Requested toilet replacement due to bad flange on existing toilet creating sewer smell in bathroom and, if needed, a drain clean out. Waited a week for an afternoon appointment. Morning of appointment, plumber calls to reschedule to that morning due to a personal appointment he had scheduled that afternoon. We scramble to accommodate but inform that due to reschedule there's no one to help carry the toilet up and light of stairs. Instant attitude. Plumber arrives with helper, is rude, condescending, asking why we want the toilet replaced, I list the services requested. He then denys there's drain clean out requested while waving his phone around telling me I'll have to reschedule. There's an obvious sewer smell in the bathroom, yet he can't smell anything. I tell him that was the purpose for his being there. He again denies it's on the service request so I tell him I'll call husband, he states he'll go get the toilet. I'd had my husband on the phone listening to all of this the whole time when plumber arrived and started being rude to me. Told husband I wasn't going to have someone in my home that I'm paying for a service, that is being so rude to me, that now don't trust to do this service. He agreed. I went to garage and cancelled service. He tells me I owe him $59. I tell him I'll call his office, he repeats I owe him $59. I tell him I'm not paying him a dime, I'll call his office and to leave. He says some choice words, I tell him good luck at his Drs appt. While closing garage door. Handy more choice words, I then tell him to get off my property or I'm calling the police. He leaves, I go inside. Husband's still on the phone and heard everything. He's outraged and called their office. Plumber told then owner I was nasty to him, was told that my husband heard everything because he was on the phone with me the whole time. Apologies were said and he asked if he could send someone else out, we've declined their service. read more

$325 to change a cartridge in the bathtub faucet and the water pressure is even worse now.

When my old kitchen sink faucet started leaking for a second time (it was first "fixed" by a general handyman) , I knew I needed to replace it and call in a professional plumber! Unfortunately, my preferred plumber was on vacation and not available. InSink made it easy to make an appointment. I located a replacement sink, and Adam came and installed it. He was on time and professional. While he was there, I told him about the issues I was having and asked about the compatibility with the new sink. He patiently answered all of my questions. He was even patient with my young children, who were enamored by his tools and the work that he was doing. I would be happy to use InSink in the future. read more

INSINK Plumbing - Adam from InSink came to replace our leaking kitchen fixture - Plumbing Near Me

We used InSink as a recommendation from a relative. We purchased a faucet and were charged $279 for the installation. Two valves were replaced, and it was found leaking during the faucet installation, at a charge of $299 each. The cost for a valve is approximately $30.00. Overpriced service. I would call them "the Golden Stich". The total bill was approximately $900. I called around to other reputable Plumming companies I should have used. So, for the same services, it would have been a service call $179 for 1 hour of work and the cost of 2 valves. InSink charged $900, while other Plumming companies would have charged $358 for 2 hours of work, as I supplied the faucet and the cost of 2 valves. Buyer beware, and shop around. You want to know if it's unit costs or a services call. In my situation, a services call would have been cheaper. read more

The pilot light went out and would not light on my 17 year old water heater. Jr came out very quickly and gave me options that included a new unit and what it would take to repair. He also showed me why some of my valves and hookups needed to be replaced but he put no pressure on me to do it. Extremely knowledgeable. I've found my plumbers for any future projects. read more

I have unfortunately needed plumbing work twice in the last six months. Used this company twice and was satisfied with the service and fee seemed fair. Both times they were prompt, polite and did a good job. The men made sure not to make a mess, then cleaned up. Explained what work was needed and gave me a fair estimate before doing the work. I would definitely use them again. . read more

Gary came out in a pinch to take a look at a couple of leaks for me, was on time, professional, thorough and fair. Would definitely use again read more

Junior from InSink was able to join my home inspection. He was professional, thorough, and courteous. I could be happier with the service!

I had a leaking showerhead, meaning that the Moen cartridge in the handle needed to be replaced. I've done it before, but it can be a major project for a novice plumber. InSink provided a reasonable quote which I accepted, I scheduled an appointment, and their plumbers actually showed up a few minutes early on the day I scheduled. Gary and Joey were friendly and professional, completed the job in about an hour, and cleaned up when they were done. I highly recommend. read more

A clogged toilet and over flowing ejector pit on New Year's Eve...InSink quickly returned our call and was to our home in less than 20 minutes. The problem was quickly diagnosed and explained in layman's terms. They presented multiple options to choose from to fix the problem and were wrapped up in about 2 hours. All things considered, we were charged a more than fair overtime and emergency call out rate, and the charge for parts and labor was in line with our expectations. InSink will be our go-to plumbing service from now on. read more

These guys have done a couple plumbing jobs for me (a broken sewer line and replacing some cast iron pipes) and they are amazing. Outstanding customer service and great workmanship. I recommend them to family members without any reservations. An easy five stars. read more

Great, quick service! They were prompt, friendly, thorough and cleaned up when they were finished!

LOL, I go to the InSink yelp page to do a review and I see the picture of the snowy yard being excavated and did a double-take. Hey, that's my yard! We had some recurring problems with the sewer line getting blocked, and the outfit we were using back then (won't name them but it rhymes with Roto-Scooter) claimed we needed $10K+ worth of work to replace a supposedly broken pipe. I brought in InSink to get a second opinion because I thought I was getting scammed, and it looks like I was. InSink cleared the problem, and we had them install an outside cleanout, which is the snowy digging going on in the photo . They were great. read more

We needed to have our sewer replaced from the house to the street. It could not be lined as it was sagging, so excavation was required. Gary, Jr. and Gary, Sr. (owners) gave us a reasonable price and prompt service. The job took much longer than they expected due to several abandoned sewer lines and drainage tiles that were discovered and had to be investigated. They did a great job, both with the work and in dealing with the Village of Lombard because of unforeseen complications with the connection to the sewer under the street. We did pay a bit more than the original quote due to all the extra time involved, but they could easily have asked for much more and it would have been justified. A lot of plumbers will hit you up for all sorts of extras and try to scam you (just look at the Yelp reviews for some of these other companies), but these guys are very straight forward and easy to work with. We highly recommend them. read more

So the pilot light went out on my hot water heater. It's happened before and I was able to start it after trying a number of times. This time I could see that there was no flash to light the burner. Otherwise, the tank looks great and had no other problems that I know about. I knew that this water heater could be repaired, which is why I had problems finding a plumber to fix it. I have learned that many plumbing contractors really don't want to repair your water heater even though they advertise that they do. I had several plumbers out to see the water heater and both told me, without even touching the water heater, that a. the unit was over 8 years old; and b. it could not be repairs; or b. the gas valve was broken and repairs would be between $ 500 and $ 600. Also, I thought the unit was younger, but I never looked it up as I believed what I was told. Bottom line, I believe many plumbers really don't want to do small jobs but would rather sell you a new unit. Then, I call InSink Plumbers out of Carol Stream, Illinois, owned by Sr. and Junior, the son, who came to my house. Here's what he told me: a. Yes I like to make repairs to water heaters. b. No your hot water heater is under six years old. c. Yes the warranty for parts expires in November of 2018. d. No the gas valve is not broken. e. Yes the water heater looks good and could/should last for several more years; and f. No you don't need a new water heater because I can repair it right now. 30 minutes later he gets it started and charged me 1/4 to 1/5 the cost of a new unit. InSink, remember that name. Old school honest plumbers. read more

Gary Jr. is fantastic! I recently had InSink install a tankless water heater in my home and I could not be happier. My old water heater was 20 years old and it was in a small closet with no floor drain next to a wood floor. I felt I was living on borrowed time and I wanted to get it replaced before it sprung a leak and ruined the floor. Gary figured out the best place to install the tankless unit and not try to persuade me to leave it in the same closet like some other plumbers I had quote me the work. He listens to what the customer wants/needs and comes up with solutions. He is meticulous in his work and it shows! All my friends are jealous on how cool or should I say how hot it looks/works. If you don't want to be kicking yourself later hire InSink first. read more

We had a new garbage disposal installed in October of 2016, and InSink did a great job. However the other day it fell off. We called them since they installed it and they charged us $200 to put it back on. I was stunned and reminded him that they installed it and all he said was that it was last October. (10 months). He was probably here 15 minutes. I could not believe they charged us for something that was probably not installed correctly. Even the guy himself said these things don't normally happen. Unfortunately for me I am too timid to speak up. So while they did what I thought was a good job initially, I'm not happy that they charged so much for 15 minutes work. I hardly use it. Not like I put watermelon rinds down into it either. read more

I moved into my home in the area about 18 months ago. I called InSink on two occasions since they had done work for the prior owner. This father and son team are phenomenal! In a business where it is hard to find responsive service people, these guys have it down! Most recently, Gary, the son, came over to check on a problem with the alarm on my sump pump. First of all, in both situations, they responded to my call within 24 hours - win #1! Then, they were able to do the work SAME DAY - win #2!! Then, today, the son Gary explains all of the workings of the sump pump back up system to me, while replacing a part that he found to be just outside of the warranty....without an extra charge - win#3!! Then, to really cap things off....Gary mentions that he would follow-up to give me the name of someone to help with an old boiler heating system that I have here.....totally outside of his business!! omg, this team really gets it!!! So, now they have a customer for life. I highly recommend them.....the costs seem reasonable, and when you factor in the customer service delivery ....they are they best in the area! read more
