Came here for the grand opening last week. They had wine tasting for $20 for 4- 2 ounce pours of different wines. Pretty good deal. They also had someone singing. The wine prices were decent from what I saw. They also had cheeses, sweets and other items for sale. There's also a small coffee bar. I will have to come back to try it. Hopefully they will have more wine tasting days available in the future. read more

We visited for a wine tasting. The service was okay- they were setting up and a bit disorganized. But, they got everything moving along eventually. The team didn't offer much about the wine and cheese pairings, but we asked questions. We wanted to support a small business so we also bought a bottle of wine and ordered dessert. The team was friendly and the atmosphere was relaxing. Not sure if we'll go back but it's worth a try if you're in the area or a local. read more

This is a hidden gem. The atmosphere is totally charming. There are outdoor tables, and it looks like the perfect setting to bring a friend or a nice place to read and enjoy your coffee. I had ordered a decaf cafe mocha and a gluten-free chocolate chip scone (which was yummy with melted chocolate chips). I can't believe I found a darling little place to get a good latte. The batista also welcomed me, went over what they have, and made suggestions that work for me. She also encouraged me to visit their wine tasting events on Fri & Sat afternoon/night. I will definitely be coming back! read more

I enjoy supporting small businesses. The decor is warm and inviting. Many cute gifts to buy too, I love the lip tint. Great coffee! Delicious and unique flavor combinations to choose from. I stopped wasting my money at that famous coffee place (starts with an S) their coffee tastes like water now. If you want a delicious cup of coffee, give this place a try. The peach cobbler needs less crust, more peaches. Smaller centerpieces would be nice, so my dessert plate/plates fit on the table. read more

I tried their iced latte with hints of orange and cinnamon and it was so good! Options are definitely limited, but the Lavazza espresso is really good. read more

Beautiful ambiance. I tried the pistachio latte here and have been getting it ever since.

I know this is a wine cellar but this review is strictly for their house coffee: it is hands down my favorite coffee!!! We used to frequent a bunch of coffee shops in the area but this one takes the cake and we always find ourselves coming back here over the other shops. The syrup they use for it is made in house and it's a ***chefs kiss. Do yourself a favor and get the house coffee - you won't regret it!! read more

My husband and I visited the Modern Cellar for the first time during their wine tasting event, and it was wonderful! The cellar is gorgeous, the wine was delicious, the cheese and meat selections were perfect, and the cherry on top were the staff's friendliness and knowledge. They make you feel like you're relatives stopping by in town and make you comfortable from the moment you walk in. I'm so happy this spot exists in Cypress! Can't wait to take a bottle to Dominic's next door read more

Nice place for a chat with friends. Lots of wines but limited food choices. Give it a try and say what you think.

This was my first visit I stopped to look at the wines. They have a great collection going. It was lunch time so I ordered Gina's specialty coffee and a biscotti. It was great. I'll be coming back for wine tasting Friday or Saturday between 4 and 7, I think it was. I'll let you know how it was. I asked her who the owner was. Gina is the owner and my server and she was my server. Great to have a coffee/wine shop so near my town. read more

I stopped by the Modern Cellar because I was in the mood for a latte or a sweet treat, and the location and ambiance of the shop is relaxed and inviting. The employees are very friendly and kind. As much as I'd like to give this place a 5 star rating, the coffee and brownie I picked up are very average; I paid nearly $15 for both and don't like either of the two. I got the seasonal coconut almond latte and the almond is extremely overwhelming: every sip of the drink tastes like very sweet almond extract, as though I'm drinking the syrup itself. I can't get myself to finish the drink barely a quarter way into it. I had the sweet barista add two extra shots of espresso to the drink for me to try and decrease the sweetness without asking to remake the drink, which didn't help like I thought it might. The Valrhona Brownie tastes like a baked good, but... not like chocolate at all. I personally don't think I would order either item again, but I'd be open to returning to try other drinks on the coffee menu as well as the other pastries. The employees were so nice that I don't have the heart to leave a 3-star rating I'd associate with my drink and dessert. read more

The website says they open at 9:00 am but I've stopped 3 different times at around 9:15 on my way to work and they have been closed.. disappointing. Especially when you're wanting coffee and then it's too late to stop somewhere else. read more

Finally we have an amazing wine bar, wine store and not to mention a coffee shop. Modern cellar is perfect for so many reasons. Great place to get together with friends, date night or if you're in need of a quick unique gift. I created a Mother's Day basket that was beautiful. Gina is amazing and so knowledgeable of all her products, her passion for wine is obvious. The coffee is phenomenal, I highly suggest her iced coffee she makes with her homemade orange syrup. Go support this amazing woman owned business. read more

Best iced coffee i've ever had!!!! The flavor of the coconut almond latte was by far the best i've ever tasted. Definitely try if you get the chance read more

Cozy neighborhood wine bar - this is our 3rd time here for wine tasting. They offer new tastings every week on Friday and Saturday. If you aren't inspired by your tasting flight, they have plenty to offer around the rest of the shop. On top of that, they are a coffee shop with baked goods ready to go. Gina and her staff provide excellent service and can answer any questions you have. Get here early to secure your spot at the bar top, but if you're late to the party, they have plenty of areas around the store to enjoy the libations. Come check out what else this wonderful place has to offer! Cheers. read more

If I could only drink one coffee for the rest of my life, it would be Modern Cellar's iced House Coffee. In my decades of enjoying coffee nothing compares to this iced coffee. It has truly elevated my palette to the point where most other coffee shops fall short in their delivery. I know Modern Cellar is a primarily wine shop which I honestly love so much because it is a fantastic place to get wine, enjoy a glass, do a tasting, and participate in their wine club. But I purchase this coffee far more than any wine and I am in this establishment several times a week specifically for their coffee. If you haven't tried it yet, it's an absolute treat. Speaking of treats, their pastries are incredible and have a delicious, homemade taste that elevates any drink. Honestly stop by and grab a coffee. Buy a bottle of wine. Support this business because it truly is a great one and we need more businesses like this in the world. read more

I would absolutely recommend Modern Cellar! I had a great time tasting some new wines and cheese. The owner is friendly and knowledgeable on wine but in a very humble way. I'm thrilled to have it in our neighborhood. They do tastings Friday & Saturday evenings 4pm-7pm fun activity before catching some dinner! Check them out! Buy a unique bottle of wine for your next get together. read more

I have gone twice for two different wine tastings. The owner and staff are so welcoming and they have allowed me to try different types of wine that I would have never tried. They also have some wonderful cheeses and condiments that can't be found everywhere. Give them a try! read more

Such nice ladies who work there! The house coffee is great, always hits the spot. Nice and quiet atmosphere

My husband bought me a chocolate as I was with our toddler next door and so I opened it and we both took a piece as we were shopping. The chocolate tasted a bit odd so I looked at the package and noticed it was expired by almost a whole year. I was raving about this place to my friends and family who live in cypress because the coffee was reasonably priced and the pastries were good. However, I will no longer give my money to this business because one of the workers there were extremely rude to my kind husband who went to ask about the expired chocolate before he even requested a refund. The women who was servicing him did refund him but maliciously laughed out loud at him for taking a few bites which was from me too. She gave him attitude and was assuming sarcastically that my husband consumed half when he and I consumed one row on our first bite as the chocolate bar was small to start with. Overall, it was very uncalled for and unprofessional to a returning customer. read more
