These guys are the real deal. Just purchased a furnace and had it installed. The owner stopped out at my house personally to measure my house and discuss my concerns regarding furnace size (BTUs). He insisted on a smaller unit as it better fits the house despite the fact that they would have made more selling me the larger one. The receptionist was very friendly and helpful coordinating the whole thing, and setting up the financing. The installation happened the following day (meaning I was only without heat for one night) and the unit works like a charm. I'm fairly handy, so had lots of questions, and the technicians had no problem explaining everything they were doing. Highly recommend these guys! read more

I hired them to correct the wiring issue after installing new zone values. It was a simple job and the boiler worked perfectly for last season. All they were supposed to do was, just do it exactly as how the other boiler was set up. They took 5 visits to fix the simple wiring and slapped me with a $2,550 bill. First visit: 2 guys came and removed old wiring and installed new wiring. Obviously, they have no idea what to do. Complained about boiler transformer, thermostats, and new zone values and gave up and left. Second visit: They sent a different guy adjusted some wiring and left. Guess what, that only worked for one zone and others have no heat. Third visit: Came again and complained about thermostats installed by first visit guys and replaced them and left. No heat again in other apartments Forth visit: Same story....no heat Fifth visit: This time I was frustrated and told them explicitly, that your wiring was wrong and just followed how exactly was done in another boiler. Finally followed my directions and corrected the wiring. They were supposed to do it on day one in less than an hour. Basically, they had no clue how to fix it and still took the job. I have been telling from day one, that you guys are doing the wiring wrong. They completely ignored me and made 5 visits to fix a simple wiring. This boiler serves heat for 5 apartments. It means 25 calls to my tenants to test the heating. Boilers are pretty simple technology and they work flawlessly. Just to slap me with the bill, they changed unnecessarily so many things for the perfectly working boiler. I strongly suggest staying away from this company if you would like to protect your money and equipment. I regret hiring them based on Goolge's reviews. Just recently had our furnace checked for the winter on 11/8/22. Our tech guy(Mike) was awesome. He took the time out to explain in detail what was the issue with the hot water tank, which was minor. And the cost if we wanted to repaired it. Since it was minor, we took his recommendation to wait to do the repair. It was replace on 1/4/21 by Amazing and wkg. fine. As for our furnace Mike did the complete check and cleaning, while replacing all the filters that needed to be changed. After he was done, again Mike took the time to explain about the furnace since it is 14yrs. old. All of this within the approx. hour that he was here. Installed an inadequate/defective furnace in my home. Doug (owner) is rude, uncaring and unprofessional. office assistant Lynn lied about rebate then tried to say it was given to me as an instant rebate to be applied towards a humidifier that I purchased from them? refuses to replace unit. when it's negative temperature outside. The furnace won't heat past 60 degrees. I was told by their service man Mike. Because it's a heat efficiency furnace? I can turn up the thermostat as high as I would like and it won't go past 60 degrees. I will continue to report this company and demand a replacement of the unit. Their also stealing customers rebates through a bait and switch. They work with Liheap/Community contacts to install furnaces under their program. They treat Liheap customers like trash because they feel they're not paying for the furnace. I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone. OUTSTANDING experience with everyone at Amazing. I wanted a gas heater installed in our garage as a surprise for my husband's birthday. He was out of town so it was a super tight window to make it happen. I called and they were here within hours to figure out a plan. They were extra helpful in deciding where to vent the heater to make sure it wasn't too obvious/obnoxious on the outside of the house. I received an estimate within hours and they were back installing the next day. I'm sure it doesn't always work out like that with the timing but I was super grateful to get it done so quickly and easily. Every single person was friendly, responsive and knowledgable. "Amazing" is right! Doug and Mike saved the day (and my dog's life!) Several weeks ago, I had a different well-known Aurora company come out to service my furnace. Mysteriously, after they left, my air conditioner no longer worked. I had them back out to give me a quote and it was going to cost me around $4,500 to get a new unit. I was told that there was no way my old unit could be repaired. I called Amazing Air in North Aurora. Doug came out to give me a quote on a new air conditioner, but *first* he decided to see if I really *needed* a new one. He had Mike repair my current air conditioner, and saved me $4,063! I would never use this place again. They took advantage of my 73 year old mother-in-law. Our air went out and she was kind enough to be here for the tech to come. We needed a capacitor replaced that is between $25 and $50. Tech was here for less than 50 minutes. He charged her over $400 for the part and labor and then $100 for the dispatch call. When we contacted owner to have him review the bill he just stated that he has union workers and that the only thing he could do was refund the $100 dispatch fee. Never again!!!! read more

Amazing is, well....AMAZING! We had an issue with our air conditioning unit on Father's Day, and upon making the phone call to Amazing, we were up and running with cool air within a few hours. The technician returned our call within a half hour of our original call, and he discussed troubleshooting options and offered suggestions for possible repairs necessary. We opted to have him come out that day, and he detected the issue and literally had us up and running within 10 minutes! Too bad zero stars is not an option. On May 8th I had Amazing Air come out to perform a clean and tune up. I paid Amazing Air $134.00 and was told that every thing was checked and working fine. On May 27th my air conditioning went dead. I had Amazing Air come out to identify the problem. The service tech came out, reviewed the A/C unit and came back to me and said I owed him $397.00 to replace a capacitor. He never got my approval to perform the work. FYI...I was told that this was not a holiday rate. The holiday rate would have been $475.00. Had the tech came to me for permission to go ahead and change it out for $397.00, I would have refused the work and looked for a cheaper rate. FYI...I could purchase the 'exact' same capacitor from a parts house for $61.95. I called Amazing Air today to discuss the situation and was so badly treated, I simply had to enter this review. The conversation, started our politely, with the person who answered the phone. During our discussion, I was transferred, with warning to a manager. Herein lies the problem. When I tried to explain that I was concerned that the tech did not handle to service call properly and I would have looked elsewhere for a lower price, he kept interrupting me. HE WOULD ALLOW ME TO SPEAK!!! I could not interrupt him!!! The mostly one way conversation got a bit heated. He told, several times, that he was in business for 34 years and Amazing Air is committed to customer service. Check out some of the other reviews. He basically told me that I have two options. #1..pay the bill, or #2.. He would have someone come out and reinstall a 'broken' capacitor for the visit fee of $199.00 and I can go elsewhere to have a new capacitor installed. The manger was unreasonable and had zero interest in hearing what I had to say. I took the day off work to have my furnace cleaned and checked. When I made the appointment I requested that a specific technician not provide the service based on our past experience with him. The scheduler was great and said she would send a technician whom I've worked with before who is knowledgeable and efficient and was scheduled in my area. So who showed up today...the technician I requested not provide the service. I asked him to wait in his truck so I could call the scheduler. She apologized and said the schedule had been changed by the owner and the requested technician was sent to another home to repair a furnace (I have no doubt they couldn't send the technician who showed up at my house due to his skill level). I was not happy that I was not told about the change and I took the day off work for the service. I moved another appointment on Wednesday to reschedule the original technician. I told the scheduler I'd be happy to talk to the owner about my past experience resulting in my request but she assured me that wouldn't be necessary. An hour later I received a call from another associate and she told me the owner cancelled my Wednesday appointment because I "wasn't a good fit" for their company. I was shocked! I asked if the owner was available so I could speak with him and she said yes and then she got back on the phone and said he was busy. I'm certain he wasn't busy providing customer service or interviewing knowledgable technicians. He couldn't be bothered and had his employees do his dirty work. The associate told me to contact the Radio Shopping Show where I purchased the furnace clean & check certificate to get a refund. I told the associate I had referred 3 other families to their company and 2 had issues with the same technician. As a business owner I thought he would be interested in the feedback since these issues are affecting his reputation as customers are discussing their experiences. A previous technician, Joel, used to service our area, and he was great, but he had the good sense to quit this company. After today, I'm not surprised. After reading another one star review I feel it's interesting that I was quoted an overinflated price for a capacitor replacement on my central air conditioner. I called another company who did it for 20% of what the customer was charged. Amazing should change their name to Disappointing & Overpriced. The WBIG Radio Show needs to discontinue promoting this company. Consumers beware! read more
