I would come back for these. Someone next to us also ordered them. Now I did still want to try their traditional dishes so we split Xaio Long Baos which were really good soup dumplings. They were fresh and tasty. I also got a general gau chicken which I know is more Americanized Chinese food but got it since it was offered as a plate with rice. It was tasty, a little spicy and a large portion--I had leftovers. I would like to come back to try more of their authentic dishes as the food was of high quality and it was busy inside so that's a good sign! I wasn't super impressed during my latest visit to Dynasty... I had dined here once before ~2 years…read moreago for a special event and really enjoyed my experience so the expectations were maybe too high. First of all, the arrangement they had for queueing for tables was a bit confusing and unclear. We were given a slip of a paper with a number on it, which the hostess eventually called out after about 10 minutes. I wish they had a more seamless system for handling this (in an app or taking phone numbers instead). We ordered lots of dishes to share.. pineapple buns with roast pork, the viral crab rangoon scallion pancake, soup dumplings, rice rolls with ribs, etc. The standout for me was definitely the crab rangoon scallion pancakes. I 100% get the hype! It's ooey and gooey and perfect for any crab rangoon lover. I was however pretty disappointed in the pineapple buns (one of my favorite dishes) and soup dumplings, which honestly just tasted like they were frozen and reheated from the grocery store. The service was also very absent and it took awhile for us to wave someone down so we could pay our bill. Not sure if we visited on an off day or something, but I wasn't very impressed.

We ordered a California roll, the Tuna Thunder roll, Shanghai dumplings, orange chicken with pork fried rice, egg drop soup, and pepper steak with onions with white rice. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and cooked really well. The portions were huge for the price, which was a pleasant surprise. The restaurant itself has a great vibe -- very clean, neatly decorated, and the little waterfall feature added such a calming touch. It made the whole meal feel extra relaxing. The only downside was the orange chicken -- it had actual orange peels in it, and they were burnt, which threw the flavor off. Everything else was fantastic though, and absolutely worth ordering again. The staff was incredibly kind and accommodating, especially since we had our 13-week-old daughter with us. Great service, great food (with one small hiccup), and a lovely atmosphere. We'll definitely be back!

Hibachi - rice was underwhelming, under seasoned, and under cooked. Noodles - non existent. The portion for 4 of us was equivalent to one anywhere else. Steak was good. Chicken was ok. This was a thoroughly frustrating dim sum experience at New Windsor Dim Sum…read more I came in dining solo and still ran into a major problem right out of the gate: they were out of a long list of items. At a dim sum restaurant, that guts the entire point of being there. Instead of ordering what I wanted, I was left picking from what happened to still be available, which is not how this cuisine is supposed to work. The food itself did nothing to redeem the situation. Dumplings were dull and lifeless, with uneven textures and no real depth of flavor. Nothing tasted freshly made or particularly cared for. Even the tea was bad. Not weak, not average, but actively disappointing. Essentially hot water with barely any tea leaves. This is not a new place working out kinks. It has been around for years, which makes the lack of execution harder to excuse. At best, this felt like a restaurant coasting on inertia. I left wishing I had gone elsewhere. One final note: as others have mentioned, this restaurant is cash only, which would be fine if the experience justified the inconvenience. It did not.

I've been looking forward to trying Darling for a while, and I see why everyone is raving about it!…read moreThey had an interesting and varied drink menu, with combinations and ingredients I hadn't seen before. It was hard to choose one, but I got the A Perfect Circle and it was quite tasty. I'm eager to try some of their other drinks, since the cocktails were definitely the highlight of the experience for me. The dim sum portions were larger than I expected, which meant we ordered way too much food. We had the fried chicken, the cucumber salad, the shrimp, the pork wontons, the soy sauce noodles, the daikon/enoki dish (I forget the name) and the charred broccoli. There wasn't anything I didn't like, but I did find that the flavor profile seemed very similar for many of the items--it seemed like most things were topped with a generous portion of chili oil, scallions, and sesame seeds. I found that this contributed to a fairly uniform flavor experience and was getting a little weary of chili oil after several dishes. The food was also spicier than I anticipated (though to be fair, I have a low spice tolerance, so others might disagree.) I would have enjoyed some less spicy options to balance out our meal. Overall, all the food was good, though, but I think if I come back I'd get fewer items (3-4 would have been plenty for 2 people) and that might also help with everything blurring together. The service was great and our waitstaff was helpful and attentive.

The focus here is ramen, with a small lineup of appetizers and a surprisingly good selection of sakes by the glass or bottle (not just the little cans you see elsewhere). We started with the salted potatoes and then moved on to ramens, which was rich, comforting, and exactly what you want on a cold night. And a BIG portion. They can prepare many items gluten free, and if you're unsure about your spice tolerance, you can get the chili oil on the side, which is a nice touch. This was what ramen was made for. I walked in feeling (and looking) like Jack Frost. Only the brave were venturing about, so the restaurant was minimally packed and we were seated immediately. Szechuan cauliflower? Yes please. I would come back here for that cauliflower alone and order three servings of it. It was perfectly crispy and smothered in spicy sauce. The miso ramen broth was flavorful and spicy. Just what I was looking for. They used brown rice noodles which had a consistency that I would describe as slightly clumpy and with a different taste than traditional noodles. The rest of the toppings were as expected. The interior was very well decorated and felt upscale. It was a nice experience dining here.
