I was recommended this coming by someone and inquired about a septic clean out of a 50 gallon tank. I was quoted at $450 which seemed high, but I don't know the going rates. The customer service asked when I needed the service and I said as soon as you are available. She told me we can send someone today and then there was a $300 emergency fee. I did not say I had an emergency I simply said as soon as you are available. So she said well let me see if I can wave the fee. Then came back on the phone and told me oh it looks like we won't be available until Monday now. Needless to say, I went with a different company who showed up 30 minutes after I called and did the job for 1/3 of the price. Moral of the story, call around. I was about to drop $450 + the other $300 for an "emergency" I was not having lol Tamas, Thank you for replying, but that is not correct. You received my call at 11:55 in the morning and when I said, as soon as available, I was told your company could be there within the hour. originally asked Modern Septic if they could make me the first stop of the day or at least early morning, since I had taken the whole day off work for this. They initially had me later in the schedule, but the office team was super responsive and accommodating--they texted back quickly, explained they'd try to bump me up, and kept me updated. In the end, they squeezed me in around 10am, which was perfect! The crew showed up right on time, were professional, friendly, and got the job done efficiently and cleanly. No mess, quick pump and inspection, and they left everything spotless in my backyard (even with all the plants and stuff around the access point). Communication was top-notch from start to finish--morning check-in texts, heads-up when they were en route, and a call number if needed. I've dealt with septic services before, but this was one of the best experiences. Honest, reliable, and they really go the extra mile to make it work for the customer. This was the first time I've booked septic tank pumping so I was feeling a bit nervous about how this was going to go. I requested quotes on Yelp for septic tank pumping service, and Modern Septic was quick to respond, professional, and provided a very competitive quote. I spoke with Leslie over the phone to book and she was so helpful and kind. Together we located the tank covers in my yard via Yelp messaged photos and texts. She then helped me schedule the techs to come out just a few days later. Today was the day, and although I was given a service window of 7-11am arrival time, I received a text at 6:40am saying they were on their way! Yay! The techs Luis and Peter (I think those were their names!) were professional, friendly, and answered all my questions. Then came the execution... Peter arrived earlier than I could get to the property which was fine because he was self-sufficient. He got to work and I arrived shortly thereafter to ask a bevy of questions, which he knowledgeably answered (a true SME and ambassador of the company). Often people stifle questions, but not Peter, he encouraged more questions, which I most appreciated.
