Taking orders, making food, boxing to go orders and dropping off when prepared. You can imagine this delayed the process. So 25 min to get my wings and another 5 for the pizza. The kid was calm, cool and collected; so he had it all under control, but it was just too slow to be a one man operation with a limited menu. Food: This is just shameful. You have wood burning oven and you are putting out thick crusted, no taste pies! The sausage was frozen brought in, no better than any other chain or competitor. The saddest part was the crust: way too think to properly cook in such an oven. Then we move to wings. Chicken or pigeon? Could be eithe, since they were so small. Tossed in a nice sauce, but cooked in the oven as well? Overall: I gave it a shot. Prices are fair for the pizza. Pizza is better than MOD, but not a truly authentically prepared wood fire pizza. Fix the prep, add staff and some fresh ingredients! You can't buy fresh sausage at the local market?

The pizzas they serve here were really really good - Like way better than we expected them to be good! We grabbed a couple pizzas including the Avenue and a mona Lisa. And as previously stated, my expectations were for it to be good, but not incredible... And these were incredible! The crust was done really nicely, there were plenty of toppings, and overall it was just really nicely done pizza. Perhaps the biggest showstopper were the fried cheese curds. You need only take a two second look at me to understand that the love of cheese runs very deep. He's cheese curds for about as good as anything that I had back in the Midwest. The only place that I may have had better cheese curds is in Wisconsin, basically where cheese was born! We are excited to go back and try some of the other pizzas that are creative in name and topping. They've also got plenty of other good looking pizza alternatives. It's rather impressive and was more than I expected to see. This is a worth your trip spot to check out!

And for anyone complaining that the pizza takes too long, remember these are handmade, brick oven pizzas. This isn't fast food. Good pizza takes time, and in my opinion the quality is absolutely worth the wait. So glad to see HopTown back to feeling like HopTown. If you haven't been in lately, give them another shot. We're definitely happy we did.

I realize she's chosen to leave, but I believe it's because she has been undervalued and underappreciated. If you want to keep good people, you need to appreciate what they contribute to your business. Hoptown's loss will be someone else's gain. Shame on Hoptown management for not keeping someone who cares about it's clientele and works to ensure customers come back, over and over. Be well Kacey. We supported this establishment throughout the pandemic by buying gift cards for friends and monthly filling growlers for ourselves! I did nothing to deserve my treatment. I am a former bartender myself and would understand if I had. I'm just so mad that the bartender made me feel so bad when I had done nothing to warrant the cut off. It was embarrassing! I added a star to my previous review because the owner contacted me and did refund our tip portion. After explaining state law about over service and that he stands behind his staff he told me that the manager and other patrons also witnessed me yelling at this bartender. I'm even more disappointed in this situation and the lengths his staff will go to for each other. I never yelled. I don't believe the 3 other ladies in the bar had any complaints either.
