The restaurant has a large number of Indian and Indo-Chinese dishes. We ordered one order of Spring rolls, Vegetable Hakka Chowmein, Schezwan Noodles with vegetables and Paneer Chili. The order was ready in 15-20 minutes. The food was fantastic! Both the noodle dishes were perfect, and the Spring rolls crisp and warm. The paneer chili could have been better but was okay. Overall, a great experience in take out. Would totally recommend this place for some amazing India style Chinese food!

They had a small bar too but we didn't order drinks. I was highly impressed with this place and would definitely eat here again if in the area.

We ordered 4 dishes which was good for 6 people, so their portion size is pretty good! :: classic veg fried rice with medium spice - it was perfectly spiced, the veggies were cooked to perfection, and the rice had a really good flavour. :: manchurian veg - paired very well with the veg fried rice, it was super flavourful and soft. :: szechuan paneer - compared to all the other meals, this one was not as good but it was decent. I feel like the paneer could have been a bit more crispier and maybe smaller insize. It wasn't very well marinated and so the masala wasn't soaked into the paneer. :: manchurian chicken - this was excellent! pretty spicy and well cooked. Next time I would love to go by in-person and try some of their other items, I'm pretty sure it would taste good when it's freshly prepared!

The only reason I can think of (The reason why I gave 4 and not 5) is probably because they put the cheapest cut of chicken in their dishes (breast pieces) and charge the market rate. So I felt the pieces tasted bland. But overall the dish was very tasty. These guys deserve more than what their rating is on Skip. Kudos to the chef!! But if you claim to be a Nepali restaurant how can you make Thupka so wrong. The broth was pretty dead. The momo were also very average. I am sure a restaurant doesn't have a 4.5+ rating by accident so my best guess is that food quality may have declined in recent years. On the contrary the service is really top notch. Well greeted and well care for. The problem is in the kitchen. Please review the cuisine. For the Momo's, I did not love the fried version and should have gone with steamed instead. The flavors overall felt very authentic and the place still has that mom and pop feel, which is nice. Full Review: I noticed today that Heaven and Earth was open for lunch. I recently started working in the neighborhood and had never seen it open for lunch. I had wanted to try this place since I started but it didn't open until 5PM and by that time I would be finishing work and thinking about heading home or blading on the seawall or something.... But the $6.99 lunch ticket was too tempting and since I needed to buy my lunch today anyway, I stepped inside. When I first walked through the door I noticed the sign that stated, "Under New Management" and the first thought that crossed my mind was that I wouldn't be able to experience the warm hospitality of the people who operated it before now. I had heard good things about the food at this restaurant. What was I to expect? Then it dawned on me! I am likely the first Yelper to write about this place! New management = new restaurant. Right? I had looked through the windows of the restaurant as I walked by and was never quite sure about the decor, but when I walked through the door for the first time my first impression was country western saloon meets boathouse on the lake. Ya! It really is like that... I was greeted by a broadly smiling man in a turban. He informed me that their lunch special was over at 2:30 but that he would still honour the special. Cool! These might not be the old owners I'd heard about, but so far the hospitality was feeling pretty warm. I asked if I could get take out..."No problem" he said with a smile. The warm hospitality lived on! I ordered a chickpea dish from the Vegetarian section of the menu for $6.99. I think it was Chana masala, but I've had and prepared that dish before and it's much dryer than what I got. What I got was more like a soup with chickpeas. Actually, what I got was a large round aluminum container (2 - 3 cups) of chickpea soup, a separate container with a little more than a cup of perfectly cooked basmati rice and a piece of nann bread wrapped in tin foil. The bill came to $8 and change. I gave him $10, told him to keep it and rushed back to work and my desk to eat. The smells coming from the bag bombarded my senses with the menagerie of spices that makes up Indian cooking. Unfortunately, when I sat down at my desk the reality of doing a "working lunch" hit home as I was called away from my desk. By the time I got back to my lunch the bread had probably sat too long in the foil wrapper and the chickpeas were probably below optimum serving temperature, but nevertheless, the soupy sauce surrounding my chickpeas was popping with flavour and after sampling a spoonful of the nearly perfect rice, I deposited the contents of my rice container into my chickpea container. Now I had the perfect filling to spoon into the torn-off pieces of Nann bread. I wasn't interrupted for the rest of my lunch and I can honestly say I enjoyed each bite. At the time I ordered I was asked how spicy I wanted my dish and I said "hot". They could have been a bit heavier-handed with the heat, but I really can't complain. The meal was delicious and after finishing everything, I felt quite content. I probably could have saved some and still been satisfied. All I can say at this point is I'm looking forward to returning and trying other things on their menu. I think the next time I go I will dine in. Most of the lunch special vegetarian dishes are priced at $6.99. Butter Chicken is $8 + change. ***Update! I went back today and tried the Butter Chicken; my friend had the Baby eggplant in butter sauce (which is really just the butter chicken sauce). We were both very happy with our meals. My friend's Baby eggplant actually looks more intriguing than my Butter Chicken. I think that dish will be the next on my list because she really enjoyed hers. Oh! And the warm hospitality just keeps getting warmer. I tried to pay with debit today, but his machine wont be installed until later today. He told me to take the food and come back later to pay. How cool is that?

The new owners seemed friendly enough, but for those of you who are accustomed to the former chef's quality, you will be sadly disappointed. I ordered butter chicken and lamb rogan josh to go. Both curries were watery with no substance, similar to fast food curry. Not the rich, complex, decadent curries of the past. The papadams were plain, and the naan paper thin. Sure, it's cheaper now, but I guess you get what you pay for. Also, bring cash as they are not set up for credit cards.
