HVAC HUMIDIFIER, repair/replace question, called twice, promised call back, nothing. These guys will listen to installing new stuff for high prices, but if you need service support after, you get ZERO priority. They installed my furnace and new ducts several years ago, and when I had issues, they weren't there to support it. read more

Casey (sales) and Tom (owner) are some of the best I have come across in HVAC. We encountered some issues with a new system they installed but they stood behind their work and fixed the problem. read more

Modern Air Solutions did an amazing job replacing my HVAC units. Quick, professional, very fairly priced! I took advantage and signed up for maintenance through them as well. Great deal! read more

I was with another company for many years but something changed. The tech who usually came left that company, and his replacement was two hours late and couldn't diagnose the error that was being indicated by the flashing light on the furnace. His recommendation was to use the filter with the lowest MERV available. So I tried Modern Air Solutions. The technician was on time, thorough, and after electronic diagnosis, asked if he could check out the floor vents. Within seconds we realized that we had covered a floor vent with a box. With two other vents already being closed, that created a back pressure problem. Moved the box, the light stopped flashing and has never come back. So I changed my biannual service provide to Modern. Each subsequent tech, including Karl most recently, has been great. The old company failed to offer a service renewal after a consistent 8 year run since they had installed the unit, so they seemed to know things weren't going well. read more

Modern Air does all our HVAC repair and installation, not only at our home in Naperville, but at our investment properties in Oswego. I've been using them for years and am very satisfied with their service, professionalism, quick response and action. Today's service was an installation of air conditioning and furnace units at one of our duplexes. The problem occurred on Monday and two days later the installation occurred. I appreciate that our tenants did not have to go too long without AC. I highly recommend Tom and his staff at Modern Air. read more

Unfortunately, ... I had the worst experience with Modern Air Solutions in Oswego, IL simply I called them, to check my furnace which wasn't working, their technician diagnosed the problem to be the Capacitor and asked me to buy it from them which cost $265, while the original Carrier Capacitor on the market was $20!!! and it's only plug-and-play, no handy work needed. I looked online, I found it, I showed it to the technician he approved, and I bought it online, just plug and play... but unfortunately it didn't fix the problem !!!. When I called them to tell them that, they simply turned me to "Jennifer" who was extremely disrespectful and uncooperative and just kept talking without listening, and when I asked her if she prefers to reject without even listening she said "YES.. that's the best" ... so it was a bad experience and I would never recommend to anyone ... read more

I've used Modern Air for several of our hvac needs they are always super prompt, and most Importantly--SUPER FRIENDLY! They just installed an air purifier for us and I am so grateful that they mentioned it at one of my previous Maintenance appointments with them because it's just what we needed to keep our business safe. I love modern air! read more

Well, where do I start? It's a month and a half later and we are finally confident our new furnace is functioning properly. We dealt with a broken furnace for a full month! A month in which we experienced temperatures hit lows in the 30's and even had accumulations of snow! We had over 8 visits and spent over $3000! We spent countless days without heat. We spent countless days with an unsafe furnace. We had to request days off of work to be available for services. We had to spend countless days running our furnace at full heat consistently without the ability to turn it down while we were asleep or at work. The expenses and inconveniences this experience brought us are immense. This company also advertises 24 hour service. This is 100% false! We were even told one time "If we come on the weekend it'll cost you more." How absurd is it that you would even put that burden on a customer who is cold and needing relief! (Not to mention who has also already spent $3000 on a new furnace that you installed incorrectly) When the owner of the company finally came to our property (45 minutes LATE) he had the audacity to try and make a joke about why I wasn't home. He said to my husband something along the lines of, "She calls me out here and then she's not even here?" How disrespectful. We had an appointment at 9am. At 9:45, I had to leave for a prior commitment. To make matters worse, in order to attempt to make up for their shortcomings, they asked if we wanted gift cards to local Geneva business. Really? No! All we wanted was our furnace to be fixed! If anything, we shouldn't have had to pay for the new furnace! Or received a discount for their actual services. I simply do not recommend this company to anyone. Worst experience in a very long time. read more

Spoke with manager and versus trying to figure out the customers issue they are 100% sure they are sticking by their employees regardless if the customer is right.I have added a recording to show the unfair treatment that this company has and I ado not recommend them to anyone.I spoke with two women that wanted to argue and stand up for their company instead of admitting their wrong. This technician came to my house drain my have system so that they can get extra money.Seems like they are fraud.I don't recommend them for anyone. Also the guy was sickly with red eyes a runny nose. They don't ensure there employees are healthy so please beware read more

Outstanding job. They came out right away, gave me an honest diagnosis, provided a very reasonable quote and installed the furnace and AC unit two days later. The installation guys were kind and courteous, showed me how to run each unit and also helped setup the new thermostat on my phone. Jim Allen read more

Tony was awesome! He first came out to repair the compressor on our A/C on a 90-degree day and was punctual and helpful. He then came out the following to clean and service our furnace. He was friendly and completed the work thoroughly, and he was helpful in making sure everything was in proper working condition for us to sell our house! read more

The technicians pay attention to detail, pride themselves on doing great work, and are very knowledgeable.

After trying to reach out to MANY other HVAC contractors over a year's period of time and getting absolutely nowhere, one e-mail message to Modern Air via Facebook instant messaging got me an appointment next day. They were very easy to work with, worked around my schedule (which I very much appreciated), and came to the house exactly when they said they would. This, in comparison to another contractor who had an appointment scheduled days in advance back in Nov. 2016 and failed to show up and didn't call (and when I reached out to him, apologized and re-scheduled for the next day and AGAIN did not show up), was a welcomed surprise. Karl was very knowledgeable, courteous, and just an all-around nice guy who did great work for a reasonable cost. He didn't go out of his way to simply make money and recommend that I get a new humidifier because the humidistat had gone bad. He just gave me the facts on fixing it for just over $200 or so, and then advising me on the cost of a brand new unit. It made more sense to me to replace a 10 year old humidifier vs. simply repairing one part, but he never pressured me either way. He simply educated me on the benefits of both, and I opted to replace it as it seemed to be the better investment. As an insurance agent, I have a large clientele who always ask me for recommendations on home contractors for the purposes of repair or diagnostics (especially due to claims, but just in general home conversations as well). I will go out of my way to recommend Modern Air Solutions moving forward to all my friends, family and clients. Thank you to Tom, Jennifer, Karl and staff for a great experience in light of all the issues I've had this past year with my heating and a/c needs. I don't need to look any further, any longer, in keeping my home comfortable. read more

I had Modern Air Solutions come to my house and look to see why my air conditioner is making a weird noise. They were the second company I called because I didn't entirely trust the first one. Long story short, I ended up not using Modern Air Solutions for various reasons BUT Tom was amazing in his follow through. He asked why I didn't choose them and I was honest. He took my feedback and used it to help train his technicians. That all being said, I want to emphasize that they are worth calling out to your house and getting a quote. I was really impressed with Tom and his follow through. read more

We needed to get the central A/C unit in one of our rental units in Schaumburg replaced as it just died a few weeks ago. Our realtor had recommended Tom at Modern Air Solutions last fall when we were thinking about replacing the old A/C unit. He quoted us a great price on installation of a new A/C unit, but we decided to try to keep the existing unit for at least another year. Unfortunately, it didn't even last the first day of use this summer. So I called Tom and asked if he could replace the A/C at the price he quoted last fall. He replied back that he could still honor the price so I scheduled for them to come and do the install. Carl came first thing in the morning on a Friday installing the new unit, but unfortunately I had to get the circuit board replaced because the old unit needed only 120V, but these new units need 220V. We needed to get the circuit board changed in order to get a 220V line to the A/C unit. I was able to get an electrician to replace the circuit board the next Monday and Carl came back that same day to finish the install. By the end of the day, the A/C was running perfectly. I will definitely call Modern Air Solutions again if I need any HVAC work done in the future. They were very professional and gave me a great price for a new A/C unit! read more

Starting with the sales process, Casey was incredibly knowledgeable, answering all of our questions, and providing with general HVAC information. We learned allot about this subject, to help us make an informed decision. We liked that we were presented with 4 options to choose from. We couldn't be more pleased. Fabian and Nathan initially verified what was being done, and we confirmed the installation of furnace and A/C systems. They were efficient, clean and kept us apprised of their progress and never stopped for a break or lunch. The utility room was spotless, and when they were done with the installation, they showed how to program and use the Ecobee thermostat. Fabian talked to us about maintenance program, and also scheduled our first maintenance visit. Both guys were highly organized and we're most friendly and professional. From start to finish, the entire process was seamless and easy. We highly recommend this company. read more

Tom and the team at Modern Air Solutions are my first call if there is ever a problem with heat or air conditioning. The first time I called them, we had a few rooms that were not heating sufficiently. We thought they would suggest a new furnace or some other costly repair. What they showed us was poor airflow from the original installation. These guys are magicians and artists. They rebuilt ductwork in the basement to improve flow and voila! It's like we have a new system for a fraction of the cost! Definitely a company you can trust. read more

Our experiences with Modern Air have been outstanding! We have used them twice in the past few months and they were amazing each time. Very friendly and helpful. Coldest day in decades and woke up to find our furnace wasn't working properly. Called our "usual" service provider that advertises 24/7 emergency service, and after 20 minutes on hold before someone finally answered, found they only had techs working 10-3 today. Temp in the house dropped to 45, so we looked for someone else local. MAS answered the call immediately, had a tech dispatched who also called me immediately. He showed up at our house within an hour and had it resolved within an hour! Super friendly and thorough. We have definitely found a new provider! Thank you!! read more

Wow..... so impressed with the service of this company. I called around for a few quotes to fix the motor on my furnace... Modern Air had the best customer service. The man I spoke with was insanely friendly, so down to earth and HONEST. Great pricing compared to local companies too. They didn't try to overcharge us like another company we called and I am so grateful for that. The tech that fixed our furnace was very knowledgeable and thorough. He gave us an overview on the mechanics of the furnace, which I really appreciated. Overall, I couldn't be any happier and will continue to share my wonderful experience with everyone I can! read more

We had a new furnace installed by Modern Air. It was great service from start to finish. Tom, the sales rep,, came prepared with brochures for all the furnace choices and accessories like humidifiers. No high pressure sales tactics. He patiently answered all of our many questions. After leaving our house, he emailed us a proposal that included prices on a variety of furnaces and any add-ons we might want to do - humidifier, air cleaner, etc. I was very impressed with his presentation of information from the nice folder with all the brochures and all the different prices on the proposal. It was the most organized proposal we received and we really appreciated the way it was presented so clearly. Install went smoothly and the two installers were very friendly and polite.
