She helped my father, who does not plan parties well, kick off a great birthday. The menu was delicious (special shout out to the Mac N Cheese & the Cowboy Cookies!) Sydney also arranged for the table & chair rentals, drop off and pick up, making that process super easy. There were about 70 guests at this party, and everybody LOVED the food. Syd's Yummy Stuff is, indeed, delicious! I was at an event recently catered by SYS and every item was scrumptious! I particularly loved the brisket: moist, tender, with just enough snap in the sauce to be super memorable. SYS also served a banana-crunch dessert that was yummy on the spot and I took one home and enjoyed it later. Syd and her staff seemed very well organized: they had all the food out in an organized fashion, filled warming trays as needed and were very helpful in the kitchen, generally. By the time this party was over, Syd and staff had put away, bagged, washed and cleaned the whole kitchen, to the extent you'd never guess they had just fed a party of 50!! A couple of coworkers and I ordered and had lunches delivered, we got a caprese chicken sandwich, grilled veggies and pasta salad. The chef, Sydney was so sweet when she delivered our lunches. The sandwich had a moist chicken breast and soft ciabatta bread. I really enjoyed the twist of more a tomato spread than slices, it made it much easier to eat. My favorite was the pasta salad, it was very simple and refreshing. A coworker described the veggies as "good and tender and juicy and not over seasoned," I was pleased they were not mushy which sometimes happens when you order out. We hired Syd's Yummy Stuff to cater for a Celebration of Life event. They made enchiladas, Spanish rice, beans, salad and chocolate cupcakes. Sydney was very communicative during the planning process and so accommodating! She was easy to work with and made sure special needs (like having vegetarian and dairy free options) were addressed. We were grateful for how helpful she was, especially with the event being very last minute. The food was delicious. We received lots of compliments, particularly on the enchiladas and cupcakes. She stayed at the event to keep the buffet table refilled and we really appreciated her help. She was professional and provided great service. I think the only thing that's keeping this from being 5 stars is the presentation of the food. We were disappointed in how the food was served/displayed. Our Celebration of Life event was a fairly nice event but the food was served in disposable aluminum trays with foil covering, storage dishes, and some original packages. The appearance of the food did not fit with our event or the quality of the food. Overall we were very happy with her food and service. read more

Syd's Yummy Stuff catered my son's Court of Honor dinner. They made a whole Mexican food feast--beef and chicken tacos, Spanish rice, beans, chips, and a delicious homemade salsa. The food was excellent, and all the guests raved about it. The chef worked with me to create the menu, and made great suggestions. She personally delivered the food, and brought all the condiments to top the tacos--chopped onions, cheese, guacamole, tomatoes, etc. Everyone left happy, and no one left hungry! I bought a dozen at an outdoor event, and by the time I got home I knew I had to go back and purchase more. In fact, I decided I needed to give Syd's yummy cookies as Christmas gifts, so I ordered a wide variety of her cookies and a variety of her amazing jams and gave them to a couple dozen friends and family as Christmas gifts and thank you gifts. The jams made an exceptional gift as well. They are so delicious that I even put her Strawberry-Kiwi jam on some Vanilla Bean ice cream. The best ice cream topping ever!
