    Raspberry pop tart

A cozy bar with curated wine tastings, that also serves coffee. This place is great, though this place is for wine, I came here for the coffee. The barista Jo was friendly and fast serving up my latte. I orderd one of their seasonal specialties, an Eggnog latte. It had espresso, eggnog, and spices topped with whipped cream, which was pretty good. I also ordered the Raspberry pop tart, which I enjoyed. I will definitely come back to try their wine tastings.

The one drink that pushes this to a great for me was the peanut butter latte I got. The pistachio latte was good, but the peanut butter latte was pretty great. I'd definitely go just to get that again. We also thought it just looked like a really nice place in general with all of the wines and pastries. The service was great and we liked the overall decor of the cafe.

I am so happy I stopped by this adorable coffee/wine bar after the gym! I've been wanting to check this place out. It has such a cool vibe for coffee/wine. They have wonderful pastries, and all sorts of cool things to purchase. The girl working was very helpful! I can't wait to go back for some wine!

cute wine tasting bar in Cypress

We hosted a private wine party for our clients here at Modern Cellar. It wasn't cheap, but, there isn't a high quality wine bar in Cypress that offers this type of service. The owner and another woman hosted our group and they made for an enjoyable evening. We definitely recommend checking out this business, as they serve high end wines for people who enjoy fine wines. If you're looking for 3 buck chuck, keep driving two miles down the road to TJ's. The owner really knows wine, as she's been in the wine industry for some time now. A great addition to the local business scene in Cypress, definitely worth checking out.

Visited for the first time the other day! We are incredibly grateful to this wine shop for opening their space and their hearts to my friends and me as we gathered to celebrate the birthday of our late, beloved friend. They created a welcoming, peaceful and fun environment and I enjoyed every second. The wine was amazing and we are so grateful to have been able to share the time with friends. Can't wait to come back!!!

We had a nice time tasting the wines of the day and enjoyed them well enough to bring home a bottle of Merlot. Nice people. Nice ambiance. Nice experience overall.

This is my new happy place. Coffee and wine in one place walking distance from our new home. I love to support the small business coffee shops because frankly southern california needs more of them. Lavazza espresso coffee is a treat. The caffe della cassa and this months coconut almond latte were delicious. Also tried a scone and cream cheese bomb from here. Theres seating inside and out. The service is excellent and quick every time. Im excited to try their wine tasting nights and will report back.

A perfect morning at Modern Cellar

We absolutely love Modern Cellar! Gina and her staff make us feel like family. This wonderful wine shop & coffee bar has become a special part of our social life. We have made many friends here and visit almost every week. The wines are amazing, approachable and well priced. The included cheese pairings are a wonderful and delicious accompaniment. An when I want to treat myself to an indulgent morning morsel I stop by for coffee and a quiche! Gina has a wonderful selection of pastries and baked goodies also. There's a special treat for everyone at this warm & friendly spot. I can't recommend it highly enough. Come and make some new friends here!

How do we go about to make a reservation for a wine tasting?

I believe you can walk in without a reservation.

Hi. Thinking of taking my best friend here for her b-day. Are walk-ins welcome on a Saturday at any time during open hours or is by appointment only?

Hi there! We do not take reservations, just walk-ins between the tasting hours of 4-7, every Friday & Saturday. We look forward to seeing you!… Read more

They also have happy hour Tuesdays-Thursday from 2:00-5:30pm, where they offer house wines for $5 and personal cheese board for $10. For boards, I usually get the Goldilocks specialty board, which comes with 3 cheeses ranging in texture from soft to hard. For an additional cost, you can add meat: prosciutto, salami, Spanish chorizo, or half & half of any two. For paninis, everything I've tried was very good. I've had the Signature which has a double-cream brie, pear slices, mixed greens, and fig jam. Lib Grilled Cheese comes with three premium cheese blend, grilled with olive oil, and minced garlic. All paninis are on their sourdough bread and served with their signature side salad. The decor here is very cute - showcasing their cheese fridge and shelves lined with wines and jams available for purchase. There are some tables both indoors and outside. I recently saw that they host events, offer quick same-day catering within 2-3 hours of ordering, and deliver for orders up to 50 people! Always coming back for their cheese boards and great happy hour!

My first visit was a few months ago, and I felt like I was bothering our server for water refills, napkins and other things. It was a Saturday night and while it was not packed, it took about an hour to get 2 panini's. Went today for my birthday, and my adult son told the server that the three of us were sitting on patio. Server shows up with 2 menus and 2 glasses for water. Sees me and scolds my son for not telling her that there was a third person. She brings a 3rd glass but never a 3rd menu. I specifically mention that we are here for happy hour specials. There is only 1 other table occupied, otherwise it's empty. We wait over 20 minutes to place our order. 1 personal board supposed to be $10. Plus (2) panini's. Wait another 30+ minutes... get our food and that's it. No check in - no water refills. My son goes and gets the server for a box and to order another personal board. We wait another long period to get it. I go inside to taste some cheese. We add on something to our bill. It was $104... I do some quick math and assume the price is because of the cheese I added to the bill. I add a tip on the lowish side, because we didn't really get any "service" to be worth the $18 I added onto it. I get home to review the receipt... and was charged $20 for the personal boards + the add ons... I am so let down. I spent $130 and didn't get awesome service or the happy hour discount. I was expecting to pay $50-$60 ish, and this caught me off guard. I have learned my lesson and won't be going back. I added the pictures so yelp-er's can see portion sizes, of the personalized cheese board.

Who doesn't like a good cheese / charcuterie board? After I went up to speak to one of the workers on how this whole thing worked. I had the pleasure of, Celeste helping me My head was spinning with all the choices. I got the board where I picked two cheeses, one meat and then you get two sides. A sauce counts as a side. So I picked a nice mustard And dried apricots as my other side Then I heard someone talking about wine tasting?!?! So of course I had to do that?? Once I picked which ones I wanted to try for my wine tasting, Celeste, asked if it was ok if she came by and poured my wines one by one vs brining them all out at once. I was a little worried she would get distracted, and there would be a little bit of a wait, since I didn't sit at the wine bar, I sat at a table instead. But, Celeste was on top of everything. They NEED a -Pique-Nique, wine, cheese and charcuterie board bar at south coast plaza, lol. This is such a cute place to come to with your girlfriends. I am personally a pro at making charcuterie boards lol. However, if you don't have the time or aren't gifted at making them. This would be the perfect place to come and get one made to bring to a party! Or just a girls night in They also had sandwiches and salads For me? Sweeter the better. So my favorite of the wine tasting was The -Electra Red Moscato Quady Winery, Madera, CA sweet, strawberry, pomegranate It was mostly wine, but they did have a couple cocktails, some beer and a few mocktails / nonalcoholic beverages Also, this place is women owned. I will 10000 percent be back. Especially since I can literally live off of cheese, bread (and wine) lol Great service Great atmosphere Great variety 10 stars if I could.

I can honestly say I've never been disappointed. One of our favorite purchases was a prime rib we pre-ordered for Christmas dinner. It was mouthwatering and perfectly seasoned, and it came beautifully wrapped and ready to go. All I had to do was pop it in the oven, which made hosting so much easier. Being able to pre-order prime rib and other cuts for holiday meals or dinner gatherings is such a huge convenience. Another one of our absolute favorites is their burgers. They are so delicious and beautifully mixed with a prime selection of meats -- you can truly taste the quality in every bite. They are always juicy, flavorful, and perfect for grilling. They also make deli sandwiches that are so good and full of flavor! Everything is made with care, and you can really tell they take pride in what they offer. On top of all that, their customer service is outstanding. The staff is always friendly, fast, and extremely helpful. They truly go above and beyond to make sure you have everything you need. Highly recommend to anyone looking for high-quality meat, incredible prepared foods, and exceptional service!

A single friendly lady was the cashier, cook, and waitress. I love Oaxacan cuisine so wanted to try a few things I've never had before. For my entree I went with the "molotes" which are deep fried masa fritters stuffed with potatoes and chorizo and topped with black bean paste, lettuce, guacamole sauce, and cheese. It also came with a side of spicy red hot sauce. The portion was huge for the price and extremely filling. I loved the texture of the masa and all the ingredients were so flavorful. I cleaned my plate to the last bite and would highly recommend the dish. For my drink I went with the "atole blanco" which was a hot masa porridge which was sweetened. It was super hot and never cooled down thanks to the thick terra cotta bowl it was served in. I really enjoyed it and found it very comforting. It paired up with the entree perfectly. The texture might not be for everybody but I think you should give it a try. My only real complaint is it was 100 degrees in the place just like the last restaurant which was causing me to drip sweat. It's 60's outside so can't imagine the summer. During the last 10 minutes or so I think the a/c kicked on though since it started to get more comfortable. Also I noticed I got a small charge for using credit instead of cash which seems to be the norm these days. I didn't notice any warning sign about it. Great place, friendly service, delicious food. I can't wait to try it again and I recommend you try it too!

When we entered it was a small location where one side is a Romanian market and a food counter on the other side. No tables. Only a few counter seats. Honestly I was a little hesitant about this place but my worries were quickly quelled. Staff greeted us and clearly recognized we were in unfamiliar territory and took the time to explain things to us. Basically it's sausages, flatbread, sandwiches, and pastries. The small menu was a huge plus for me. I prefer a place that makes a few things really well. We got 3 sausages, potato salad, couple of flatbreads, and two pastries. The sausages were amazing. Ah-mazing. The carnati, which I believe is made in house, was so incredibly delicious. Thick, juicy, and flavorful. It kind of gave me a Chinese lap cheong flavor with a meatier texture. There was a very mild sweetness to it and a wonderful snap. The cabanas were smaller, dryer sausages. The snap on this sausage made and audible sound when you bit into them. On the saltier side. Not as juicy as the other two but had a great heartier texture. The skinless sausage was almost like a kafta in texture. Soft and juicy. Potato salad had peas, carrots, and chicken. Super delicious I highly recommend. Pastries were also really delicious. The Neapolitan was mostly custard with too and bottom layers rather than layers throughout but the custard was super thick and delicious. This place is 10/10. Totally unassuming spot with amazing food.
