Mojave is a great restaurant that serves great drinks and cocktails, Spanish inspired food, with a great outdoor patio area that overlooks a fountain pond. The food is presented nicely and taste as great as it looks. This is a great place for a cute weekend date or a social get together for brunch. My friend picked Mojave for a group brunch. She had a reservation so we were seated immediately. Service was quick and our waitress was super accommodating and efficient despite our larger group. I tried both the mimosa and the white sangria. All of the drinks were delicious and my friends agreed. I ordered the Eggs Your Way dish for brunch. Everything about it was delicious. The grits were some of the best I've had. I was sad as soon as I finished the potato casserole because it was THAT good. Although it was a great brunch spot, I'd explore more before making this my go to. Stopped in on a Sunday (depending what time you go expect a wait) & sat at the bar. Olivia took great care of us! Service was great. Food was pretty good, but the I'd "write home about" or in this case Yelp is the Ceviche. So fresh. It was made with snapper so we also ordered the fried snapper taco, which was not good. No flavor and super dry, not a good combo. The calamari was also tasty, I really enjoyed the sweet chili dipping sauce it came with. We only got 1 brunch item (steak & eggs) with medallions, poached eggs, over fried green tomatoes for a "Benedict" effect. I assume it's hard to cook those steak medallions to temp but mine was definitely not medium rare like I asked for, the steak was also chewy. However, the grits it came with made up for it. Also tried a few cocktails as well as the sangria. Cocktails were good, skip the sangria (nothing special IMO). I really wanted to like this place and perhaps I'll give it a second try another time. The overall ambiance of the place reminded me of Two Urban Licks with a nice view. We went on a Sunday for brunch and I recommend making reservations. I had the chorizo frittata with fruit and a side of bacon. The server was great and very attentive which we appreciated. He gave suggestions of his personal favorites and best sellers. He got all the extra condiments we asked for and checked in to make sure we were enjoying our dishes. At first glance, the food looked amazing and I super excited to dig in. But after cutting into the frittata, it was very oily from the chorizo. I was shocked that the chef didn't drain the excess oil. It covered the entire dish and over powered the taste of the dish. I couldn't taste all the different textures. As I said, I'll try it again and get a different dish but I do not recommend the frittata. read more

My boyfriend booked reservations for 9:15pm and paid a reservation fee. Only to wait 45 mins after the reservation time to finally get seated. When we first walked into the restaurant the hostess said we were next but they were just waiting on "tables" to open up. There was at least a few other couples waiting to be seated so we decided to grab a drink at the bar while we waited. We weren't too happy when we saw everyone else got seated before us even though he told us "we were next to be seated" overall the check in experience was not great and we didn't even check the tab to see if they deducted the "reservation fee" from the tab. Aside from the bad check in experience everything else was great! The food was delicious, the ambient was perfect, and our server was great! I really enjoyed the Caipirinhas! They had live entertainment on Friday night. It was a little loud, but again, a great vibe. We started with the guacamole and queso. The queso was good, but the guacamole missed something (maybe some extra lime). It was still very fresh and chunky. I had sides to make a veggie plate--Spanish rice, black beans, asparagus, and Mexican street corn (no cobb). I also ordered the blue corn cornbread with honey butter. My sister had the Bronzino. The veggies were really good, except the street corn. It wasn't bad, but it didn't move me. And the blue corn cornbread is good too, just different. Don't expect regular cornbread when you go in for a taste. My sister loved her fish. It's served whole, smothered in tomato and onion, and she ordered here with a side of sautéed spinach. We also ordered a couple of drinks. The first drink my sister didn't like (I think it was due to preference), however, I loved my spicy loma. It's a Smokey mezcal with grapefruit and pineapple. If I could give no stars I would. Absolutely stunning restaurant with a chef and staff that don't know what they are doing. A chef that doesn't know how to poach an egg than try's again and looks clearly microwaved. (The manager claimed it wasn't but I don't believe that for a second) Mike the manager claims not to know what a poached egg is or what kind of cook is on the meat. Also we ordered their garden omelette which I would not recommend. A lot of trendy Tik tok places have recommended this restaurant BUT if you care what you put into your body I would not go here. It's awful food served by people that can't own up to bad food and service in a beautiful venue. If I was the owner I would rebrand under new management and chef. My mother in law was visiting from out of town and this restaurant was recommended by coworkers.... and it was a hit!!!!! (Whew) We went on a Sunday for brunch. I HIGHLY recommend making a reservation. The place is BEAUTIFUL. It has a great patio with a fountain. It is quite big inside, with a boho vibe. It is Lovely. Our food and service was fantastic. Our server Sofia was patient and kind with our table and explained a few things that we didn't know what they were. Although we went for brunch and there's a separate menu, you can still ask for their regular menu and order from there. As an appetizer we had the ceviche dish, it's red snapper citrus based served with tostadas. It was very good! Our entrees were delicious as well. The shrimp and grits was fantastic, with crumbled chorizo in a chipotle cream sauce. It was the perfect amount since it is quite heavy. The Spanish frittata, was very good. We just weren't blown away by it. The best plate of the night was the Mojave burger... WOW! It comes with shredded beef and bacon, it was unforgettable. Their drinks were fantastic as well. Another fantastic dinner with the ladies. This was a little far from where I live, but I was looking forward to another great restaurant we choose. The restaurant is pretty large. They did not require masks on patrons, but staff wore them. Also seating was a little close. Not much social distancing. Now onto the food. It was wonderful. I got the paella. OMG the rice was absolutely superb. Just enough seafood and a beautiful chicken thigh (I believe) in the center. The guacamole was awesome. Chunky pieces of avocado. This place was slightly tucked away, surrounded by trees, with a back patio retention pond and water fall, all adding to the ambiance. Inside, the restaurant was cozy but sophisticated with tons of natural light. It was reservation only during Saturday brunch so we were seated very quickly and had a little bit of a choice for seating. The brunch menu had a ton of options and I ended up getting the steak and eggs, classic mimosa and my partner had the huevos rancheros and we split the French toast. The steak and eggs was perfectly cooked with a poached egg. But the fried tomato and asparagus took it over the top. Im only giving the place 4 starts because the service was fairly slow so we waited a while for our meal and had to remind a server a few times about items they didn't bring out. Additionally, I got the potato casserole as a side and it was underwhelming. Very dry in spite of being well seasoned and covered in cheese. It might have just been sitting out. But we also tried the grits (which was the other option) and that was a far better call. The French toast is the reason imma be back ASAP! I asked for lemon or lime and salt and pepper instead. They arrived when the food was cold and my date had finished his food. I asked for medium cooked. It wasn't but that wasn't a deal breaker. Mains averaged $22.00 - $35.00. overpriced for what is actually served and the taste. The quality and taste were the fails for me. If you come during weekend brunch times, I highly recommend making a reservation - this is one of the few places in Atlanta that does bottomless mimosas anymore ($25) so the brunch hours are pretty busy. And the PRICES....I was floored when I saw their fried chicken brunch dish was FOURTY BUCKS. I expect those kinds of prices at nicer establishments, but anything over the $23 mark at a place like this is outrageous to me - if I'm spending those kinds of prices, I expect chef level flavors and I didn't get that at all. I LOVED the outdoor seating w/ the view of the water fountain (although that water is disgusting) but luckily I'm short enough I couldn't see it unless I tried lol. The food was average, not bad but not what I expected it to be.
