So impressed with how busy this location was. I went through the drive through and found the persons on the other end patient and friendly. When I go to the window my order was complete and when I asked for ketchup the gal who helped me (not taking the orders) was also friendly and accommodating. Overall the service felt 5 star, the 4 star I'm giving it due to the hamburger taste. It just felt lacking of taste. This doesn't reflect the service but does reflect the company. Ok I usually don't do fast food chain reviews but I feel like this place is so underrated. They have been here for years! Very vintage looking inside. The staff is so nice. They keep it very clean inside. Their burgers are great, they use angus which is awesome! Every time we eat here we leave full and happy. They have complimentary fry sauce inside. If you like it they also sell bottles. Prices are reasonable, the kids meals are great size and lots of options. Ice cream is yummy! read more

I just left the drive-through at Arctic Circle in Yakima after I ordered 4 specials and one waffle cone. The young man at the window tried to charge me several dollars more than the price on the menu, and when I brought it up, and what my order actually adds to, he said, "The prices were just raised in our system." I said, "But your menu still shows the prices that I am telling you, and I think you have to sell them for that - unless you change the menu." Then the young man told me again that the prices in their system were updated, stared at me, and just expected me to pay several dollars more than the menu price. I asked to speak to a manager, and the young man looked disgusted, so I just left. At that point, I did not want to risk getting food there anyway, just in case someone is mad at me for expecting them to sell food at the advertised price. I find it strange that he was expecting me to just pay more. I believe that if the young man was somewhere else buying something at the menu price, he would probably expect to pay that price for it. read more

I guess way back in the late 70s, early 80s, the Town of Cheyenne, WY had an Arctic Circle that my husband remembered as a kid, because it was on the south-side where he's from, but I moved there in middle school, to the north-side, in the mid- eighties, and I don't remember ever seeing it...anyways, wanted a burger, and didn't want standard fare McD's, so drove up. Ordered the Angus Quarter Lb N' Cheddar, and it came on a soft bun, dressed with Sauce, Lettuce, Tomato, and, drum roll please...Red Onion! On a fast food burger! ..Decent, respectful burger! Fries, meh.....the famous Fry Sauce did save the day with the dipping of the meh, and I'm sure if the fries were good, the sauce wouldn't have been necessary... We got jr bacon cheeseburgers and black angus cheeseburgers. They all provided amazing fast food euphoria on our taste buds. For anybody who's lived in Yakima of the past 30 years, they're probably familiar with Arctic Circle. This is one of the spots growing up that we would periodically go for the shake, and in high school we go because you could get a bag of cheeseburgers for like three dollars. In addition, they claim, rightfully so, to be the initial purveyors of fry sauce! It only took about 20 years, but it seems that now they are finally capitalizing on the magic that is the perfect ratio of catchup and mayonnaise combined into one delicious pink colored sauce. We came here on, of all days, Mother's Day. We somehow got onto the subject with some friends at church, and figured it was probably the right day to go celebrate with my best half and the kiddos. The outside has gotten a facelift, however the inside is effectively the same as it was when I graduated from high school in 2000. The same wooden sign inside with the Arctic Circle rainbow that I remember from when I was 10 years old and beyond. The really ironic thing is that some of the light fixtures, save the date it up. Would, are actually starting to come back in style. Well played Arctic Circle! I remember this place always being a little bit better than traditional fast food places like McDonald's and Burger King, but after experience, I feel like it's about a head above everything else. My better half at a taco salad, which was surprisingly good for a place that I wouldn't figure had of good taco salad. My bacon and cheddar burger tasted exactly how I remember Arctic Circle burgers tasting, better than the competition and not as good as I can make it home! The kiddos had kids meals, which had some hilarious looking characters on the outside of the bag and inside were mini corn dogs and chicken rings. As an aside, our three-year-old asked which part of the chicken the chicken ring came from... We're still not sure, but we're pretty sure it's the most delicious part. Lunch was filling, so we didn't have ice cream, but they have as many flavor options as I remember, definitely enough that it would take you multiple summers to try everything. Stopped in for Milkshakes with my kids and really appreciated the clean and chill atmosphere. The music was at the right volume, the interior layout and design harkens back to a simpler time in the 80's and 90's when I was a kid and was very clean. Been awhile since I've been here. This place cares what the food tastes like, fish and chips are great (not the price). Burgers are moist as are the buns. Decent onion rings ( I hate all fries everywhere in Crackima). Shakes are..... actual milkshakes and not a chemical slurry of industrial processed fakery. Drinks taste like they're 'sposed to, not like a cola with root beer bleeding thru. Nice workers (for a change). This is the only AC left in Wa state so treat it well. This is always a great go-to for a quick, economical meal. The fry sauce is a nice touch, seems a specialty here. The staff is always friendly, the food is consistent and the parking is easy. They also have a drive-through. We made a deliberate detour here on our way to wine country. I grew up with Arctic Circle in Seattle, my girlfriend had never experienced it. I had a ¼ bacon burger. The flavor was good, but it was shy on bacon. It looked like a single strip that was broke in half instead of putting two full strips on the burger. Fries were also good, but I recall crinkle cut fries as an Arctic Circle signature. Beverage selection was also shy. Plenty of shakes and lemonades, but a Freestyle machine would have been nice. It was nice to partake in some nostalgia, but the overall experience would not be enough for me to return. I think Miners would have been the better choice, but since my girlfriend had been there before, she wanted to try something new. For the money, I can see why there are so few location, you will never have a thriving business at these prices. read more

Ahhh, nostalgia! I remember going to Arctic Circle as a kid. Cheese Burger, Ranch Burger, FRY SAUCE! By now, we all know it's just ketchup and mayo mixed, but back in the '80's? You would have thought they developed it in space! I can't say I'd give it 4 stars if I went in today. It is a restaurant chain that's hanging on, though. I love when you meet people not from the PNW who have no idea what Arctic Circle is. Most of these restaurants have long since gone out of business and it's on rare occasions passing through smaller towns that you find them. I hadn't been to an Arctic Circle in about 10 years and to be honest I don't really remember eating at them often as a child, but nonetheless you if see one, best to stop and have a shake. They serve simple fast food faire, nothing ritzy or off the wall, just simple burgers and fries. They do have an oddly large fish menu. Which if you're feeling daring by all means enjoy. Didn't go back to Artic Circle but did write them a letter & enclosed the hairs. Did not ask for my money back, did not ask for food replacement, just gave my phone & address & asked if someone could contact me just for a brief discussion.
