I wish I could give this business 10 stars for the exceptional way I was treated as a customer! Ms. Thui, the owner of A2Z and Lakeside cleaners made a huge impression on me. I wrongly thought that they had discolored a brand new clothing item and was very upset. I brought it back to A2Z and went to Lakeside to speak to the owner. I was very upset and Ms. Thui promised if she couldn't correct the problem, she would buy me another one. Well, she was so determined to make me happy, she personally drove to the store where I bought the item and called to let me know she purchased a new one and it was at the shop waiting to be picked up. When I showed up, Ms. Thui wasn't there, but when her employee presented me with the new item, it was clear that it was exactly the same color as the original one-- there had been no discoloration or fading whatsoever and she had still bought me a new one to make me a happy customer. I wouldn't take the new one because I was totally wrong but they still treated me with kindness and respect. I want everyone to know that not only do they do a great job at these two cleaners, they have top notch customer service and integrity. Beyond disappointed. Been a customer for years and won't go back. My dry cleaned sweatshirt that was perfectly fine and in tact for Napa was ruined and no offer to give any $ for damages. Said they didn't "charge me for the cleaning"... what kind of customer service is that? You ruined my sweatshirt. Missing letters and letters peeling off. Not handled with care. Don't bring special pieces here. There are too many other cleaners that care and treat garments with care!!! The picture says it all. read more

We've been using Lakeside Cleaners for about 10 years. The customer service is always very good, and their services are convenient. They have a night drop, as well as drive-through drop-off and pick-up services. I mostly use them for my dress shirts and dress pants, and they always do a good and consistent job. I will occasionally find a broken button on my dress shirts, but this happens at any dry cleaner that I have ever used. I've had them do a down comforter as well as few other odds and ends things, and have never been disappointed. I'm happy with Lakeside Cleaners and plan on continuing to use them indefinitely. read more

I've tried most of the cleaners in Rowlett, and Lakeside is by far the best of those that I've tried. The service is top notch. They have a drive thru where someone comes out to your vehicle, take your clothes for drop off and brings you the clothes for pick up. The staff is courteous, knowledgeable, and prompt. It's very unfortunate that I'll be moving from Rowlett soon because I will have to find another cleaners that is up to par with Lakeside and that will be no easy task. On top of the customer service, they do the best job of cleaning my clothes too. The other cleaners I've tried left small wrinkles in the stomach of my shirts, but they are perfect from Lakeside. Granted they are a tad more expensive than other cleaners in the are, but you truly get what you pay for and the quality of service is worth every penny. read more

I'm still in the parking lot of Lakeside Cleaners writing this review... THAT'S how happy I am with the service I received. I dropped off my two goose down comforters back in October before leaving to head to Colorado, telling them that it would be about a month before I would be back to pick them up. The owner assured me that that was fine and my comforters would be ready in 3 days if my plans changed and I didn't leave to go out of state. And if I did travel, then the comforters would be kept safe until I returned to pick them up. Well, here it is the 13th of December and not only were my comforters kept safe, they are pristine white and tucked safely into heavy duty zippered bags!!! I simply could not be happier or more impressed! Thank you so much, Lakeside Cleaners, for going above and beyond!! Two side notes: This was my very first time visiting this business. And I drove 24.6 miles to this business. Lakeside Cleaners will get all of my dry cleaning business from here on out!! read more

WARNING...... Took three pants to be altered and paid $70. They measured me and had no problems. One pant was totally wrong and took them back. They understood the problem and said nothing about an extra charge. Returned to pick them up and received a bill for $30 dollars to fix their mistake. Not honest with their customers. I will never return. read more

Just as an update: I took my labcoats to my usual dry cleaner and all the stains were removed with no problems.

I was very, very disappointed with Lakeside Cleaners. I had wash, dry, fold service on my husbands clothes as he is working here from out of town. The first time I went all clothes were cleaned but were not folded well. I figured they might have been short staffed and were in a hurry. However, the next time I went I arrived as soon as they opened and did not pick up the clothes until well after 5:00 p.m. which was the time they said the clothes would be done. I went back to hotel to put the clothes away into my husbands suitcase and the jeans were still damp! They had all day to perform the task and did a horrible job by not drying till were completely dry and the folding was horrible for the second time. Very shoddy work!! I will never go back! Plus the price was extremely high for the service. I go all over United States and have this service and this was one of the highest cost but the worst job done! Beware! read more

The years Mr. & Mrs. Kim had the franchise to Lakeside Cleaners, never did I have to worry about inappropriate behavior by their staff, and never a problem with my clothing. The Current "owners", from what I can understand since, seem to speak English, but difficult to contact. I left my name and phone number, but call was forthcoming. Background. I never allow my clothes to be washed with anyone else's clothes, always washing my own clothes and never, ever in the dryer. As I have for years, then take them to Lakeside Cleaners to be pressed. That fact has been made expressly clear to the owner, and each time I take in clothing if a new person is behind the counter. Never before has there been a problem. Until yesterday. Issue. The last time I took in clothing was approximately three weeks ago, as always explained they are clean and to only press. When I picked up my clothes, there was an extra $10+ charge. The older woman who works there had, without calling me, decided to wash and dry my clothing, and not just press. She said "they were dirty!" She continued to insist my clean clothes had been dirty. In so doing, she took action without calling and discussing "her find" with me, she shrank two new pair of winter pants. After the confrontation, I felt perhaps she would not again pull the same stunt with me. Yesterday I took in seven shorts, capri's, and one white cotton jacket. The gentleman helping me said he was new, which followed the turn-over in staff, gave me a receipt, but as I started to get into my car, I saw the older woman had immediately gone over and was opening up the white jacket. As I walked back inside, I heard her say, "I'm looking to see if dirty!"! I took the item from her, and told her several times to never, ever again touch my clothes. When challenged, suddenly she would not speak English, would not talk with me, turned and walked away. This is the second time this woman has, in my opinion, attempted to falsify my request. She learned nothing from the first time when on her own decided to wash and dry my clothing, rather than just press my clothes as directed. As a result, I am wondering if I am the only person who has been, what I determine to be, scammed? As a result of the older woman's unethical action with my clothing, and charging me almost double the price, I will find another cleaners. How sad, because the Kim's were well liked, treated their customers with respect, and their integrity, in my opinion, was beyond reproach. There was always a Mr. or Mrs. Kim on location. Sadly, with the current owners, I now do not find the same customer relations integrity with one member of their staff. Either the owner was never given my request for her to call me, or she elected to not call me, which I deeply regret. Until this second occurrence, never would I have thought to go elsewhere for dry cleaning or pressing. read more

DO NOT USE LAKESIDE CLEANERS. Started using Lakeside after Ronnie's closed (used over 10 years). Was excellent until recently when I noticed tears in my dress shirts in the the same location on each shirt. The first time it happened a few months ago I spoke with the Owner who blamed my "old" shirt saying nothing at the cleaners touches my shirts in the location of the tears/shreds. It happened again today making a total of 5 dress shirts all taken to the Cleaners without tears but with tears when I picked them up. Today I took in 3 shirts without tears and when I picked up she said one shirt was not cleaned because it was torn when I brought it in. The other 2 shirts were also torn. She asked if I wore a pin in that spot on my shirt instead of admitting it was their machinery/process ruining my dress shirts. She was nice but blamed me! read more

I went to this dry cleaner based on Yelp reviews. Drop off was quick and pleasant. They told me my total was a certain amount when I dropped off. When I picked up my total went up by $5. I was told it was a mistake by an employee. I told them they should still honor the price I was told when I dropped off. They told me sorry, too bad. Called back to talk to a manager and the same guy just said sorry, that's the way it is...Crickets on the phone.... Will never go to this place again. It's the principal of the matter. Honor the price you give your client even if it was an employee's mistake. Was really hoping to love this place. read more
