    The service is great ! The owners are pleasant and friendly . Tuesdays are discounted for dry cleaning

I have using this laundry facility for over 3 years and it is the best in town. They are full service and offer pick up laundry services at an affordable price. If you forget detergent etc, there is a coin machine laundry bar for your convience (but it's not too cheap, so be smart & bring your own). Tabletops for folding and ample seating for waiting. A few old school arcade games, and limited snack vending.

The inside rims of the washing machines have hair and nasty-looking grime. I hate trusting my sheets and intimates to these washers. Would never use them for comforter type bedding. The detergent drawers are caked with the goopy residue of the detergent of previous users. Many of the machines are quite new, and if only they were properly cleaned, on a REGULAR basis, they would be great, and I would definitely give a much higher rating, probably 5 stars. But, the attendant just pushing dirt around the floors with a broom, and occasionally mopping is simply not the thorough cleaning that gives me confidence. I understand that cannot be a fun, desirable job, though it provides plenty of time for personal phone calls... Sure would be great if regular wiping of the machines could be coupled with those phone calls.

    On August 14th I dropped off four items with Starz cleaners to have dry cleaned. One was an…read moreintricately beaded dress with a tag that reads "dry clean only" and "no direct heat or steam on beading". For reference, I have a picture of this tag. Being that I was a first time customer, they had me sign a waiver about how they are not responsible for damage. I consulted with the associate at the counter for a good 10-15 minutes to inquire what this meant. She assured me that they cleaned beaded dresses all of the time and all that meant was that if a bead came loose they wouldn't be responsible, and that was the worst that has ever happened. Also, she assured me that they wouldn't clean over the beaded portion of the dress. I specifically asked her if they cleaned that section and she said no. I have had this particular dress dry cleaned before and it was returned to me in perfect condition. Since the beaded portion was not dirty and it was completely unnecessary to clean that portion, and because the woman who worked there told me they wouldn't clean that area, I felt confident that the actual fabric portion of the dress would be cleaned without damage and released the dress to their care. When I returned on August 13th to pick up my items, the same woman was working. As soon as she saw me, she immediately went to get her manager. He brought me the dress and I saw that the entire beaded portion was melted into the fabric (beyond repair). He claimed that he was not responsible, and that is was the manufacturers fault because the tag reads dry clean. When I informed him I have had it dry cleaned before without any issues, he told me it was because they use a different chemical and he kept claiming that the chemical he used was responsible for the damage and had the tag specifically said which chemical to use, it would not be an issue. I told him the name of where I bought the dress, and he told me he would call the store back the next day to discuss the issue with them. I also informed him and his wife that their employee had specifically told me they would not clean the beaded portion of the dress, and their response was "well she didn't know better, she is only 18. She shouldn't have said that". I think this is an error on the store's fault and their training of their employees, and the consumer should not be at fault for inaccurate and misleading information. I received a phone call saying he was waiting to hear back from the store. When I told him I went online and found price data for the dress and the check showing how much I had spent to get this dress altered, he said "well as far as alterations go, we can do that for you". When I asked him about the dress, he told me that it was not his fault and still blamed the manufacturer. I told him the tag said do not apply heat, and asked him how their process works. He admitted to me that there is heat involved. Then he started getting extremely rude and defensive and arguing with me over how the definition of "direct" heat. I stayed calm and told him that wasn't right for them to not take responsibility for returning my property to me in a completely destroyed condition. Then he proceeded to yell and told me to just come get my dress, and that I could take him to court. I truly feel that the damage to this dress was due to the dry cleaner's negligence. The tag specifically reads to dry clean and not apply direct heat, but I do not think they even read the tag because they put it in a process, that they admitted, applies heat. As professionals, they should have known better. In addition, the girl I talked to at the store the day I dropped the dress off, specifically said they would NOT clean the beaded portion of the dress. This was a complete lie. Had I known they were going to clean the entire dress, including the beaded portion, in a process that DOES involve heat, I never would have let them clean it. I am not even a professional dry cleaner, and I would have had enough common sense to know that was not a good idea. To further the issue, the manager was extremely rude and has no regard to his customers' property. He really couldn't care less and did nothing to make the situation right. It makes me sick to think a company like this could be allowed to get away with treating its customers this way. It is the worst customer service I have ever encountered. I cannot even imagine if the beaded dress had been a wedding dress, or another item that even money couldn't replace. I really think this incident and this entire company needs to be investigated and processes put in place so this never happens again. The value of the dress is $378. The store I bought it from no longer carries the dress, but I was able to find it online. Assuming about an 8% tax rate, that brings the dress to $408. I also had previously spent about $45 to have it altered to fit, bring the total value of the dress to approximately $450.

    I needed change for my laundry card and waited for quite a while, looking around for a worker to…read morehelp. I could only find one worker who was of zero help. My only other option was to use the ATM, which can only withdraw $20 or more. I ended up having to put the entire $20 I withdrew onto my laundry card, which was way more than I wanted to spend. They need more staff, as well as a bell or button to press to call for help at the counter. The place is also very run down, and the chairs are extremely uncomfortable, feeling like they could break at any moment. My disabled mom that was with me unfortunately had to stand the entire time, due to how terrible the chairs felt. This place needs an upgrade.

Our schedules made going to a laundromat impossible for our situation so I decided to use a laundry service to pick up, clean and deliver two loads of laundry to get us through until our new washer and dryer was delivered. I went online and did all the things, scheduled pickup for 04/18 between 9:00am-1:00pm to be delivered back the next day same time frame. I called when I initiated the transaction and spoke with a person that seemed highly uninterested in speaking to me. But I confirmed they got my order, confirmed they do deliver pickup and deliver to my address and got some clarification on how the process is supposed to work. It is Saturday the 18th, the day scheduled for pick up and when the laundry still wasn't picked up at 2:30pm, I called to verify that it would still be picked up. Spoke with the same female I spoke with the day before and she said basically the time frame I chose doesn't apply, apparently they don't so that although it is on their website for you to chose, and it would be picked up by 7:00pm. It is 9:55pm and the two loads of laundry are still sitting on my porch. They never showed up. Even after two phone calls confirming the order, they never showed up. I wasted all day waiting for them to pickup and now have to find a company that actually will do what they advertise they do. Definitely do not recommend Clean City Laundromat. Nope
