coffee. The jelly I didn't care for. All in all an OK kind of place. It would be 5 stars if it was consistent. read more

The twirling and flipping of knives is really fun to watch. Watching the chefs cook is neat, too. We were given sushi, and miso or sweet and sour soup for starters. You choose your meats....the typical and octopus and calamari. I like octopus and it was very good. Comes with stir fry veggies and rice. This is probably the worst place I've ever had in my life. The service was awful. The sushi was frozen until served so it had a nasty fish taste to it. The rolls were the only descent thing. The miso soup was so salty. It took about 20 minutes for each dish to come out. It was just an awful experience. Do not recommend this place ever. You won't miss out. read more

My family and I went back to Momo because of the excellent meal we had last year, in January 2018. We went back yesterday and were dissatisfied with the new menu that changed a week ago. There's no longer salad offered with ginger dressing, and the menu has drastically decreased. We sat tepenyaki again, and the show was not comparable to last years, it was underwhelming. As well, we asked for our chicken to be cooked away from fish and this request was ignored. Only reason the 4 stars is the food was still great (despite the disappointing change of menu), and the desert was fantastic. Service otherwise was great. Love that you can call and reserve a table instead of needing to wait in line. This is a great improvement. Will definitely go back. I do hope the menu changes back as the food was, and still is, great. read more

I appreciated the end of the main course cooking Chef Carlos saved a small portion of the meats and asked if anyone would like to taste the other meats. The servers were always there to fill or replace drinks and removed finished plates. All of them were great and made this teppanyaki experience great. Make a reservation at 5 to see a show... the place opens at 6pm ..we had reservations for 9pm because we were a party of 16 and got in line at 530! They seated us rather quickly and on time. The service was OK (a bit slow and they hesitated on giving me extra ginger! ) The food was alright. The chicken skewer on the appetizer was delicious but cold. The salmon sashimi was warm and definitely not good. My cousin enjoyed the deep fried ice cream The ahi tuna sashimi was fresh and smooth. Yum. The edamame was basic. Can't go wrong here. The sushi was good (not the best but decent.) The Miso soup had butter in it and was almost inedible for me as I don't like over saturation. I ordered the chicken and salmon for teppinyaki. Both came out super dry and overcooked even though the chef used a ton of butter! My cousin ordered the beef and said it was chewy ( a lot of fat on it) and the shrimp was basic; nothing to brag about. The vegetables were alright.. a little oily. Lacked flavor overall.
