I'm not doing this review for a recent order; it was about a month ago that I last ordered from here. I was on here to do a review for another place, so I thought I'd do one for Mod pizza while I'm on here. I normally only do reviews when I'm outraged about something, however this place has been so consistently good that I just had to show my approval! I have ordered a custom pizza about eight or nine times this year since I first tried it, and it has been great each time! It is consistently good every time! I also like how they give you side cups of sauce free of charge! I don't know how a place can have such cheap prices for what I get! Keep it up and I'll keep coming back! Thank you! read more

Just ate my last ever Mod Pizza thanks to the condescending, un-groomed looking man at the cash register today. My pizza was placed on the self just behind the counter when it was ready. 2, 3, maybe 4 employees were chit chatting in the back while I stood there waiting for my food to be given to me and no one acknowledged me. When I decided I no longer wanted to wait, I stepped a single foot into their aisle-way and grabbed my pizza off the shelf, to which I was rudely told by the cashier, "Please do NOT step in our area again" in a bossy, patronizing tone. I was caught off-guard. You're kidding me right?? I should have schooled him. I am not really interested in eating cold pizza because your goddamn employees want to have social hour back there while I wait for my food. Here's a tip for you buddy: Do not EVER treat your customers like that...especially when you guys have filed for bankruptcy. You're in need of much more customer-friendly service. I am a business owner, I fire people like you in a heartbeat. Clearly there's no standard any more that employees are held to, I see it everywhere post-covid. Any loser will do. I will never step in "your area" again because I will never eat at a Mod Pizza again. Good luck with your bankruptcy! PS: Another helpful tip: take a shower before heading to work. Fun concept. It's like Subway for pizza. They press the dough fresh to order and you can either request a pre composed style or build your own from a choice of about 30 toppings. I choose a pre composed pizza and added a few items. Nice thin crust with the char of a stone oven. Perfect amount of crispy black bottom and edges, both in a good way. Same concept with the salads as well. Mega Caesar was perfect to split with the 3 of us along with one 11" pizza per person. Price was really affordable and staff was very friendly. read more

We were introduced to MOD Pizza by a friend. Since our introduction, we've gone back one a week for 4 weeks for date night. No other place exists where you design a pizza, it's roasted via a wood fire oven, and is all done under 15 minutes. This 15 minute mark starts when the first ingredient is added to the pizza by the way. Mod has a brand on the pizza market that isn't comparable to the other big names in pizza. There's an assembly line with customization much the same as Subway. The staff are enjoying what the do as they work much like Jimmy Johns. Here aren't TVs broadcasting sports events to distract conversation. Of the times we've visits, the music selection has been classic rock, 80s, and blues... I dig it. They've short tables, high tables (tables that require bar stools), long tables for groups, and a selection of tables outside with umbrella. They are located in a new upcoming area with lots of development. Starbucks, Jimmy Johns, Jamba Juice, Red Robin, Dickies, Icy Tai (AWESOME ice cream desert and bubble place), and Wendy's. There's a new hotel call Home 2 that is being built within walking distance. My Recipe BBQ sauce base with mozzarella, every meat except anchovy, olive, jalepeno, red onion, mushroom, sweet and spicy red pepper, and balsamic fig sauce drizzled on for a finish. read more

The food is great, I've eaten here since 2017, if you don't get a deal on the pizza, it's so expensive now because of inflation, I got a deal where you can an 11 inch pizza for 3.33$ so that's a steel. Every time I go, I get: a 11 inch pizza with white sauce on it, mozzarella cheese, extra chicken, spinach, drizzle of barbecue sauce, and cut in 8 peaces, because now they do 6 for some reason. Next time I go I'm for sure getting asiago cheese instead of mozzarella because asiago is really good because I've had it before in the sandwiches that a grocery store makes that is only in Western Washington, so I love how they have that cheese here. 5/5 stars for sure hands down. read more

We came in on a random Tuesday evening when nobody in the family felt like cooking. We were pretty excited about what we found. We're a little bit unsure what the place was going to be, but ultimately it was like Chipotle and a pizza place had a baby. Very new and upbeat insides greet you as you come in. The line forms to the left and one by one you place your order for pizza or Salad. There's a bunch of suggestions on the wall, but ultimately you pay one price and get as many fixin's as you want. The MOD size is the standard size and was $7.47. Add a small salad for $4.50 and if fed two of us pretty nicely. We had one of the employee suggestions from the wall, but ended up adding about 10 more toppings. It was perfectly cooked via the brick oven they have in back and came out in about 5 minutes. Salad was solid as well. Small, but good assortment of beer, wine and ciders including a bunch of local stuff and PBR. Few things better than a PBR w/ a scrumptious pie. The five star bounce comes from the service. The vibe here is excellent and super chill. A la Portlandia, they've got shirts that implore other to, "Keep MOD weird". I've been threatening to go to MOD Pizza for about a year. For whatever reason, I'd never made it here. Finally, I met a friend there for dinner. Not knowing exactly what to expect, I was quite impressed! MOD Pizza is basically a build your own pizza place. You pay for a specific size - and it comes with whatever toppings you want. For those who have a hard time deciding, they've got a slew of "classics" that have suggested toppings, however you can add or delete whatever you want! That's right....adding BACON is free (everything is better with Bacon!). They've got a great selection of toppings (I'm a meat pizza guy myself) and was not let down! They've also got 5+ types of cheese, which makes it interesting. The regular size pizza ($7.75) is plenty for a big guy and the small one was enough for my wife (but it seemed pretty small to me). You also have the option of turning it into a salad....if that you's your thing. The pizzas are cooked and ready in about 5 minutes - so the wait isn't bad. The only critique that I have is that the floor was NASTY. Our baby was playing and dropped some of her toys into an actual pile of dust. Aside from the lack of cleaning at our feet, this place is great. Check this place out, the food is awesome! read more

I'm vegan so this seemed like a great option for pizza. However, the first thing I noticed is that the red sauce had cheese floating around in it so I promptly told the server that I'm vegan so she was kind enough to grab a clean bottle of red sauce. But as we went down the line of veggie toppings I see meat pieces floating around in the veggies. The server was kind enough to avoid the meat but now my pizza is completely cross contaminated. Not sure I'll eat here again because of that. read more

We were in the mood for a good pizza and Mod delivered. Huge list of toppings and new mega crust was delicious. We have tried many local pizza places and this was the best. Many places skimp on the toppings and are just dough and watered down sauce. Mod is definitely not one of those. read more

This is my least favorite pizza place in Yakima. Yes they have Vegan options and their crust is to die for but- everytime I go there I end up having stomach pains afterwords. I usually order a mini size pizza that has 6 slices with loads of veggies and vegan cheese and no marinara (heard they add cheese). But I end up with stomach pains all day afterwords, not sure why but I can be certain its their food. Been there a handful of times and safe to say I won't be going again. Love how they host fundraisers, thats prety nice of a reaturant, but doesn't compel me to go. Real good if you enjoy healthy food options, real bad if you have a weak stomach. read more

The MOD location in Yakima was the first time is been to one and I knew nothing about the chain. It's now the staple of where we go to get pizza in the area. The choice of toppings, cheeses, meats, vegetables, extras is plenty. The crust is thin and light, the stone fire taste is delicious and the staff are always extremely friendly. I love it! Me and my husband usually get a medium size each so we have enough to take home with us. I definitely recommend getting a swirl off sauce on top! I love the sriracha. read more

Love this place food is yummy, employees are friendly and helpful as fast as you would expect from fast food with a taste you would expect from a high end restaurant. If your trying to eat healthy they got that covered too with there list of options you build your own pizza for a low price and if you want to cake on the toppings that's awesome you still get charged the same low price. To say we are obsessed is an understatement. All the toppings you want for one price and you can customize any of their suggested pizzas too. I love the pizza salad, and all the veggies and chicken with gluten free crust, which by the way is the best crust I have had. The kids get the mini maddys which are small cheese pizzas and add a couple toppings. Local beer and wine on tap, amazing milkshakes, fun people and a great atmosphere. Ordered a small pizza on their website as a last minute supper. The website was easy to use and the proposed pickup time was 30 minutes after I placed my order (a Wednesday night at 7pm). When I came in, I just had to go to the register to pick up the pizza. There were approximately 8 people in line, so I was happy I ordered beforehand. I didn't even have to sign a receipt for my credit card...I was hoping to tip on it but did not get the chance so I paid a tip with the little bit of cash I had on me. The pizza was very tasty with very fresh ingredients. I am a vegetarian, so I can't speak for any meat but the cheese, sauce and veggies were great. The perfect amount of cheese and sauce. The veggies were a little concentrated around the center of the pizza and I wish they had spread them out more towards the periphery. I ordered garlic, artichokes, mushrooms, basil and rosemary. Everything was well proportioned but I think the garlic may have been spotty because some bites were overwhelming in garlicky-ness. I wish I could have had fresh avocado and fresh tomato slices put on top of the pizza after it was baked but I didn't see options for that on the website (I'm just spoiled from my local/home LA pizza place offering this). The crust was thin but surprisingly worked well with the amount of sauce and cheese. They have a good recipe for the crust...if you don't like thin crusts, this place might not be for you. I also got a cookies and cream shake...very tasty and smooth. Highly recommended. Would upgrade to 5 stars if the veggies had been more spread out and had fresh options to top after the baking. read more
