I found a thai restaurant near the beach. Located in a shopping area with tons of parking to choose from. There's patio seats out front by the water fountain. The restaurant has a tiki look, papaya station in the back as well. I must have been feeling homesick to order some sausage and sticky rice. My server was very nice and attentive. We saw Mojo Thai after not finding parking at the first restaurant, but what a great find this was! The place is clean and welcoming and we ordered lunch from a menu that had a large variety of Japanese and Thai dishes. The sushi and sashimi selection is amazing, hubs got the sashimi and miso soup for lunch and he enjoyed it very much. A quick word here, while the sashimi is beautifully presented, it's not a substantial lunch if you're hungry. They also offer Japanese dishes like teriyaki, tempura and yakisoba for a more filling meal. The Thai side has a variety of dishes like curries, salads, fried rice and pad Thai noodles, they even have a kids menu. I went with the basil chicken and it was one of the best basil chicken dishes I've had, either here or in Thailand, very flavorful with a delicious sauce. You can order the food to your preferred heat level and the staff is very helpful. This restaurant is nicely decorated and they know their way around good Thai food! Such a great find if you're in the mood for Thai and/ or sushi! My family and I came here for dinner on a Saturday afternoon without reservations. It wasn't very crowded, they have some outdoor seating and plenty of parking. We all enjoyed all of our meals, as they arrived fairly quickly after placing our order. We tried the beef thai fried rice (They give you a decent portion), green curry, mango tango sushi roll, and Massaman curry. For dessert we got the fried banana, not bad! All plenty and delicious! We had a nice booth table, our server was attentive and friendly. Restroom was small and clean. Atmosphere was casual, and loud. No complaints! Ordered sushi online for pick-up to go, and it was super easy. Really liked that I could pay when I arrived, and they gave me extra sauces just like I requested. I enjoyed that the menu offered tried and true favorites as well as some unique rolls that I had never heard of. The Hawaiian roll, while probably not my favorite, was fun and delicious to try with pineapple mixed in. My chicken Pad Thai was one of the best I've had with plenty of nice size pieces of tender chicken, the fresh roll, edamame and crab Rangoon appetizers were delish and not skimpy. Sushi rolls were beautifully presented and fresh. We also had a couple of desserts: tempura brownie with vanilla ice cream drizzled with chocolate and the little Thai donuts hot and fresh drizzled with icing and dusted with powdered sugar. Everything was super! The only thing I would change is to not sit by the front door during the summer. Hidden gem! Stopped here for a lunch during a Saturday farmers market. They were not too busy and the space is relatively small and darkish, like a Thai place should be! I had cashew nut chicken and it was AMAZING. I'm so happy with this meal! Perfect level of spice. The flavors were excellent and everything was cooked perfectly. Hubby had drunken noodles with beef and a spice level of 4 out of 4! The server asked at least twice if he was sure!!! He likes it hot and they did not disappoint. Pic shows Spicy Scallop Hand Roll, Salmon Nigiri, Spicy Salmon Hand Roll and Salmon Nigiri, all greasy and delicious. They also brew fresh hot Green tea which was fantastic! Service was perfect, there when you need them but not bothering you or in the way. This was our first time at Mojo but it definitely won't be out last. We've been here several times for lunch and Happy Hour. The Red Curry is always delicious!!! We tried the Panang Curry for the first time and were blown away!!! Ok! I remember this place being better somehow. Came here for the lunch special and tried the salmon/avocado roll and veggie pad thai. Somehow "veggie" means a ton of green and white onions with a few pieces of broccoli and green beans. The pad thai was good but a tad too sweet and saucy. The salmon roll was good, but not as fresh as I would have liked. The servers are nice enough, but it took a full 10 minutes just to get water. I've heard about this location for a while now! But I never had the time to stop by. The new norm for this restaurant begins with all employees wearing masks. Then each booth is separated by a plastic screen. I ordered from the lunch menu and had the Naples, and Boston roll. Wow! Super delicious and fresh tasting. We got masaman chicken curry in medium which was just the right amount of spice and was delicious! Then ordered Drunken Noodles with beef. The flavor was good but very greasy. The beef was like chewing on rubber bands. So tough.
