Holy cow. We just bought an older house and Plumb-It has been a lifesaver! They came out when we found wet pipes in the basement from under our shower and diagnosed new tiling being needed. Then we got a new fridge without an ice maker, and the old pipe was leaking. They came out and fixed that. Then a clogged bathroom sink drain caused a problem and they came out and replaced the overly clogged pipe and I had them install a new toilet and shut off valves under the sink. In just a few weeks we've needed them three times and every time, the owner Scott helped us through the issue, got us in the schedule, and his workers did a great job. They cleaned up, were friendly, explained everything... I will never call anyone else for plumbing issues. Be patient as they are swamped right now, but holy cow, this business is amazing. read more

We used them with some success in the beginning. Their prices are generally fair and quality is okay for small jobs, but the bigger job we lost our faith in them. Maybe our experience was just a fluke, but it's definitely enough of a a bad experience to write this review. Like I said we had some small jobs done with them that went okay. Prices were fair and quality wasn't bad. Then we had a major clog in our sewer system and sewage was coming up our laundry room drainpipe. We called them and they came out pretty fast. The water had since mostly drained so they augured the pipe in our laundry room drain, but they realized their auger wasn't long enough to reach the clog, so they they uprooted our bathroom toilet which was an extra cost which was unfortunate but I guess I understand. The ended up finding the clog this way. One thing I was not keen on was the absolute mess they left. I don't know if it's normal or not, but our laundry room and bathroom had a massive amount of sewage all over the floor that they didn't clean at all from the auguring. It was quite disgusting and their boots spread it into the hallway too. Anyways, they guesstimated by feel of the pipe where it seemed like the clog was. It turned out to be roots getting into the pipe. We filed a claim with our insurance and asked if they could tell us definitively if the break in the pipe was under our porch or past our porch. I asked them to come out and measure if it's under our porch, since if it's under the porch it's not covered. He told us over the phone that he knew it was under the porch, just past the basement wall, but that they would come out anyways. They didn't open up the sewer line and they just guessed that it was right at the wall exiting the basement again. He measured the porch, but It didn't really make a lot of sense how he was measuring. He said it's under the porch, but we trusted it and decided we had to pay the whole thing out of pocket. Then the planning for the fix came. This was where our trust really deteriorated. We asked Scott to give us a quote for the project. He told us the best option was to reroute our entire sewer line on a completely different wall in our basement and that it would be less expensive for us compared to excavating it. He was quoting ~$9000 and said that he contacted other's opinions and told us that he was being honest whereas other plumbers might not be and it wouldn't make any sense to do it any other way and to not go with other people because they'll do it wrong. He said that other people would do it cheaply or a simple patch and our porch would thus collapse. Our insurance agent advised us to shop around a little for quotes, but when we mentioned that to Scott, he was a bit condescending on the phone with my fiance. He guilted him for spending time coming up with the project and that other people are going to do it wrong. We said we were thankful, but we just wanted to see what other opinions were especially if we had to pay that much out of pocket. Anyways, we kept asking him to fill out a proper quote not just an estimate, but I think after we said we were even just thinking of getting other quotes he started ignoring us. We never even said we were not going to go with his company, but he totally ghosted us after. We tried emailing and calling many times. We left voicemails, and bumped emails for weeks and it was radio silence. It was a blessing in disguise though. We found another plumber after months of being ignored by Scott. This other plumber from a different company actually opened the cap on our sewer line in the basement, identified the clog, measured out how far in the clog was, measured our porch, and found the clog was literally past our porch so it was all covered by insurance and was half the price. We've since gotten it all fixed and I'm so grateful for it. It didn't really feel like Scott really cared much about how we had to pay out of pocket and our new plumber said it was a little weird that he thought that his solution was to reroute the entire sewer system instead. Plus the proposed new sewer line would have to cross almost every single utility line to get back to the sewer line in our yard and would be in close proximity to several large trees. Not to mention that he seemingly ignored us after telling him we were going to look at other quotes. I understand it's frustrating to put in some time for a project and it isn't followed through, but he hadn't even written up the full quote yet and we had payed him to do all the diagnosing and he didn't really help us narrow down exactly where the clog is for insurance purposes. Idk. If you're looking for a small job, they might work okay for you, but we didn't have a very good experience on a big job unfortunately. read more

Plumbing issues never happen at a convenient time, so I attribute negative reviews for Plumb-It to people who are already stressed out over last minute repairs and the last minute bill that comes along with it. We were very happy with Plumb-It's service and prices. We discovered some water in our basement one morning, all pooled in one area. When we looked up, we saw water rolling off of one of the pipes. It appeared it may have come from the air duct, and since we just had new A/C installed, I wanted to believe it was condensation or a mistake on behalf of the A/C company. After the A/C company came back and checked it out, they delivered the news that it was a broken pipe. I asked for recommendations, I called a different plumbing company first and got no answer, but Plumb It was available. While on the phone, he advised me that to come out that evening would put them in emergency call hours - meaning big bucks spent by us. While it was something that needed attention quickly, I decided to wait until the following day, and we turned the water off for the night. I really appreciated how straightforward he was on the phone. The following day, Plumb It arrived not on time, but EARLY. The problem was quickly diagnosed and we were given two options for repair, both of which involved drilling. My husband called me on the phone (knowing I'd have a cow if I came home to weird drill holes and pipes sticking out of the wall), and Plumb It didn't seem to mind the delay. They were also upfront about the costs - one option was less costly than the other. We ultimately went with their preferred option, which was also the less expensive one. The job was complete in no time at all and they cleaned up after themselves before leaving. Yesterday, I found out that my guest bathroom shower was only running scalding hot water and needed this fixed for my parents to be able to shower. I called so many people to see if anyone would be available to come out that day to fix it. No one had availability until next week. Our water heater suddenly stopped working. My husband called a company and they sent a guy out. He stood in the doorway of our laundry room, took a picture then preceeded to tell us nothing could be done and we'd have to pay 2400.00 to replace it. BIGGEST DISSPOINMENT - REAL REVIEW - The team was nice when they came to my house, main word is CAME, and then LOOKED MY PREGNANT WIFE UP AND DOWN (DISREPECTFUL) then after going through 3 holes in my house as you see in the pics, they could not figure out the problem. Finally i called them back stating it maybe the filter on a shower handle, and i had an idea since I had a friend of mine who tried it, they DENIED it woudl be the issue at first, and at the end it was RIGHT! Scott is the absolute best! I first came across him and his service about a year ago when I wanted to install a reverse osmosis water filtration system in my house. Knowing that I would completely botch the job myself and probably cut off a limb or at least a finger, I reached out to good old Yelp! for a trusty plumber; there I found Scott. I called him and asked if he could do such an installation. He said he didn't know, had never done it before but would like to learn. We agreed on a price and out he came. He did an outstanding job, the system works flawlessly and no one lost an appendage. Best yet, I had my man for all things plumbing. Fast forward to today. My mom is old and lives alone. She had a leak in her basement. I called Scott and asked him if he could head over there. He was there right on time. I was supposed to be there too to help Mom understand what was happening because she gets nervous about things like this except my car didn't start. So I phoned Scott and asked him if he could be my eyes and ears for my mom and let her know what was happening. He agreed. Then I called my mom, told her to let Scott in and that I would be there ASAP. She did. And just as I got my car jumped, Scott phoned back and said he had fixed the problem. Seems that there was dry rot around the valve of the sump pump. Nasty thing that dry rot. Anyway, Scott said he felt funny about going back up to my mom's house because she's old and a little confused to give her an invoice so I agreed to just mail him a check. That's the kind of guy he is. While I had him on the phone, I told him my brother had just bought a townhouse (thank God because he's been living in my house with me for 18 months while he goes through a divorce - I mean I love him and all but it was cramping my style a wee bit!) and that there was a problem with the pump in his jacuzzi tub and asked if Scott knew of someone who could fix a gas leak. He said "Yeah. I do gas leaks too." So off he went to my brother's house on the spot and fixed everything there too. Now that's a guy who's getting it done. And he's honest and does great work. We found a plumber! We found a plumber! Sounds ridiculous, right? Not really. Finding a reliable, reasonable, professional and knowledgeable plumber is a lot harder than you would think. Here's our story: We had a non-functioning toilet that my husband and I tried to repair ourselves (mistake). Complicating matters was the "banjo" countertop over the toilet that made it near impossible to fix anything. We didn't want to call a plumber, because our past experience had been that we would have to beg, borrow and steal to get one to come to our house and not overcharge us.
