Momma's has added fried chicken to the menu! Wings plus bone-in dark meat. Also french fries. Chicken is cooked to order, so it's best to call as it takes 10+ minutes to prepare. Same friendly, helpful folks. NOTE: Cash only. No doubt: the best BBQ in the South Haven area, and 5-10 minute drive from downtown. If you want something from the BBQ menu, call ahead as they some times run out. Go getcha some!!! read more

Awesome. Friendly. Great zesty taste of the pulled pork. Don't hesitate to just go and visit them read more

Best Rib Tips in Mi. The bbq sauce is amazing. It is worth the hour drive from GR. It is only open seasonally and I can't find anything that lives up to it all winter long and I have tried. See you next spring Larry! read more

Great pop up food stand. Father in law has to have it every time he visits!! He loves the riblets and bbq pork sandwiches. Good portions. Locally made. Good flavor. I think we have tried most everything on the menu. Happy with it all. Great place to grab grub off the strip. read more

This is a mouthwatering treat! The best of the best! I found them at a location out of town then found their real truck! They are so accommodating and nice to interact with! Go early or some of the delicious goodies are sold out! read more

While staying at the Jellystone Campground down the road, we bought food from here TWICE! It was absolutely delicious- we had rib tips, chicken and pulled pork sandwiches. Met Larry and one of his daughters- they were quick with service, extremely courteous. This is some of the best smoked BBQ I have had- Larry has 30 years of experience and it shows. Cash only, but there is an ATM across the street at the convenience store. read more

Overall a very good choice for bbq. Sauce is amazing. Had the rib tips and they were delicious. Hard working man running the place too. Only down side is I wish there was Brisket on the Menu. Can't have bbq without brisket. It's just pork and chicken. But all in all, great bbq choice in the area. read more

Momma's TJM's Barbecue - Bbq Food truck - Barbeque Near Me - South Haven, Michigan

Service was slow. But they were very busy. Food was good. And the prices were fair. Kind of has a funky country decor. Cute place.

Excellent food at a great price. I think the food I've had in South Haven, up to this point, has been pretty underwhelming. This was the best food I've had in the 5 times I have been out here. Very impressed. read more

Ribs were a little underdone. Sauce was super smoky. Not bad, but not that great. Greens were ok until I got to the watery half of the cup. Then they tasted like water. Should have been drained better. Mac & Cheese was blase. Overall it wasn't that great, though the truck itself and the people were nice. read more

Was excited to see this Barbecue food truck close by the highway and the reviews were good. I wanted to pick up something quick but didn't want a Fast Food Drive-Thru. This place is cash only so make sure that you have that. I had to go to the ATM and come back. I received fast friendly service. For $12 I got a rib tip dinner with a side of baked beans and potato salad. Nice portions for the price. The meat was seasoned well and the sauce was good. Unfortunately, my meat was tough. I maybe had 2 tender pieces out of the whole dinner. I really wish that wasn't the case as the customer service was very good. I'm hoping that today was an off day. I'd give this place another chance. read more

We've enjoyed the BBQ for many years in both locations. This the BEST...every time! Highly recommend! read more

This fellow smokes his own meat right there. Amazing prices, you must get the slab, and at minimum the pulled.pork. But a small won't satisfy, so go big. I respect the smaller businesses as they give that extra personal touch. You get that here. If you go to the beach in South Haven, take the 8 minutes to drive to this small, hometown gem. You wont regret it. read more

Delicious barbecue, love the mac & cheese as well. I had to google just to see where they had gone, thank goodness they just moved locations. read more

I have been living my life all wrong, TJM Barbecue showed me the path to a happier life, via rib tips. I was hungry and had been riding my motorcycle all day, and I'd seen the BBQ trailer parked there before but hadn't stopped before; big mistake. At first I ordered the 3 piece dark chicken but as it was already 3:30pm and that's one of the hot sellers, I then chose the rib tips. Since I had dinner to go to later I got the 'small' order and let me tell you: There is nothing small about the 'small' order of rib tips! So much experience was evident in that perfectly seasoned, masterfully smoked rib that it left me questioning my life, that I had not stopped here before. For my sides I got the cole slaw and greens, both were superb. Chatting with the master of pork himself, I had a great conversation with Larry and will never, ever, pass that BBQ trailer again. read more

This place deserves 0 stars. We went last night and the service was horrible. We paid $25 for a slab of ribs that were inedible. They were so fatty and disgusting. The pork sandwiches weren't good either. Plus we paid for multiple sides but didn't receive half of them. read more

My family and I vacationed in South Haven the weekend of October 4 for my mom's 75th birthday. It was late in the evening and he had closed up shop for the day. The owner left his house and opened up and prepared delicious ribs, greens and other dishes for my family. Awesome food and generous act of kindness... Darryl from Illinois read more

Right off the highway. Pulled pork was awesome! Inexpensive and toooo good! The grills are right outside & the food tasted homemade. We were getting a fast food snack but glad we ran into this place. He said he has been there for 27 years! Sweet man, it was hot out today & it would been hot in the truck but he still smiled! Would totally recommend it! Will go back if we pass by again, or maybe we'll just pass by on purpose! Tips accepted.Pulled Pork Sandwich read more

In the world of BBQ, Momma's reigns supreme. Baby back ribs are smokin' good. The pulled pork sandwich comes in two sizes and is TASTY! Only three sides are available (beans, coleslaw, and potato salad) but that leaves more room for BBQ goodness! Sauce tops off a great place to grab some really good food. A must have in South Haven! read more

This place is great. We went there for lunch and it was amazing. Pulled pork that had sauce on it. The sides are a little small but just get more because they are cheap. read more

Oh. My. Gosh. I went here after a long hike and the smell pulling in was enough to tell me exactly what I was about to experience. We ordered small pulled pork sandwiches and the ribs dinner with sides of smoked corn cob, greens, Mac n cheese, coleslaw, and beans. The pulled pork was PERFECT- flavorful, moist, and not dry at all. I wish I would've ordered a large because it was so good. The corn was smoked and the flavor was awesome!! Super smoky and I didn't even need to add anything. The ribs are not the fall of the bone kind but more of that chewy style but super moist, flavorful, and tender. Definitely some of the best ribs I've ever had. All of the sides were great as well. It was super cheap and we will definitely be back to try the chicken and rib tips. A must try for sure!!!! read more

We spend our summers in South Haven and I've been eating TJM's barbecue and loving it! On August 13, 2016 we hire them for our BBQ before the wedding party of 120 and they did a great job for us. They've been on time, well organized, set it all up, served our guests delicious, tangy pulled pork sandwiches; chicken; baked beens and cole-slow - our guests loved the food and we even had some leftovers. Thank you, Larry and team for a job well done!!! read more

Ordered out from here tonight...food was excellent. They could really stand to post their website or MENU at least to increase sales because the food is definitely not the problem. This was our 1st time here & will definitely return especially now that I have a paper menu. They sell all kinds of meat: ribs, rib tips, chicken, burgers, brats, pulled pork, etc. The sides they offer are Cole slaw, collard greens, baked beans and mac&cheese. They don't sell pop & could stand to sell a few more sides like fried okra, corn & fries. The owner is very friendly & definitely knows how to BBQ. I wish this place a lot of good luck & hope they remain in business for many years. read more
