Definitely don't order food at this restaurant through Yelp. The food is great, but the service isn't. I used the order online button right here on Yelp, and put in a $35 order. When I arrived, they told me that they don't work with Yelp or Yelp's partner Grubhub. I tried to file with Yelp for a refund, but neither Yelp or GrubHub was able or willing to help me. I'm not sure, but I do believe that the restaurant was paid for the order and that it was simply not fulfilled. I had to reorder it, and so I paid for it twice. Came here by myself at 7pm on a 100+ F day (outside temp was 96 F when I stepped inside). Ambience - 7/10 -- Very no-frills place. AC was not working in main dining room. AC works in bathroom, which was very clean. Very hot due to lack of AC, probably better ambience on other days. A good place to eat with a friend or get food to go. Service - 7/10 -- Self-service water. Chef was grumpy due to the hot day and being in ~100 F most of the day; he had also injured his ankle weeks prior and needed a cast. He was in a bit of curt mood, but I can imagine it was a real tough day. Food was beautifully pleasant and was freshly prepared fairly fast. Quality - 8/10 -- Delish, solid value halal food. Reminded me of halal carts, which I couldn't find in WA, only Vancouver BC and Portland. Big fan of the Mediterranean gyro cuisine. Bread was fairly plain. Food quality is as expected. Value - 10/10 -- $13+tax+tip for gyro salad is a solid dinner price in Yakima. Overall - 8.5/10 -- B for overall, A for effort. read more

I stopped at the Gyro house when I was going through Yakima specifically for the falafel, but sadly they were out. Instead I got an order of fried, samosas and babaganoush. The samosas were hands down the best item, they were absolutely phenomenal! The perfect medley of soft potato, onion and peppers with a slightly crispy wrapping. The pita bread was also amazing! Tender and cooked to perfection. The fries were pretty good, but nothing too special. I've not had a lot of babaganoush, but I didn't care for this one because of the strong Smokey flavor. Delicious meal! I was going to order the Gyro sandwich, and the chef explained the value of the special, including fries and a drink, and I was sold! I sat down in the impeccably clean dining room while my food was being prepared, and after a short wait, my order was ready. I eyed the Baklava in the case as I entered, so I added a piece of that to my lunch as well! Let's start with the fries, which were dressed in a tasty feta cheese, creamy sauce....yum! I enjoyed them, whilst lifting a hefty warm pita bread, positively stuffed with flavorful meat, crisp lettuce, onion and peppers! I was hoping for a good lunch, but what I got was a meal that was so satisfying! Oh, and the Baklava? It was not super sticky, and had the right amount of sweet...just a bit too much phyllo. On Saturday I ordered lamb shawarma dinner, when I got home and started to eat the meat, and realized that it was beef not lamb. I called the business, to let them know, the employee I talked to assured me it was lamb, that their meat comes from seattle. I've had lamb before and that was not lamb! It literally tasted like "Carne asada" the meat was tough and half of it was onions. I left my number so the owner could call me. I still waiting. Not sure if I would eat here again. I ordered through DoorDash and got the gyro sandwich. It was pretty good. I've had better flavored meat. I'm a bit confused about why they would add lettuce to a hot sandwich. By the time I began to eat, I was pulling out wilted and brown lettuce. I also got a side of Greek fries. Wow, just wow. What deliciousness! Had their falafel wrap while passing through Yakima on Thursday and hit the spot up again for chicken wrap coming back on Saturday. They were both amazing. The falafel is so well spiced that it reminded me of some Indian curry flavor, were soft on the inside and crispy outside. The chicken wrap was so soft and creamy, with a tiny bit off crinkle cut fries inside to add more character. The sauces used to flavor it and hummus were divine. On both days they were out of babaganoush due to eggplant shortage inb the area. Their wait times are long (about 20mins), so come prepared or order early for take out. read more

Came in on a Saturday afternoon in early July and there weren't too many people sitting inside (just 2 other parties). But the phone was constantly ringing with orders, and lots of Uber/DoorDash/etc drivers coming in so the place was pretty busy. We walked up to the counter and gave our order, then sat down. Didn't get a number for the table but there were so few of us that it didn't matter. Some empty tables had dirty dishes but can't blame the establishment as there was only 1 guy there doing all the work (taking orders, cooking, serving, etc). I guess they were feeling the pain from the labor shortage, but the food came quickly with friendly service so there wasn't any inconvenience felt. Major props to the guy for handling it all like a pro. We got a gyro salad and falafel gyro. They did not skimp on the falafels! That wrap was packed! The salad was huge and good. I wasn't even that hungry and I ate it all. Although it's a salad, it's definitely not a light healthy meal. After finishing, you go up to the counter to pay. This. Place. Is. Awesome. First off, they were very accommodating when we ordered. I'm gluten free (non-celiac so unsure about cross contamination) and their falafel is wheat free! We ordered hummus and instead of pita, had cucumbers for dipping. They let my husband sub lamb shawarma over the gyro salad instead of gyro meat. I ordered falafel salad. The hummus was to-die-for. Very obviously freshly made. I would have taken a picture but we ate it too fast! The falafel was so good. My husband took a bite and literally said "oh s--t that's fluffy". It was nice and crispy on the outside and also was obviously homemade. As for the lamb shawarma....omg. I don't even like lamb. It has been a point of contention since I married a Greek man. I couldn't stop stealing it off his plate!!! Not gamey at all. This is our second time and last time we loved the baba ghanoush too! 100% recommended. GREAT PRICES and the staff is so friendly. Yum! Hubs and I just had lunch here and it is so tasty! We both had the Gyro sandwich with lamb and beef and the BBQ gyro fries. Seriously yummy. The meat is seasoned well and you get these little bits of charred meat that tastes amazing. The fries are worth getting on their own. Only recommendation is ask for extra sauce on the side so you can add more if you want. Delicious. read more

How happy were we to discover our new favorite place for Greek food! I stopped in on the way home from work when the kiddos were being a bit rambunctious and we needed something quick. Little did we know the deliciousness that would ensue! This place it's just off Nob Hilland has really easy in and out access from the road. Walking in, it's got seating for 30 or so people in the number of TVs that were playing music videos in a language that I didn't recognize, but that was fun nonetheless. The gentleman at the counter was very nice, told me about the different options and then made the food for us. We got a Gyro plate and a lamb shawarma dinner, both of which were excellent. The gyro plate included a Gyro, drink and a new, incredible rendition of fries. I'm amazed that I haven't seen this sooner, but I'm so glad that we've now discovered it! The fries were covered in feta and Tzatziki sauce. Holy awesomeness! The Gyro was excellent as well. It was a little bit less meat then were used to, but it was made up for by the grilled veggies that were gently placed a top said meat. The lamb shawarma was downright awesome. Again, happily grilled and sitting atop a bed of saffron rice with a large puddle of hummus next-door. It was seriously some of the best Greek food we've had in a long time! We're pretty stoked that this place is on the way home from work. For the foreseeable future it's our go to spot for Gyros! read more

Took my family to eat here after my nieces soccer game, they're from the west side so they have lots of great food options but they were very impressed. My parents were with us too and they'd never had this type of food before, but were completely sold. We had gyro sandwiches (lamb & beef mix), pita and hummus, samosas, and chicken shawarma salads. Small parking lot that fills up during lunch time. I ordered a gyro 5.99 and wanted to make it a combo for 3.99. But low and behold during lunch time on a Thursday it came to a whopping 7.50 including tax because of a special! Large portions in the gyro and Greek fries. The gyro came with lots of bell peppers instead of lettuce but I didn't mind. This was a great value. The shop has lots of seating and gets lots of sunlight which is nice. read more
