I called Moe because of a plumbing emergency with sewage leak in the crawlspace of my studio apartment. I was at a loss of what to do since a plumber had cleaned up some of the mess but I wasn't sure the issue was fully resolved, and I needed a professional I could trust to advise on next steps. I recently discovered a huge mold hole hidden under my kitchen cabinets. I found Mold Safe Solutions and gave them a call. Moe answered and was easy to talk to about the issue. He went out of his way to schedule an early morning inspection to fit my needs. Moe came by and was very detailed on what needed to be done and how much it would cost. After the walk through, I decided to hire them. A couple days after two technicians, Evan and Emmanuel, came and setup the containment tent/barrier and dehumidifier. This ran for 3 days. After the 3 days another technician named Ivan came to repair the cabinets. He did a wonderful job and my cabinets feel brand new! Overall, I was really impressed with everyone who worked with me. Moe was great at identifying areas where mold growth was likely and quickly developed a plan to remove, remediate, and reconstruct the area. He reasonably and intelligently described the possible cause and solution to the mold issue and was flexible enough to include some non-standard scope. He was surgical in scoping out the repair to keep costs down. Moe and the techs repaired both the interior and the exterior of the wall that was moist to prevent the issue from returning. They cleaned up their work area well (though I'd recommend tarping under soil piles next time) and the areas were restored well. Overall, great work. Moe and Mold Safe Solutions solved our problem of moisture getting inside a wall. We discovered a bulge in the drywall on an outside wall. When the drywall was removed, there was mold on the drywall and insulation. A new patio with tile was outside the wall and the grout from the tile was in the drip screed on the outside stucco wall and may have prevented water from exiting stucco. Moe at Mold Safe Solutions proposed a solution. Moe and technician Josh used plastic sheets to isolate that area of the room. They then removed the drywall on the inside and the stucco on the outside. The wall framing and remaining drywall was left for 2 days to dry with fans blowing. Then technicians Josh and Angel replaced the drywall and stucco. They matched the paint and returned the wall to its original appearance.The work area was cleaned up at the end of each day so there was as little disruption as possible.
