Woke up this morning, no sound from our A/C and i placed an immediate call to Jason, our multi-year trusted advisor at 4Suns... within an hour, he dispatched Rich to our house to attend to the inattentive unit. I just recently purchased a home that needed a tune up for the furnace. I don't ever leave any reviews but I had to for these guys. I came home from work, and noticed the AC unit outside running but no cold air coming out of the vents. Called multiple HVAC places but no one was available or wanted to come out just to look under $175. These guys saved my house from disaster. I left the country over the holidays, and on Christmas morning I happened to check my Nest App and saw that it was 39 degrees inside my house. This was the week of the Polar Vortex in December 2013. I knew that I didn't have much time before the pipes would freeze, burst, and flood my house. I was in France and basically helpless to do anything. I emailed Four Suns and explained the situation, and on the morning after Christmas they went to my house. They'd been there before for another HVAC issue I had and I trust them enough to tell them how to get into my house when I wasn't there. They fixed the igniter on my gas heater and warmed up my house before any damage was done. I think it even took me a few days to get payment to them because I had to email my credit information and such and they were very understanding. I'm so grateful to them for going above and beyond--during Christmas--to help me save my house when I couldn't do anything for it. Give your business to them! read more

Four Suns is a family owned business and we have had nothing but pleasant experiences with them. Our AC broke down just before the first heat waver to hit Chicago at end of June. Called Four Suns and they came out the next morning to check the unit. As it turned out we needed a new AC. Four Suns managed to squeeze us in their very busy schedule and installed a new unit the next day, just in time before the temperature went up to the 90's. Excellent customer service!!! Four sons replaced my furnace 2 years ago and, more recently, my AC unit. Of course the AC unit broke during a stretch of hot summer days and even though the company was very busy, they still found the time to stop by the same day I called. The technician tried a few things to fix our 20 year old AC unit in hopes to make it last a little longer and save us some money. He thoroughly explained the problem and after walking through the pros and cons we decided that we would go with a new unit. We scheduled time for them to do the install but since they were so busy they couldn't make it out any sooner than a week. Since we would be without AC for week, Four Sons was nice enough to install a portable AC unit for my 5 month old twins bedroom! Life saver! And to top it off, they were able to come 4 days earlier then expected to do the install - truly appreciated! In my experience, Four Sons work hard to put their customers first. They are honest, reliable guys who have never tried to up sell us products or services and their prices are very reasonable. We now have a cool house and happy babies. Our bedroom was a hot 89 degrees when we came home after work. Apparently our attic AC is not working! Luckily I have a home warranty and they found me four suns to help fix the issue. I called on Friday morning and many companies were overbooked. Some even refused to accept the job. Four suns accepted the job but they can't come out until Monday morning. Can you imagine a weekend without AC in the middle of summer? But I don't have much of a choice do I? Then I got a call from four suns around noon, they think they can squeeze me in and send someone over in 10 minutes! I was jumping with joy. The technician Rich is knowledgeable and fixed the problem within an hour. My AC unit is 24 yrs old. I think some companies might try to scam me to replace it with a new one. But four suns didn't. Woke up to find A/C was not working on one of hottest days of summer. Called at 730 am to schedule repair. Talked to Jason on phone, and by 845 he was at the house to repair. Less than an hour later, AC is back up and running. Very pleasant to deal with, didn't try to add things here and there to replace. Freon was a little low, so he topped that off free of charge. Much cheaper than what I would have expected. They have also fixed a small furnace issue a couple years ago, with the same prompt and friendly service. Very highly recommended. read more

Zero stars. Four Sons was sent to repair a weak AC unit via my HWA warranty service. The contractor got here and ignored everything that I tried to explain to him. He was rude, unprofessional, and he refused to even check the capacitor issue that spurred this HWA claim in the first place. I had my own independent HVAC technician look at the capacitor in the blower motor, and he said it was shot and that it needed replacement. However, this Four Sons guy wouldn't even LOOK at it! Instead, he proceeded to go outside, and without my knowledge or confirmation he pumped 4 pounds of Freon R-22 into my aging HVAC cooling system. Then he comes in and asks for a payment of close to $240, stating that HWA only covers $10-worth of R-22. Neither the contractor or HWA made any attempt to inform me of this charge for the Freon R-22. I was clearly told in an email from HWA that I would only be liable for a $100-deductible for this service. Any additional amount that would potentially have to come out of my pocket, should have absolutely been made aware to me BEFORE this service was performed! The contractor and HWA did *NOT* do this, or even attempt to do this. I absolutely would have refused the service had I known the cost ahead of time, especially considering that I plan to replace the whole HVAC system in a year or two. So I would have NEVER sunk an additional $240 into a dying system. A $100-deductible, yes. $240 for Freon R-22, absolutely not. And the absolute worst thing is this: The 4 pounds of Freon R-22 that this contractor pumped into my system is just going to leak out in the coming weeks/months anyways. The contractor made ZERO attempt to even look for, or repair the leak! The contractor even admitted this, and he fully expects it to happen! He stated that there was most likely a leak (and he didn't even need to say that, since it is obvious that there is a leak considering that 2/3 of the system's R-22 was gone in the first place)! So not only did this contractor show a complete disregard to me and my HVAC cooling system, but he showed a complete disregard for the ENVIRONMENT considering that 4 pounds of Freon R-22 is about to knowingly leak out of a faulty cooling system. Goodbye ozone layer, hello skin cancer. Good contractors fix problems, and they leave with the customer happy. This is not one of them. Avoid them at all costs. read more
