Happy we finally tried this spot! I had walked past 100 times and never stoped, until now. We were seated immediately and got a nice table right on the corner of 5th and Tamiami. Lots of people watching for sure! The restaurant is HUGE on the inside. We ordered a bottle of wine to share, a tuna roll, crab rangoon and a Thai sautee with basil sauce, chicken and white rice. Our server was nice and helpful when helping us decide which entree to order. The food came out perfectly timed and we enjoyed our time here. I'd say the flavors were good, but nothing super amazing. Love the food here. I've been coming for years. But just because they're located on fifth Avenue the prices are at least three dollars per roll compared to other locations. Although Aumm said it was a nice choice, I decided on the "Miami Heat," which contains Lobster Tempura, avocado, and cream cheese. It is topped with baked salmon, crunchy masago, and served with spicy mayo and eel sauce. Today, I was there for Happy Hour, so I took advantage of the $5.50 draft beer, steamed GyoZa for $4.99, and the Spicy Tuna Roll for $6.99 On my first visit, I ordered a hot red curry with white rice to go. I really enjoyed my last "happy hour miso soup" that I had few days ago at this restaurant and I was dreaming about it since then. However I wasn't really happy about the California roll I had, so today I ordered a J.B.roll and it was absolutely amazing: plenty of salmon , fresh cream cheese and beautiful serving. 2 of us ate around 5:30, it was quiet but it was during the superbowl so most folks were likely at sports bars and places with lots of TVs everywhere. They did put the game on in the restaurant. The food is good. The thai spring rolls were tasty and had a bit of a zip to them. The Udon noodles were great. The veggies were crips and plentiful and the flavor was fantastic. Huge portion. The Pad Thai combo was good. It had a bit of a tomato flavor which was not a favorite, but that is personal preference. Our server was prompt and efficient and everyone there greeted us warmly. The inside is quite ornamental, a little dark but twinkle lights and candles on the table warmed it up. Huge fish tank with social fish which was cool. I got the Age Tofu and a boat for one. The tofu was pretty good and the only good experience I had. The boat's sushi was disgusting and was comparable to gas station grade sushi. All of the raw fish was extremely chewy and inedible. The California rolls tasted funky, as did the Krab stick... Hopefully their other food is actually good. I did have to move myself to the bar because I was absolutely ignored when sat at a table because I was alone. Glad we didn't read the bs reviews before going today for lunch. Everything was extremely fresh, the ginger salad was literally the best I've ever tasted. Next I ordered the Big Daddy sushi roll, incredible Father's Day lunch my daughter picked my meal and this spot. Sushi Thai Too RUINED our Christmas! My family and I have gone out for sushi on Christmas night every year for the past 23 years (ever since our boys were 7 and 5). This year, our boys (now 30 and 28) were coming out to spend Christmas with us for the first time in 4 years so I made a reservation with Sushi Tai Too for a party of 5 at 7pm way back in November to make sure they were going to be open. But when we arrived, we were greeted with a sign on the door that stated "closed for renovation"! No call to let us know, no text notification, and we even received a confirmation by Open Table the day before stating that they are "looking forward to tomorrow's reservation" (see attachment). 5th avenue was absolutely packed, and we were unable to get into any other restaurant. My family and I had to return home to eat leftovers. The magnitude of inconsideration by this restaurant is mind blowing - to treat the very people that live and support (pay for) their monthly lease on one of the most prestigious downtown streets in the America is unacceptable. Subsequently, my NY's resolution will be to share my experience with at least 1 person in Naples each day for the entire month of January. Please join me in boycotting this restaurant to ensure that they close down by the end of the year, and be replaced by a restaurant that values their customers, and represents the class and integrity that we deserve to operate on our great 5th Avenue. read more

While walking around we found this place and Thai food sounded good! The first thing I noticed was the flashy bar and the fish tank. The dining room was simply decorated but I loved the purple napkins~loved them! We had two waitresses, one was excellent and the other one was in her own little world. I was on the fence between three and four stars but I realized there was more good than bad and I did like the food so four stars it is! I was thrilled when my salad finally arrived. It was so good and the ginger dressing was the best I ever had. Excellent. I went with the shrimp in garlic sauce. My husband and I stopped by for takeout. We were quoted about 10-20 min, but ended up waiting much longer than that. That's ok, it happens. When we finally got our food, I proceeded to open the bag. My sushi roll had a hair in it. Yuck. Then as I pulled out the kani salad from the bag, I discovered the whole salad on the bottom of the bag as it hadn't been sealed properly. Again, it happens. Literally some of the worst Thai food I have ever had the displeasure of eating. Shrimp was over cooked and the rice noodles were so over cooked they were melting. Don't waste your time or money. Services was mediocre at best. As a Naples native have been coming to this location since 2010. It has the BEST pad Thai hands down. Usually service is so/so. It is always busy but they do a good job of making sure you are seated in a reasonable amount of time. Tonight I ordered soup, the rainbow roll, and chicken pad Thai. The soup was amazing. The pad Thai was the same tasty dish that I am used to. However, upon eating the rainbow roll the first few pieces were fishy tasting. I ate a few more pieces hoping that it was just that cut of fish, but unfortunately it was not. When I brought this to the waiters attention he was dismayed that I left "only 3 pieces"...however in my defense I was trying to see if the roll would get better as I moved on to different types of fish. He again shook his head at me and stated again he would be taking the fish but "only 3 pieces left." No matter the issue, I would have expected more courtesy from the waiter at an establishment on 5th avenue. Instead of questioning and belittling me, he should have taken the plate of food. And apologized for my experience. He then proceeded to come to the table and he inform us that upon speaking to the chef, I should not order white fish next time. He said "if you can't handle it don't order the rainbow roll next time". After 12 years of business, I will be searching for a new favorite sushi place. read more

I only sampled a few menu items but I enjoyed them all: Salad with Ginger Dressing-good Spicy Tuna Roll-the minced tuna had the perfect amount of heat Jalapeño Hamachi-loved it! The hamachi was sliced perfectly thin and was absolutely delicious! Service was very pleasant and conscientious. One of the nice things about Sushi Thai Too is that it is on 5th Avenue but much more reasonable. It is a great alternative to some of the more exorbitant restaurants on the toney street.
