We enjoyed our conversation with our waiter Paul, who "grabbed" us from the Main Street. He was quite pleasant. So even we got a bit ripped up, we would feel it s fine and it was part of traveling experience and something to look back and laughable. Lol! The octopus was good, fresh n flavorful. Charming little place nestled in a side street of the main Baixa area; I was here on a Friday and I seemed to be the only foreign tourist here. Staff speaks English reasonably well and are courteous and efficient. Cash only, no WiFi. Fairly simple dishes, well-prepared. I had the grilled cod; a bit salty for my taste but good overall. The couvert, consisting of bread, olives, and olive oil, was good. I especially liked the olive oil. Try some Portuguese wines via the "Vinho Verde" section. Bathrooms: Clean and functional. AVOID this restaurant. I asked two people when I came in if they take American Express. They said yes. Afterwards they stated Only Cash. Well I don't have any Euros, I am leaving tomarrow. Wish we could have eaten there. Walked in to empty restaurant and asked for party of 8. Staff asked if we had reservations and acted like they couldn't accommodate. Finally started to collaborate and figure out where to seat us. We left and ate greasy over priced food next door. read more

I wish I could leave 0 stars if I could .. the staff was extremely welcoming at first to get you in. They give you bread that "you can eat if you're tempted to" that you'll have to pay for. The food came out late, the cod had bones in every bite, and they won't tell you that it's cash only until the end of the meal. When asking another waiter if card was accepted, he said it was fine but the man running the restaurant insisted that it's cash only and pretty much made a scene in front of the whole restaurant that I was "angry" when I was asking why I'm getting two different answers. I would never recommend this restaurant. They overcharge for mediocre food and horrible service. It's a scam. read more

Absolutely loved this restaurant! From the parsley soup, to the fish dishes everything was absolutely delicious!! As if Moma was in the kitchen making it herself... And i believe she was!! Moma is a gem! Yes, it's in a touristy part of town but this restaurant is charming, the staff was very friendly and the food was amazing! I needed gluten free and they were extreme knowledgeable to the point I let them put together a meal for me and it was delicious! I had the special of the day grouper with sautéed greens and a side salad. My friend had grilled octopus. Both of us were very pleased with our meals. The olives they give you at the beginning were so good. We still don't understand how these simple olives were so delicious. We almost asked for more. Truly some of the best food we have had while in Europe! We both had the "fresh pasta with salmon" which was a bowtie pasta with creamy sauce and cut up salmon and green onions on top. All I can say is wow! We were also given complimentary meringues which were very delicious as well! They have another location called Mona Grill which we will certainly be going to tonight! Scammers. They lied about credit card machine. Plus they overcharged unreasonably. Stay away from this place. Food was not good either.

Ridiculously overpriced, be careful when you order specials since the prices are not shown and it costed much more than the menu items. 100 euros for dinner for two (2 person entree, 2 appetizers, 2 beers, 2 waters). We ate in three other restaurants nearby where more food of the same quality or better costed half as much. One of the excellent ones in a sea of restaurants clamoring for your business. We were seated immediately, knowledgeable server gave us information on all specials. Had a rocket, feta salad that was excellent, then prawns with spaghetti which was light and delicious as well. Wine choices were great as were beer choices. Everything here is really fresh. The specials change every day. The menu is really limited which I like because to me it shows that they've chosen a few items to really focus on and do a great job on. I had the pasta with salmon and it was delicious. The fish was perfectly cooked and the pasta was very fresh. They have outdoor seating which is an added bonus. No reservations required. Keep in mind that they only serve lunch from 12-5 and if you go later a lot of the items may be sold out. This place gets fairly busy for lunch but not so busy that you wouldn't get a seat. First lunch in Lisbon. We stopped because we happened to be walking by. A few people had the caprese salad which was huge and very tasty. I tried a couple of the veal croquettes which were also yummy. My main was an aubergine penne pasta, and the others had a piri piri pasta dish. Everyone was very happy with what they ate.
