Emon's Thai Cafe is the real deal.... We decided to grab an early bite on a weekday... I was surprised to the dining room only having one table a couple tables available. We took a seat and the other table was filled moments later. Our server (also the one that gave us the table) asked about drinks and then disappeared for awhile. We started to notice she was the only server for the entire dining room; I have to assume they were short-staffed or maybe someone didn't show for their shift. I couldn't inquire because our waitress was always in a rush (understandably but it did affect the meal) but unfortunately it affected the meal because she wasn't annoyed or stressed (again, doesn't seem to be her fault but it did affect the meal). We started with a couple appetizers: * Thai Chicken Wings (Peek Gai Tod) - even though they are fried, they weren't heavy (very good) and loved the sweet thai chili dipping sauce * Fried Pork Dumplings - pretty good For our main dishes: * Thai Basil Sauce (Pad Kaprow) - Chicken, basil, onion, bell peppers, mushrooms and carrots sautéed with spicy thai basil chili sauce (wife loved her dish) * Pad Thai - This is my go-to dish and they didn't disappoint. A recent take out dinner here was delicious. After reading good reviews of the food, we had to try it and enjoyed our meal. Emon's is located in a mall area and parking can be crowded, but it's worth the visit! They have a nice area in front of the restaurant and lots of people were enjoying their dinner and the weather, while dining outside. They were busy inside too, but our order got put in fast. The menu has so many options it's hard to decide. They have a large selection of appetizers, soups, salads including spicy Thai salad, curries, stir fry's and noodle dishes like classic Pad Thai, plus a variety of chef specials. Hubs ordered the salmon with basil sauce, he loved it. My curry was spicy and very good. After eating here, it's easy to understand why Emon's gets so many rave reviews, they know how to prepare some very good Thai food. read more

I have a craving for a curry dinner. Wife suggested we visit Emon's Thai Café at the Green Tree Plaza by the corner of Airport Pulling and Immokalee. She said, "I think your friend, Paul K. like this place!" What, if Paul K. (The Foodie) likes that place, I can go wrong there!" We got in early so we were seated inside immediately without any problem. As we looking at the menu, the aromatic smelling from the Thai cooking permeated the air. I knew we are in the right place! To keep cool, I ordered a Sapporo beer. I was oscillating back and fore between Massaman or Panang Curry. Panang curry is richer, spicier with a prominent peanut taste while Massaman is milder, sweeter and mixed with a complex blend of spices like cardamom, cloves and cinnamon. The panang is cooked with peppers, onion and coconut milk whereas Massaman often includes potatoes and carrots. Finally, I opted in for Panang Chicken. Add a little Jasmin rice to the creamy Panang curry; it is a home run and hits the spot! Wife love her choice of Chicken and Shrimps House delight on mild spiciness! It is flavorful and mixed well with bamboo shoots, mushroom, baby corn & snow peas. The service is excellent. Love come here to enjoy the Thai cuisine. read more

One of the best Thai restaurants I've ever been too. Authentic Thai cuisine crafted by wonderful people. It's a very unassuming restaurant in a strip mall (typical for Florida). I have tried so many things on the menu and it's all good, I often see some of the same patrons when I visit, which is interesting because I don't live in Naples so my visits are fairly inconsistent. I think that says a lot about the quality, it's a local favorite! My favorites are the drunken noodles, basil chicken and the spring rolls! Also they have really good Tom Yum soup. read more

Em-On's Thai food is the only place to go for AMAZING pad Thai. The food was cooked fresh and absolutely delicious. We placed 2 orders of pad Thai to go with a heat of 1 and 2. Both were excellent but the spice of 2 was magnificent!! The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful with the spice level. We also ordered the Thai wings and they were also good. We will be back!! This spot is across from The Ritz Carlton Tiburon and seconds from Victoria Park and Stonebridge and is the same plaza as CVS other dining experiences. Definitely a new favorite and go to! read more

There seems to be a lot of combination Thai and sushi places in Naples, but we were looking for a place that only focuses on Thai. We ended up at Emon's, which is in a big strip mall. It has a casual vibe to it. The food was pretty good but not the best I've had. We had the fried tofu, basil fried rice, drunken noodles, and pineapple fried rice. I also had the tom yum shrimp, which lacked any rich coconut flavor. The portions were gigantic though, and would definitely serve you for multiple meals. read more

It's tucked away among other restaurants right next to the German restaurant. There was plenty of seating and tables inside and outside. We started off with Thai tea which had the right amount of sweetness and tea. Had steamed pork dumplings which were pretty good. My wife mentioned she was disappointed that they didn't have fresh spring rolls only fried. My wife got the seafood combination drunken noodle. She said they used an egg noodle and not the thicker noodle for this dish. But is was good and spicy how she likes it. Surprisingly the server told her that they used imitation crab so she opted not to have that. I got my fav Thai dish, chicken panag curry. Food is good. In-room dining is horrible, staff is not friendly till it's time to deliver the check. Prices have gone up and portions are smaller. Take out is a joke. No napkins, cutlery or extra sauces without a charge. If you want chopsticks you better ask. No cookie and food not packed well for travel. To me , these are all signs of cheapness and not a lot of caring for customers. unlike whne they collect the check, they smile for that tip. read more

Excellent services. The Thai dishes were delicious. The seasoning however was excessive, I.e. too much sugar and salt in the sauce or curry. We were able to request the cook to reduce the salt which helped a lot. We just had to remember to request every time. My wife had their special red curry with chicken and vegetables and I had papaya salad. Both very good. I ordered the papaya salad medium spicy and it was every bit of that. Caught Mrs. K. in a moment of weakness and scored a visit to Em On's Thai Cafe. In season this is a hard place to get in, off season not so hard. We were seated upon entering and served efficiently. We ordered crisp spring rolls for starters. They were cooked fine and was nothing that was outstanding nor off putting about them. I ordered the Kway Tiew Nam. Which is made up of rice noodles with beef, cilantro, scallion, bean sprouts sprinkled with toasted garlic. I do know for a fact it had the beef, cilantro, and rice noodles. As I could see and taste them. I could not taste any garlic. Since this was my first time I should have asked if the Kway Tiew Nam could have had some spice added to it. Mine was served without any added spice and it needed that little extra. I liked the place and would come back when I mood strikes Mrs. K. again. :) read more

I don't get to eat here much because it's far from my house but we had lunch here today and I am absolutely blown away with how incredibly delicious everything is. The Hot & Sour Soup is so flavorful and is full of delicious veggies. The Thai Basil Lunch is just perfection. The sauce could not be more delicious. I can't stop thinking about it!!! I want to try so many other dishes but when I see my previous photos of the Thai Basil dish I can't not order it. Can't wait to be able to try so many other dishes on their menu.
